The kid was going to attract attention. Amunet moved over to the cannon, peeking in at the child. "Oi, little one, if you can be really quiet during our trip and hide with me, I'll give you two shineys, one now and one when we arrive..." She spoke quietly, just loud enough that the child could hear her.

It was almost like some sort of mad preschool, where the girl was the teacher taking care of a group of unruly shildren... only the only real child here was the boy with the large thing on his back.
As bad of a hiding spot the child had chosen, being mostly in plain view and making a ruckus at the same time, Turriens was equally as badly hidden. Not because he was standing in the open, but rather, he was hiding behind a few barrels. The only problem was, being as moronic as he is, he refused to take the large plumed hat off his head. And as a result, even though his body was well hidden, the plume stuck up over the barrels, standing out easily.
And he didnt exactly think it was fair that the child was given shineys when he wasnt. Of course, perhaps the word 'shineys', used in such a loose format meant different things. To the swashbuckler, it was not exactly money, coins and riches, but rather, anything which caught his eye. A colourful piece of glass, a very shiney piece of gold, or maybe a polished plate.

He moved through the crowd, yellowed eyes gazing out, just looking into the various windows of the shops he passed, both hands stuffed into the pockets of the pants he wore. He wore a sort of body forming, turtle neck shirt, the sleeves cut off and showing off the broad and tanned shoulders. The tips of his raven colored hair were shining a golden hue, the same color as the thin twin braids that swung loosely behind his back.
He stopped at a fruit stand, watching as the owner dealt with a young couple, before moving towards him.
"Good afternoon, how can I help you today?"
Victor blinked, having intended to continue walking, and feeling a little embarassed for getting lost in his thoughts. "Ah...I... Sorry, I was just browsing." Victor turned to go, before the vender moved his hand quickly, tossing something. ! Victor reacted, palm slightly open as he caught the projectile... only find it was nothing more than an apple.
"Why..."
"Your from the Stadium right?" the vendor smiled, waving his hand about. "Thanks to you people, we've ha dnothing but good business here. We all know about what happened, and we're all willing to help anyway we can. Please, take it as a token of gratitude."
"...Y-Yea." Victor smiled, returning the nod to the vendor, and leaving him be. These people... He walked away, back into the crowd, as yellowed eyes stared down at the apple.

Kana had been searching since the morning before and she hadn't slept or eaten in the last couple of days, not since Enki had told her what happened. Where were they? Were they alright? Was... Kana's train of thought was interrupted as she felt a familiar presence nearby. It was so strange, it felt like Vahn, only there was something slightly different, though she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Grey eyes scanned the crowd of people until finally she spotted someone who looked familiar. Vahn? No, Kasuga? It looked like Vahn, only it was Vahn as he had appeared when he was Kasuga. What was going on?
"Vahn!?" Her voice carried over the crowd as she made her way towards him. "Kasuga!?" She honestly didn't know what to call him.

His head turned, just as he bit into the apple, a distinct crunch sounding out, even as yelowed eyes focused on someone calling his brother's name. Someone... calling his name? He'd left behind the stuffy goverment clothes, as well as that mask of his-- so no one oculd possibly know that the newest council member, was out and about, let alone his real identity.
You see, you wouldn't be able to pull up a record, or any type of history on him-- and just like now, if any would notice him, it would be as his older brother.
Who is she supposed to be? I never bothered digging in too deeply to my brother's personal life...
He lifted a hand, letting her know he heard her.. it was certainly better than just ignoring her. "Hey!"

"Vahn! Oh thank the gods! I was so worried about you. Where's Serenity? Is she alright? Is she safe?" All of this was said in a rush of relief as she pushed her way through the crowd and threw her arms around him. Sure Vahn and Kana were seperated, but that didn't mean that she didn't care about him. She was the mother of his child after all...

So is this what you've been up to... "Oh-- that's good. I've...been looking for you too!" You think fate is just going to sit around and let you have a normal life? "Serenity's safe... she's with the Kyonuske, don't you remember?"
His eyes narrowed intently for a moment, as she pressed up against him in a hug, which he returned awkwardly at first, but recovered quickly enough.
"So where have you been? Didn't I tell you where I was going?" She could be of use to me...

"No... How could I have been told any of this if I wasn't in the stadium before it was destroyed?" Had he forgotten that they were separated? That she had left weeks before the stadium was destroyed? How could she possibly know what had happened to them? Kana pulled back, looking up at him. She had an uneasy feeling that something just wasn't quite right about him.

"I'm glad you weren't there then... you could have gotten seriously injured." He said softly, brushing a hand against her cheek, yellow hues looking down at her, and a soft smile on his face. She doesn't know where he is then... Useless to me.

What was so different about him? There was something that made her feel uneasy. Again her train of thought was interrupted as she felt his hand brush her cheek. That touch... she missed that touch, his touch. "Y... yes... I'm just glad you and Serenity made it out alright... I should have never left..."

"Don't be so hard on yourself. There was no way you could have known..." Why... "I'm just glad to see you, again," Why did you give up everything for her... He brushes his knuckles against her cheek once more, before cupping her chin, the crowd never ceasing in it's movement as the bodies flowed around them.
What makes her so special?! "Kanashimi." His eyes locked with hers, as the two of them were unmoving among the sea of bodies, locks of raven hair fluttering with the gust of wind that gently moved through. Brother... I'll take good care of her for you. Ahehe...hehehe...ahahahahahaha....

Kana looked up at him, blinking once. Something about this didn't seem quite right and yet at the same time, it all seemed so perfect. She flashed back to that day in the infirmary when Kasuga had first kissed her. "I... uhh..." She started to pull away. Things had changed that day in the infirmary, whether it was for better or for worse, she still wasn't sure. Either way, she and Vahn were separated and whatever was happening between them at that moment couldn't just happen... could it?

"What's wrong? You look so tired... how long have you just been walking around for?" He held onto her, not hard, but not exactly loose enough to just allow her to pull away completely.

Enki Leviathan ((You're a ditz, Josh)) *Enki is still standing at the docks, looking out onto the Sea of Gambino. He is just sitting, watching the waves, listening to the serene water and the bustling town. Then something he doesn't often hear in Latent. Vnn vnn vnn vnn vnn VNN vnn vnn vnn. A motocycle... to his left... to his left? A mototcycle on the dock? Enki turns to look at the motorcycle and the one riding it* (( Like, ya know, whatEVER! gonk )) The engine of the small motorbike revved again and the wheels spun beneath it, jerking into sudden motion and accelerating quickly. It bore down upon the blue-haired elemental without any deviation... just like in the movies, where the mysterious stranger and the hero of the story would have their first meeting, with a motorcycle bearing down upon the other until it veered away at the last moment and skidded to a stop dramatically... ...only this motorbike didn't veer, nor did it skid dramatically to a stop. About one hundred feet away the gas was let off, and it coasted closer for the next fifty feet, where the brake was applied and the black-clad, oh-so-mysterious stereotypical dark horse character rider came to a stop upon his vehicle a good ten feet in front of the Leviathan. "...yo~!" The rider shouted, having to raise his voice above the sounds of the noisy engine, and he raised a hand in a half-wave to the other after putting his feet down to the ground on either side of the bike. Vnn vnn vnn vnn...(( IM me when you get on or something, because I don't know if I'll check the thread tonight otherwise. >< ))

"A few days maybe... I dunno..." To tell the truth, Kana hadn't had a decent meal or a decent night's sleep in ages. It was like the days before she'd met her friends, when she had done nothing but travel.
