"Moi? I didn't say a word," Phobius noted, kissing her on the cheek before following her.
Harry similarly took the opportunity to let Hedwig out; add in Confusa appearing from the shadows to hop in Hermione's lap, and they had quite the menagerie.

Harry nodded smiling as Diego let out a hiss of contented thanks and draped himself around his wizard's shoulders. Idly, Harry couldn't help but feel that the cabin was definitely starting to get rather full of animals - Hagrid would probably love it.
Phobius, meanwhile, settled in with a book, though he did snuggle Hermione right back. He wasn't overly obvious about it, of course - he couldn't have any casual passersby thinking he was cuddly, after all - but it was there if you knew what to look for.

Harry smiled to his girlfriend, similarly stroking Diego. "I'd like that," he agreed enthusiastically... well, enthusiastically for a quiet guy like him, anyway.
"No, he seems to have a bit of a saving-people thing - for example, jumping onto a troll's back or nearly splattering himself all over the castle walls to save someone else's trinket," Phobius disagreed with a small smirk; he was no doubt going to hold those particular incidents over his friend's head for a long time. "My guess is he'll become a part-time Auror... though yes, Katherine will likely be the one who wears the pants, as you so colorfully put it."

Harry considered the question a moment. "Well, I'd appreciate it if you helped me look over my Charms homework," he admitted sheepishly.
"True, but he's no doubt going to become desensitized to the limelight eventually. Even if he doesn't, I'll eventually be teaching him not to care about what the sheeple think," was Phobius's bland reply. "As for Mitis: judging from the feeling I'm getting of someone doing an ongoing can-can on my grave mixed with the sudden urge to laugh maniacally... my guess is he's plotting something that will simultaneously be to a certain old coot's detriment and give us a massive headache."
Sure enough, in Dumbledore's office, a fiery figure appeared, being careful not to burn anything by accident - plenty of time for that later. It looked around to make sure Dumbles wasn't home, then looked over at the sorting hat, putting a finger over its mouth, before covering Fawkes in flames. When the flames vanished, what was there was no longer a phoenix, but an egg. The fiery figure then vanished with the egg, leaving no sign that it had been there beyond a slightly scorched perch.

(He's a crazy, teleporting pyromaniac, Fawkes is a bird that periodically bursts into flame. Why wouldn't he steal Fawkes? xd )

Harry blushed slightly, smiling as he pulled out the charms homework to look it over with her.
"Yes, but don't worry, this much is normal. It's usually when you have a sudden urge to hit the deck that you really need to start worrying," Phobius noted calmly.

Harry nodded in understanding. "Right... need to remember that," he mumbled to himself.
Phobius opened his mouth to correct her on Mitis being his cousin, but realized that he did, in fact, fill the role of a cousin, even if he wasn't one by blood. Granted, it was the role of that one eccentric cousin who was amusing on a personal basis but that you always dread to bring out in public, but still. Instead, he simply said, "Yes, the results of his plots can be rather interesting. Merlin and Morgana help us all when he becomes interested in a girl and starts plotting on how to get her attention." Knowing Mitis, he would probably take tips from animals and humans alike and give them their own unique flair - slaying various dangerous beasts and bringing the carcasses to the girl's front porch in attempts to impress her, serenading her with ridiculous songs of his own making, setting rival suitors on fire... and that was the less drastic actions he could foresee.
Elsewhere, Mitis paused in tending to his new egg. "Mitis feel disturbance in the Crazy... as if someone made a thousand accurate predictions about Mitis future behaviorses. UNACCEPTABLE! Mitis must become MORE unpredictable! MORE crazy! VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!!" And throughout Britain and the Glade of Nature, thousands, if not millions of people, animals, and other assorted organisms felt a shiver run up their spines (even those that didn't have spines), and those in the know began either cursing or weeping over the inevitable loss of their remaining sanity. The egg, on the other hand, just wondered whether this lunatic was REALLY a better choice than its last master.
Back at the Hogwarts express, Phobius paused, head tilting upward slightly as if looking into the distance. "Strange... I suddenly have the distinct feeling that I just created a monster, albeit indirectly..." he murmured. "...Well, if I stumble across it, I can always just sic it on the old coot."

(Gotcha. Poor sap.)

Harry blinked, once again looking rather adorably baffled at both the question and the subject change. "Of course I did; why wouldn't I?" he answered earnestly.
Phobius snapped out of it and nodded. "True; he does give off a similar vibe to that one eccentric cousin most people have but prefer not to talk about," he noted, as brutally candid as ever.

"Of course you are," Harry assured Katherine with a small smile, leaning over to kiss her on the cheek.
"Oh, certainly," Phobius allowed, "but that doesn't change the fact that he's a complete and utter madman with a giant mallet - a megalomaniac with a thing for arson, to be exact. Or a pyromaniac with plans of world domination - I suppose it depends on which trait is more prominent at the time."
