Well, Lazenca wasn't passed out or anything. Just a little... taken aback at everything. He was right... Vahn was out cold, in the cold.

"...Sunstrike...?"

After Sun wriggled free, Lazenca stood and shifted Transitional once more. He looked at Vahn, then up to the one all of this fighting seemed to be about.

"Are you okay...? Sit down for a minute or something..." He stepped up again to put a hand on Sun's shoulder.

The anti magic shield was gone, the tower was gone. Sun stood on the edge and looked so hard he started to get a headache, which grew suddenly when Laz touched his shoulder.

The large being that had been built around him only channeled magic that he took into pure energy. It kept him in control, because he hadn't really been there.

When Laz put his hand on Sunstrike's shoulder, the other man would feel the pull and the ice around them started to shift. Sun was purifying the magic into something more condenced.

Ice magic suddenly realized how it was naturally supposed to be. Raw. And all of Lazenca's training wouldn't compare to the span of experiance he didn't know.

There would be visions of the ice spreading outwards until there was nothing but frozen Tundra. Paradise for a raw source of ice. And Laz's magic would be drawn by these visions, even if the human behind that power was more then a little stunned.

Blocks and gates of the mind wouldn't matter if both sides tried to get out at the same time.

"What the hell did you two do to my friends?!"

It was an interupton in the flow, and Sunstrike was back to staring at the man, the visions faded. There was no recognition in his voice, and no remorse as Sun turned around and looked at the man that had just had his magic seduced out from under him. Laz would instantly notice the instabability, even before the surface he was on began to move and buckle.

This wasn't Sunstrike, and if Laz wasn't hurt now....

Sunstrike

A weight in the body, mind and spirit? Or was it detatchment from the world? Something happened... Lazenca knew not what, but the result of that unknown something was a feeling of "wtf" manifesting itself in a hand that now hovered in hand, retracted quickly and refusing to lower once more.

Lazenca's answer came slow and it came quietly, a sharp contrast to Sunstrike's yelling. There was a slow blink before his mouth actually opened.

"You're both hurt. I have food and shelter. Follow me."

Ice exploded upwards, a wall forming between himself and the other two. His distorted reflection was seen walking off into the snow.

Sunstrike was gone, not bothering to answer the invitation. He had to know what happened, where was his new home? Leaving Wulf to deal with the wounded Vahn. He knew they wouldn't go far, if he really needed answers.

Runes followed in his wake as he trailed the monstrous wreckage that had been his cell for the past few weeks, they burned themselves into the snow and held, glowing lightly with all the leaking magic. It was like a build, he could feel the stuff seeping straight into the gap that had been left, spiralling into the center of the cold island and just...pooling. It wouldn't be long until the affects would show. Already strange things were happening to the animals, and the terrain.

Ice sculptures tried to form themselves into beings, only to be washed away. The magic was strong, but it wasn't enough yet, and Sun was taking too much for any solid formation to outgrow it's boundaries.

He was cold, and he didn't like it. Ravages of his clothing started to repair itself, shadow stuff building upon what wasn't there. A black collar from a skin tight shirt that went all the way up to his nose, stitched together with a white seam. A jacket and gloves of pure white, angry flames stretched along the bottom half. White pants and boots to match it all. He looked like a ghost...a very pissed off one. The only red now was the colour of his hair, for some reason, that hadn't changed like the rest of him.

Puffs of hot air streamed as he stood on the rim of what had once been a tower you could see even off the opposite coast.

Everything was gone, just a large circle of newly fallen snow marking what had once been the place that he might have found comfort in, if he'd just had more time. He didn't register the fact that he'd been used as a monster, or that maybe things had gone a bit south when the doctor had injected him, just that Mary's face had been so lonely, and so happy when she'd seen him again.

Leaning down, jacket all but fading into the white as it encircled his body. He put his hand down and picked up some of the ice.

"What can you tell me, earth...what have you seen?" Runes exploded outwards and Sun's eyes faded as if he were watching something internally. When it was done, about an hour later, he was practically shaking. He ripped his gloved hand away and fell into the snow just staring at the empty circle.

"This isn't how it was supposed to go...this wasn't...YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DO IT RIGHT!!!" He screamed at the empty air and snow exploded outwards on a titanic level, the rumbles felt along the whole of the island. Then he calmed down, almost frighteningly fast.

Sun had, after all, a debt to pay. But it wasn't to the doctor anymore, that had been followed willingly and he was still here, which meant that the deal had fallen through.

But Mary...she deserved a good memory. She deserved her garden.

He strolled straight into the middle of the circle, it was so large, that took him a good few minutes. The air crackled around him as the pooling magic was taken hold of.

Wave after wave of snow piled outwards until it was ice, and then the ice started to melt. He could feel the solid earth below and wanted to get to it. Finally, standing on the edges of a small crater, he struck dirt. Now the fun part could begin.

Sunstrike reached into the air and pulled at some of the raw magic. With a surprised pop, a seed condenced out of it. He stared at the small creation with an almost threatening glare and then calmly dropped it into the pit.

Finally he sat at the edge, and waited. It had a long way to fall after all. The rumbles hadn't stopped, and there was a feeling. It was a wrenching, forcing kind of movement that broke the iceburg edges of the island, causeing Jean to squeak and scramble for new purchace on the more solid outter rim.

Guldor was moving. Plants needed sunlight, after all.

Something wasn't right.

Maybe an understatement.

While he would have been happy to be let alone and simply let the world pass on without him, the recent activites kind of flipped the bird to the notion. He didn't intend to wake up.

He didn't want to wake up.

But like some super-caring mother, he was nagged and nagged repeatedly until he fell out of bed and landed on his morning wood.

Painful, yes.

Deserving, probaly not.

But here it was.

His body was resonating with the amount of power bleeding out int he area and reacting to what Sunstrike was doing. Either way, he found himself coming to in the arms of a big hairy...guy..?

"Whu..."

Yeah, that about covers it... "in his arms." Lazenca had Vahn over his right shoulder, looking forward. He never expected anything to happen, nothing like that. From fighting him, Lazenca knew subconciously that Sunstrike wasn't going to do well with the ice. But... who'd erected that structure?

"..."

He would come back for Sunstrike. He wouldn't pull at the magic that made him as slow and zoned as he was now. It was a touch of something unknown and unrecognized. Unexplainable and yet unattainable.

"I'll come back."

One minute later.

He stopped his slow stepping and looked down. The distance between them and Suntrike's last known position wasn't great at all... sixty paces, if that. As Lazenca came unto himself, so did Vahn. Three voices spoke the words softly, one going in reverse for that great effect that creeped people out.

"There's a place to rest some short distance away if you'll take it. Sunstrike declined the offer. I'm going back for him when you're settled... you're in no condition to struggle."

He's.... No... no-- NO!

Even as Lazenca spoke, everything was a blur to Vahn. Blood and sweat streaming across his face, and the far off sensation of pain to come from both busted knuckles... yet all of that was washed over with the single image of that man.

Sunstrike---!

Lazenca would have no choice but to simply Vahn to his own devices, because the man was certainly out of it right now.

"Even if.... you say that... I can't.. leave..."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 01, 2007 12:17 am

Maybe you didn't hear me.

"You're in no condition to struggle."

This is my first time travelling with you. Is this what it's like being around you when not fighting? Are you always so untrusting of people, so stubborn?

"But I'm not leaving you out here."

Lazenca released a deep sigh into the wind, then turned right back around. How curious, this beast known as Vahn Kyonuske. He would have to observe more this man, and see how it played out... of course, short of allowing both him and the one he was watching to die. Not on his watch.

Just under a minute later, Vahn was lowered to the ground at just about the same place he was picked up.

"Last thing I need is to have to bury or eat both of you out here. Don't do anything stupid like actually moving. Just... rest there I'll go in after him."

Sunstrike

PostPosted: Sat Jan 06, 2007 7:41 am

Soft sounds came from the eye of what was building to be a strange cloud formation over the moving island. From above and below, it would look like a hurricane that had frozen itself.

There were a lot of things to think about when you moved a geological pole of a place, most of which the authour of all this couldn't begin to understand. Suffice to say that Sunstrike would, even in the jumble, be able to pick it apart and scramble the sufficiant lines in order to make what was now happening...in all it's tradgic setting, happen.

And this Gaia would still go on, he couldn't just leave things to become destroyed after going to all that trouble of making an island for Mary.

That's what he was trying to do now, humming softly to himself in a disjointed fashion and building...a snow castle?
PostPosted: Mon Jan 08, 2007 1:56 pm

Lazenca's eye caught the odd weather pattern, but he was seriously more worried about getting Sunstrike... who was currently fashioning snow forts... out of the cold.

Wait, what?

"Hey, Sunstrike!" The last time Laz touched Sun, there was something undescribable that washed over him, a rush of power. We won't be doing that again, just yet. The best way to get the guy's attention was to throw a snowball at him, so that's what Lazenca did. Nice and soft, and no rocks, either.

"Vahn's not going to make it out here, and he refuses to go anywhere without you, so... come on, let's get out of here." He wasn't all that impatient at the moment, but if Sunstrike kept on with his playing and ignoring Lazenca like a spoiled child, then Laz was going to have to pull off his belt and show Sunny what for.

Sunstrike

PostPosted: Mon Jan 08, 2007 2:05 pm

The snowball....melted before it ever reached him.

Sunstrike just leaned back and looked in that direction, upside down. Creepy. Great, they'd followed him. He had actually hoped that the hint would have been taken.

"I don't know who you are or what you want...but you might as well sit back and enjoy the ride. I'm not going anywhere." Even if the lower half of his face was covered, the words came out as clear as day. And there was an underlying threat to both of them should they decide to get violent.

There was a splash as a wave crested the horizon, and another rumble as the island they were on jolted again.

Water began to stream in from the sides of the rapidly melting landmass, draining down the hole that Sunstrike had made in the earth.

He actually got up and dusted himself off, splashing through the water and backing away from that sorce.

Calmly, evenly.

"Three."

The...I can feel...the... plates shifting..! He was barely able to remain conscious and the fact that he was feeling the tetonic movements of the earth itself as it interfered with the magma flow several hundred thousand miles underground, worried him.

This wasn't just a simple act as changing the weather.

The entire island was beinn moved from one spot to another.

"That...guy..."

"..."

"..."

"I..."

"..."

"By the Daraku, you're going to make me fight you, aren't you?"

For the record, Lazenca didn't know what was going on. Sunstrike was all mental and didn't recognize him, Vahn was crazed, clouds were rushing past even as a hurricane remained frozen in the air... or something.. the world shook and the arctic shelf was melting and being drawn into the hole of emergence. The power...

"Are you doing this? What... are you doing?" Laz had half a mind to just... leave. If it wasn't for the world melting, then he would've done just that, and come back after dropping Vahn off.

"Oh, uh. Who stiched your face up like that?" Blame his being wierded out and confused as hell as the reason he didn't pick up a glaring detail like a completely changed appearance.

So he sighed. Couldn't just... stand there and let Sun continue to move the whole island. It was a nice cold refuge, not to mention the fact the guy was about to destroy a whoe ecosystem and all.

"Man, seriously, last chance. Getting hungry and annoyed with all this stalling."
PostPosted: Thu Jan 11, 2007 5:30 am

Sunstrike blinked.

"I'm making a garden, it'll be really nice once it's done. Don't look so worried! Who are you in any case? Should I know you?"

The place trembled again as doubt began to cross the crazed rainbow of colours that made up Sunstrike's inner eye. It wasn't right, all that build up of magic was doing him some unknown damage. Flashes of colour began to crack through his skin before sealing itself again.

He knew this person...the way the lupine talked to him...that was familiarity. He bristled for a second.

"Don't presume you can tell me what the hell to do with myself just because you think you know me. I'll do what I want, thank you very much."

And almost as an afterthought.

"Two."

"Lazenca... what the heck's wrong with you two?"

The thought barely crossed his mind that the world was actually moving. The constant quakes, the passing clouds... it's the kind of things you read about. He knew of it actually happening once- such an act, a terra displacement, helped create his homeland. It was monitored, it was sanctioned... things in place to make sure the world didn't go topsy-turvy. But whatever Sunstrike was doing, was making the entire place warm. It could rightfully be a spring garden in a little time... but it's not supposed to be like that.

He noted the countdown. What was to come at its end? Well... he was probably going to find out wether he wanted to or not. But for the record, he didn't want to know.

"You wanna make a garden out of a continent... do it on another damn planet, then!" He pushed Sunstrike in the chest, aiming to knock him over. "I like it cold up here; I'm not letting you screw it up."
