Greg didn't even think about it as he pulled out his gun from his shoulder holster. That man had hurt Kenth and Alex and that was all that he really had to know to know that he didn't like the man at all. Like being want him to continue living, of course.
He fired off shots before anyone could get nearer and possibly get hit, even as he ran twoards him. He had a knife with him too, and he could use that once he got closer or ran out of bullets. Hopefully he wouldn't run out before he could shoot once right between the things eyes.
Irame drew out her short sword but didn't go forwards, not yet anyway. She still had some blood and she could use that from a disance. Eve as she pulled out her sword she pulled out a vial as well and uncquorked it, dumping it's contents on the sword in one fluid motion before tossing it aside.
She pulled out another vial and threw it as hard as she could at the feet of the man, away from Kenth and Alex. The vial broke, and the blood splattered around the area, eating away at what it touched inedeatly. It wouldn't kill something, but it would make moveing harder

Weiyuan had feared to see this scene. As much as he didn't show how much he cared for Alex, he did consider her his sister. He was glad that Kenth had fought, it had definately helped buy time but nerds weren't meant for the battlefield.
He would not forgive that...whatever it was...for harming his beloved jie jie. The moment that shot rang out in the air did he tense. Damn. His strong point wasn't long distance nor did he even have an weapon to use. At the very least he was glad to know that the other creature was mortal.
The half-native moved around the tree closer to Alex. Rescuing the hostage was always first priority. The boy quickly moved in, his sights set upon the creature not afraid of having to fight. He would most definately do his best to get some blows in but getting her out of the field was more important.
Muscled arms picked the larger woman up before dashing back into the trees, moving closer to were the rest of the battalion was. Wei settled her down behind the first line of fire. He smirked at her, brushing away some stray hairs. Softly he whispered, "" Taking of his jacket, he placed it upon her, his trust for her care going to some one else. He would participate in this battle, no matter what others said.

Lina nodded, drawing her own gun and surging forward, ignoring the cramps that were clenching around her abdomen. She was fine. The baby was fine. She was fine. The baby was fine....
It was this mantra that helped her fire two shots into the man--or whatever it was--before she doubled over, the cramps too much to bear. Vaguely, she hoped that she wasn't having a miscarriage.
God, NO! Not my baby! NOT MY BABY!
Dante's head felt lighter, lighter...and suddenly he felt grounded, drawing a quartz from his pocket and placing it within his palm.
Into the clearing, he raised his hands above his head, letting the quartz catch the light and reflect about, growing brighter and brighter and brighter....
"Atara anin! Come forth and vanquish those you see as your enemy, and protect those that fight in your name! CYLIA VAE!"
He felt the light concentrate within his hands and he lowered them, aiming towards the creature and hoping to hit it with the light, vaguely wishing that the other Goddesses were awake--it was hard with just Mana's help....

A quiet whimper escaped his lips, lost in the first clash of the battle that followed as Weiyuan brought their unconscious sister to the group. "" he looked at his older brother with wide eyes, kneeling by the unconscious woman, preparing to tend to her, "" RuiZhi trailed off, knowing well that everyone could see the red against his torn white jacket. They'd have to treat him, and quick, before any of the spores from their previous jaunt could harm him.
The boy carefully pried open one of the woman's eyes, frowning to himself as he tried to concentrate on the state of her pupils and the obvious signs of a concussion. The truth was that he was shaking, badly; he had known there was a good chance he'd have to treat his own family, but looking at her now with her hair down and matted with blood, some dried on her face, he was horribly afraid. He was afraid that he'd fail, afraid that he'd hurt her, or worse - he was afraid that he'd be useless.
He gave a rough shake of his head and quickly started pawing through his belongings, producing some of the first aid goods he had packed. He may fail, but he was all she and the doctor had right now; he'd have to do the best he could. RuiZhi sifted through Alex's bag until he found the canteen he was looking for - it smelled awful and was marked differently, meaning that it was the tonic. The boy had to fight for his focus as the magic started, making something in him pull, the small hairs on his nck standing on end in answer. With a grim expression and gauze squeezed in shaky hands, he carefully started to search for the wound on the back of his patients head.
Herei stood perfectly still, knowing that it would depend on the few with him now to take down what was standing in front of them. How the thing was alive was a little alarming, and its very existance could only confirm his worst suspicions. He carefully released Dante as the man started to cast - he didn't want to be a distraction - and did so just in time to catch Lina and cradle her against him. "Be strong. It will be over soon. Be strong for the both of you."
He did not try to stop Weiyuan or RuiZhi as they quickly divided their abilities and got to work; he was proud that the students of the school, even though not as educated as they should be for something of this scale, were still doing their part. His keen eyes moved between the charging Greg, the casting Irame and Dante and finally to the doctor who was bleeding rather badly on the ground.
Well. If Kenth wasn't dead, he'd daresay the mission would be a success after they took care of this...demon.

Greg slowed down as he noticed that someone had grabbed Alex, but that Kenth was still near the fight. Too near for Gregs liking. One last shot at the thing and then he veered off to Kenth and grabbed him, careful to not agitate the wounds that he had. He didn't want Kenth getting hurt anymore.
"Watch him too." He said to the boys near Alex, setting Kenth down near them.

RuiZhi had put a fair square of gauze on the back of Alex's head when Greg brought Kenth. The boy couldn't help but stare; the man looked awful. "I'll take care of them," he reassured Greg and his brother, "please be careful so I don't have to look after you two." He offered a thin but encouraging smile before quickly going to work on the doctor; Alex would have to wait, and he had a feeling she would understand.
The boy wasn't sure of himself enough to try and remove Kenth's jacket, instead opting to treat the wound through the clothes, tearing them apart a little so he could get to it. Using clean drinking water, the tonic, a salve he had created to use as an antiseptic and liberal amounts of bandages, RuiZhi used all he knew from his mother and his studies to keep two of the most influential adults in his life safe from the ravages of his home country.

Wei growled to himself, his gaze stilling upon Herei. Indeed, how could he fight? He didn't dare get caught up in the throws of those range attacks. But he wouldn't stand back and do nothing.
He turned back to the two injured adults, taking in everything that his younger had done so far. His bag flew unto the ground, opening them enough so that he could see all that he had brought. He was studying to become a doctor, there was no way that he could come here without medical supplies.
He took his place next to Kenth, feeling for the whitenette's vitals. In turn he checked over Alex. As long as the two were alive. As long as they were breathing. They had a chance. He had felt for the gauze in the back of the woman's head, pressing back on it. She might have a concussion but his hopes were set on this battle ending quickly.

The stranger let out a loud cry of pain as all of a sudden, a knife, three bullets, and some unknow magic hit his body. Frustrated and surprised by the sudden turn of events, the man turned around to see what was going on. The wounds that were left in him were deep, but not critical enough for him to lost the will to fight. He spat.
"More pests..." The man hissed. He pulled out a long knife that had been tightened behind his back, ready to face the group. Blood started to drip down from his body, and the man could almost feel the energy calling him...
Luna, his people...they were near, almost ready...
With a howl, the man leaped from where he was and sprint forward, his knife aimed at whoever was closest to him. The shadow creature behind him also started toward the group, like a hungry wolf coming down to her prey.
He'd stop at nothing to awaken his race.

Elijah was beside RuiZhi, Wei and the fallen doctor and Alex in a matter of seconds and as his eyes traveled over the injured he gave a slight wince, judging the magnitude of the wounds they suffered. He was impressed, however, by Rui's professional approach to the matter as he quickly treated their injuries to the best of his ability with the provisions he carried along with him.
Now what could the blue eyed teen do? He couldn't fight, not without the position of a weapon and nor did he have it in him to harm another, even if it was true that this stranger had harmed Alex and Kenth. Of course that didn't stop his distrustful rage toward the man and only hoped that their mission would pull through brilliantly with his defeat.
Kneeling beside them he released a sigh and plopped his bag down as Weiyuan had done but unlike either of them the only medical equipment he had with him was a roll of gauze which he put into use immediately. While the other two focused on Alex and Kenth's major injuries he pressed the light cuts in order to cease their bleeding hoping that in some way he was helping.
"If there needs to be anything done please tell me. I'll do anything," he commented not speaking directly to either RuiZhi or Weiyuan.

Lina grit her teeth, standing, glaring at the man. He wasn't...human. Lina didn't know what he was. And honestly, she didn't really give a ********. He was hurting her--but most importantly he was hurting what was within her.
And she was ******** pissed.
She cocked her gun again and fired, blindly, modifying a quote from a book she had read what seemed a long, long time ago.
"NOT MY BABY, YOU SON OF A b***h!"
((Sryz I had to. *shot*))
Dante grit his teeth, jumping back a bit as the rock he'd held in his hands crumbled into dust and fell to his side. Quartz was always a bit unreliable--according to Professor Manneth, the molecular makeup was just too weak to take the mana that he acquired to cast his magics.
That was why he preferred diamonds, preferably set in mythril--it was reliable and strong, and the ones he'd had in Iliodean would usually serve him at least 100 human years at a time before breaking. But he didn't have that luxury. He needed to keep the diamonds he had now for if he really needed them.
He raised his hands again, quartz tucked in between them, waiting for the mana to gather, almost there, almost there...
NOW!

The stranger swung his long knife, the knife's black metal body came in contact with Dante's magic, making sparks flying in the air. The blow was forceful, but the man had defeneded himself well with the long knife, but he wasn't sure the knife could handle more hits.
Even so, he laughed at Dante.
"Is that all you can do, you little elven man?" The stranger cackled like a crazed man. "Let me show you how to fight for real!"
Raising the long knife above his head, the man charged at Dante, swinging his blade to meet the elven man's head.

So the man had an enchanted blade--this was no good, then. He needed to get in close in order to deal with him.
Dante twisted his head and stepped back, but he got a cut on his cheek and ended up falling flat on his back--it would have almost been comical, had it not been for the fact that his adrenaline was pumping and he was soafraidofdyingnohecouldntdieyet.
So his hand went to the inside of his outer robes, drawing a dagger that he had once made in Ilioden in his spare time. He rolled out of the way of the blade and prepared to defend himself.

"Greg, this is your area of expertise." Herei wasn't hesitating from entering the fray; no, he was making sure the situation stayed contained. He had long since released Lina when she got angry - he knew all too well that there was no reasoning with women like that - and was still near enough to Dante that the charging man never should have not considered him a threat.
In a sharp movement that would undoubtable catch the man off guard, his right hand struck out in a perfect line, palm open, connecting with a sickening noise to the side of the man's head and ear. Herei figured if he got lucky, he'd be without use of that ear for a short while, and he'd accomplish knocking the man off his war path while Dante prepared himself.
He hoped Greg would engage and wear the man down...they would soon be running out of time if the shadowy-girl started in on them.

He felt completely and utterly useless. His first impulse had been to watch in stunned horror, but he knew that he couldn't do that for long...people were hurt, they needed help... Farlest could almost taste the emotions in the air...and what he could feel from that man...that man who had been so carefully shrouded before, it almost made the young man physically ill.
"Lacho calad...drego morn..." He murmured the words, swaying a bit, before green eyes snapped open, suddenly alert. Making his way to Elijah's side, he then edged around him, kneeling beside Alex.
She couldn't die...she wasn't allowed to. Biting his lip, the teen's fingertips brushed the woman's hair. "You're going to make it out of this..." He promised quietly, "We all are..." However, his words could not stop the tears that came to his eyes.
"How is she?" This directed at Wei.
Glancing upwards, he looked about for Ka'hmesh...his friend had been there just a second ago...this was a fight, dammit...and he wanted to know where the other was.

Wei glanced at the two who also joined them. It was best, if you couldn't fight then do what you could to heal. Wei layed Alex gently back down, brushing back her hair. "She's strong. She'll be able to hold up, but we have to finish the battle as soon as possible. For both of them." The brunette's gaze shot to the main fight. Herei had stepped into the battle. The urge to step in was strong since he himself was also skilled in martial arts. Not as much as their professor of course but it was better than those who specialize in long range.
