Autumn Greenleaf I have just one trumpet But i also have a cornet does anyone else have female trumpets in their band we have 4 other than me Besides me there's I think two other girlz. But.. they're in the lowest band. Me and my friend Diana are the only two girl brass players in the high band. --- Alright guys I need your help. I've kind of made it my goal to make first chair my sophomore (next) year. I'm tired of being behind players that are, quite frankly, worse than me or equal to me. I need you guys to recommend method books that will help my agility and sight-reading. I've got a decent high range, up to a D above a high G, but my fingers are very slow. Oh, and I already have Arban's Complete and the Wurm 40 studies book. thanks in advance to anyone that helps me out. <3

Yeah... I feel a bit misplaced, considering clarinet is my most active instrument. But, this year I have both received a trumpet, whom I named Yoru, and began taking lessons. >.> Yeah, I'm probably going to get chased out of the thread for being more of a woodwind than trumpet. ::Cowers in corner, huggling Yoru, Sophie, and Vincent.::

Wow, I haven't been in here in forever....
My BD nearly strangled me last week. I informed him that I was getting braces either next month or over the summer. I'm gonna be the only senior trumpet next year too. He kept saying, 'No, you don't need braces, you're teeth or fine.' I thought he was gonna have a heart attack...Poor Mr. D. sweatdrop sad

Yeah...but it's gonna limit my range for a while....although my range is only to high C...on a good day...Man I'm gonna miss 1st part cry
My friend was like first chair and he got braces, now he's last chair because sometimes he can't even get above middle C. He's getting used to 'em though. I know he's gonna laugh at me when I get them. lol

Does anybody know of Getzen? At least, I think that's the brand. I'm just learning right now, but I'm getting better. I do have braces, though. I'm getting them off soon, so I'll be able to play better.
