Heh, I play flute, and thats all I play, and being a guy I'm trying to switch to something more appropriate you kno? ^^ I've been playing flute for 4 years and I'm 3rd chair out of 6 in the Lower Band (im still the best freshman)
I'm hoping to switch to French Horn and eventually Mellophone to play in the LSU Tiger Marching Band ^^
I find sightreading incredibly easy, group sightreading gets me b/cuz the ppl around me mess me up by playing wrong O.o

Miangel Yeah, basically. XD I seem to have escaped just in time. One of the girls went all "flute-nazi" and now there's a bunch of drama erupting. Dear lord. It's CRAZY. I feel kind of bad because it's partially my fault... now that I'm gone they're leaderless. >> But... tenor-guy seems happy that I'm now in the sax section. Well, happy for him, anyway. He was picking on me all day yesterday. XP lol, i think he likes you xD

Do you know if there's a good place where you can send in your flute and get cool designes engraved in the keys? I want to do that...Do you know about how much it would cost?

But if there is someone else born in 1991, then they're probably younger than you since you were born in Jan =D Man. Flutes are just so awesome. xDD It's a pain to keep em' level to the ground though. At least for me xDDD.

My school offered band in the 6th grade when i was 12, but I know that some other schools start as early as 4th grade. =D

Funny-bunny13 Second.They give it to us in 5th.This other place starts it at 3rd.They are really big on music not so much on sports like we are.My mom has talked to parents from that school when we go to compaitions cuz my bro.Today we have one at our high school. 3nodding i wanna go to a competition x_x we performed at a grade school instead.

Yay for flutes! Everyone always says they hate the flute section cuz when we have to be quiet, we're too loud. When we have to be loud, we're too quiet. Maybe it's because the stupid trombones and trumpets are TOO FREAKIN' LOUD!! Jeez! We're the second largest section in marching band and you can't even hear us because of the damn trumpets!

Lol.I know how you feel.The BD wants you to be loud but then the trumpets are like behind you and they are playing and the drums have to pretty loud then its like forget you.I not playing any louder then I already am.
