Best quote ever, especially after a horrible day at work:My Little Brother You did not tell me that 300 was a bunch of Calvin Klein models fighting ninjas led by a transvestite. At least he didn't say he hated it. whee

Got my hands on Hot Fuzz. Little bit of trivia: the scenes at the pub were filmed at the Royal Standard in Beaconsfield, England. It's the oldest pub in the British Ilses at over 800 years old. Watch you head going in, and make sure to check out the stained glass in there. It's from churches that had their windows blown out during World War II. So, how do I know this? My best friend tended bar there years ago and it served as the setting of his novel. Beaconsfield by Matthew Baise. Look for a character named Marty in chapter 2 or 3. I editted that book sauced out of my skull on Jack Daniels during a nasty winter years ago.
It's amazing how some things can trigger certain memories.

So Lara Croft went and got herself a web-cartoon. It's aptly named "ReVisioned: Tomb Raider Animated Series".
Then she went out and got some artists for their interpretation of her. Like Jim Lee, Peter Chung, Ivan Reis, Cully Hammer, David Alvarez, Louie Del Carmen, and Six Point Harness.
Of course, what's an animated feature with out writing? That's being handled by the aforementioned Peter Chung and Jim Lee, as well as other writers Brian Pulido, Warren Ellis, Gail Simone, Michael A. Stackpole, and Christos N. Gage.
8 of the 10 episodes are out, and they're pretty good.

I just finished watching the new Marvel animated Dr. Strange movie. I thought it was excellent. Much more enjoyable than either of the Avengers movies or the Iron Man, which I thought was mediocre at best.

Chris Powell I just finished watching the new Marvel animated Dr. Strange movie. I thought it was excellent. Much more enjoyable than either of the Avengers movies or the Iron Man, which I thought was mediocre at best. I agree that the Strange movie is the best so far. But I enjoyed the first Avengers movie. I thought it was pretty good!

The first Avengers was good. The second less so...I just think the Strange movie blows the earlier ones away. Especially the Iron Man movie.

Another thing...in the scenes showing Strange visiting specialists...the Australian doctor appears to be blondish and using a walking stick. Another Donald Blake reference...could Thor be the next animated Marvel movie?
