Ah.. well that is understandable, though you'll be making a lot more choices yourself in the future.
Daemon pointed out, one did not need to see into the future to know that. It was just common sense where Gion was and what he was doing at the moment.

Gion smiled a bit and nodded, more to himself than to Daemon, as he started to undress.
Anyways, I'm going to bed now, he told Daemon. Talk to you again in the morning.
He took off the sword belt and hung it over a bedpost, then slipped into bed and pulled the blanket up over his shoulders. Within moments, he was sound asleep.

Morning came swiftly for Gion, but he was ready for it. He was well-rested and eager to be on his way, and he dressed quickly and threw the sword belt across his back.
Good morning! he thought to Daemon chipperly. All set and ready to go?

Daemon woke.. or at least came to be aware it was no longer sleeping time by Gion's greeting.
Good morning, and I'm ready whenever you are.
Since really he didn't need anything else really.

Gion grinned. Then I just have to find my bag, say goodbye to everyone ... and then we can go, he thought cheerfully. Did you want to talk to anyone before we left?

Oh... I would just like to say good bye too, that would be fine.
Daemon replied since it was kind of akward since he had to be held (which the thought was even more akward) before anyone could hear him.

All right then, Gion nodded, and headed into the kitchen. He spotted his bag on the floor by the door and picked it up, then slung it over his shoulder.

Ulani and Ulrich were seated at the table, eating their breakfasts when Gion entered the room.
"I filled your bag with as much food as I could," Ulani told him, turning in her chair to face him. "Apparently your bag holds as much as your sister's though ..." She let her voice trail off, and offered him an encouraging smile. "You'll be fine, I'm sure."
Ulrich swallowed his mouthful. "It's been good to have you here, Gion," he said seriously. "And I wish you the best in your travels. Come back again before you head home, won't you?"
He smiled kindly.

Yes, west, Gion agreed with Daemon, then turned to Ulani and Ulrich. Once his hands were free, he signed, Thanks for everything ... I did enjoy my stay here, it's just time to leave again. You understand ... I hope.
And he slid the sword out of its sheath on his back and held it out to Ulani and Ulrich so that Daemon could say his goodbyes.

"Of course we understand," Ulani smiled. "After all, we were once the same."
And she and Ulrich both reached out and put their hands on the blade of the sword.

Daemon chirped happily.
I do hope we'll be able to visit in the future, perhaps on the way back to the city. It has been nice meeting the both of you.

Ulani laughed out loud.
"Not a problem at all," she chuckled, thinking it at the same time. "Trust me - you're the easiest house guest we've taken care of ever."
Ulrich chuckled as well. "It was great meeting you, Daemon," he said sincerely. "I hope with all my heart that you find a way back to your family and your body."

Gion chuckled as well, then resheathed the sword so that he could ask his relatives one final question.
Do you know where Mother is? he signed hopefully.
