((Completely understand, you know you can stop if you want. I am off this week thanks to the thanksgiving break, so I will be back on later anyway.))
(8 - 5 + 8 - 10 = 1dmgx 0 = 0dmg)
Though a poison type attack would find no usefulness against the steel bird. As the stings would quite simply bounce off and land in a pile by his feet. It was a moment in which the pokemon's eyes were narrowed ...she wasn't going to simply be swept to the side just because she was is a Poison type ....as she ready herself for the next attack.
Her stringer pose for the next attack of her opponent as she stood on the defenisve

Ryuu managed to avoid the Astonish attack though it was a very close miss. The Larvitar looked at his opponent unsure on where to attack. It looked like it was made from sturdy rock or something. Unsure what it would be like to Bite on a rock, he lunged forward anyway aiming to Bite his opponent!

Vanni is at 3/5 2/5 HP!
If Vanni had been able to hear the Cranidos's thoughts, she would have gladly informed him that she had a tendency to remain alive despite the best efforts of others. She was more interested in running for her life, though. And run she did, her speed augmented by adrenaline and fear. There were two Pokemon relying on her, one that she'd already failed, not to mention her mission. She couldn't stop running- she wouldn't.
And eventually, she escaped. Stumbled to a halted, she crashed into a tree, hanging unto one of it's sturdy lower branches. Her entire torso felt like a bruised fruit and breathing was it's own mess of problems. Still shivering, she released Phoebe.
/What the hell happened to you?!/ The Nidoran was squeaking furiously, her red eyes alight with fire. She wasn't mad at the girl- well, she was a bit mad, but the sight of her bruised body was enough to knock all thoughts of that out of her head.
"We've good news and bad news!" Vanni said as cheerfully as she could manage. "The good news is that no one is dead!" She leaned back against the tree, panting heavily. (and wincing every time she did). "The bad news... my idiocy got Bellona knocked out hard, I think I've cracked a rib or two, and I have no idea where we are." It was clear she was trying not to breath too much, despite how strapped for air she felt. "So... you're going to stick around with me out here, okay?"
Phoebe lightly nuzzled her ankle. Though she wasn't big enough to fully support the girl (she briefly fantasized about being a Nidoqueen capable of stomping on everything in the forest), she'd do whatever she could to help. So limping girl and protective rabbit stumbled blindly into the forest.

As long as she made sure to breathe carefully, Vanni found she could keep walking at a steady pace. Each time she took too deep a lungful of air, she found herself doubled over in pain, so she attempted to avoid doing that. She leaned against her sturdy parasol, more out of a mental block than actual need. Phoebe had taken the lead, trying to find a way back to the path that didn't involve an angry Cranidos.

Well, it seemed they were totally and utterly lost. Phoebe had been in her Pokeball when Vanni ran, and the girlhad been too focused on running to notice any sort of landmarks. All the trees look the same to her, anyway. Huge, ancient, rocklike, immortal trees!- and those trees surrounded them as far as the eye could see. No actual rocks, no rivers, no clearing. It was a maudlin and monontnous, though Vanni would take that over being assaulted any day. Still, she wished she had some idea where she was going... and whether or not it would bring her to the Amber.

Everything seemed curiously silent. Even the voice in her head, Vanni's constant companion was remarkable quiet, as though the shock of being attacked had forced it into hiding. Not that she could blame the little voice. It would be easier to go away, but that wasn't Vanni's job. Her's was to keep going, even if she had no clue where to go. And as she walked, she felt like she was getting further and further into the darkness.

Vanni wondered how far this forest stretched. Was it like the previous forest, where time and space felt as though it was suspended? This island did seem to have a supernatural or preternatural tint to it. Is that why the teachers sent them there? Maybe that's why Amber from this particular place was needed. Or maybe she was over-thinking this all. She flinched a little, making Phoebe "mrr?" with worry. The pain was making her a little twitchy.

Was this period of peace only the quiet before the storm? Vanni couldn't help being a little nervous, though a superstitious part of her mind was worried that would jinx her stretch of good luck. Still, there was nothing else to do but keeping walking.

((Perhaps not, but I still have work today lass. Though this time it's Night-Shift.))Spreading his metallic wings, the Skarmory gave them a single hard flap as he hopped backward to increase the distance. Yes, the Poison Sting had indeed been quite useless against his steel body; but the fight was hardly won from that fact alone.
Spreading his stance slightly, the Skarmory lifted his beak into the air, allowing it to glint in the sunlight. A visual warning before the verbal ">En garde!<" Crowe called, stomping his right foot against the rocky ground to to produce a sharp metallic clang. An appel; a simple distraction, but often effective against a less focused opponent.
This action was however, not accompanied closely by a lunge as one would expect from any sort of distraction in a battle. Rather, Crowe simply repositioned himself, casting an intimidating sideways glance at his adversary. His eyes almost seemed to glow as he starred at the Skorupi, using Leer.

That leer would never reach her eyes as she noticed that the bird had showed en garde ...that was a challenge to battle. A challenge to fight, and with that in mind ...she wasn't about to let it simply slide by her. She rushed forward as each leg would kick up its on dirt as she drew her claws together as they seemed to grow in length and strength ...as they glowed white before going dark. The power of darkness was curling in each of those claws as she prepared herself to literally slash through her opponent in a single blow.
A fast shift forward she came at Skarmory with a Night Slash.
She would declares as she charges at the Skarmory.

Horsea HP: 7
The Horsea's eyes practically bulged as he took the Emolga's next hit. Not from pain or surprise; but from fury. Driven upward through the water by the strength of his opponent's attack, the Horsea was launched toward the surface and forced to breach.
">NONONO! YOU GO NOT ME!!!<" He screamed as his fins flapped fitfully. With the Pokemon's high pitched voice, the tantrum would have been cute if it wasn't so irritating.
Again as the Horsea flailed about, though this time in mid-air, his eyes turned a bright gleaming red, the colour quickly spreading to the rest of his body in Outrage. Flipping about as he sailed through the air, the Horsea shifted his weight and began to plunge back towards the water. He was like a missile, or more accurately a torpedo out of it's element; and if he managed to hit, Aella would likely be forced back into the briny deep!

An odd thing for a Larvitar to be concerned about biting a rock, especially considering their diet. The little terrors were known for consuming entire mountains through the course of their earliest stage...and leveling them in their final. Of course such thoughts didn't occur to the Golurk; simply the Lunatone watching through it's eyes and those facing it.
Contrary to his elaborate attack, the Golurk's defense was quite simple. He simply stood there, absolutely and completely still.

Though that was another counter-attack at that point. The pokemon's idea was sound, but the sheer wish to attack then would weaken him further ....as he would fail to notice that he wasn't the only one to surface as Aella breached the surface after him. Her body though couldn't get the lift she needed as she simply floated on the surface watching the falling Horsea coming towards her. This was her chance to attack and finish this, but this was also a counter-attack and what Victoria wanted was this pokemon alive not dead.
The girl smirked lightly with her floating in the water as well ....as she would unclip the pokeball and as the Horsea reached the apex of his rise in the air ...she would throw the pokeball.
If she was lucky, this would be a capture and if she failed ...well she would have no other choice than to kill this pokemon. There was nothing but hope for the future with this throw.

"Oh my"
Ada looked over at Impromptu, "We seem to have disturbed..." "> yeah, way to point out the obvious <" he looked at the Kabuto, still clinging to the stick. "> Its ugly. I'm not fighting it <"
Ada glared at him. "Who says it was your turn?" she reached for the normal colored pokeball on her hat, throwing it at the ground. It burst open, releasing a Scraggy before bouncing back to her hand. Yup, good aim, she still had it. Years of sports with your older brother payed off eventually.
Carmine looked at Ada, a cross look on his face. She...she got him! He was nothing now but a pet, a mere plaything for her like that idiot dog! No, he refused to accept her as a master, and if he was being called to a fight it would be his own and not hers. He was taking the Kabuto into his own hands now, he was calling the shots!
The Scraggy took out a flute as dark as the night sky, inky black with a sort of charm to it, and raised it to his lips. He then began to play a melody so sweet to the ears it could make your heart melt, yet make it freeze too as it held a sort of chilling tone to it. So chilling it could strike fear, and he could hear the shifting of Pokemon around leaving already.
Good. Leave. Leave to two of them in their own duet, that was exactly what he wanted.
Once he finished he put the flute back in the folds of his pants. If the Kabuto had listened, he would know it was a battle tune, the Scraggys way of saying he accepted the challenge...as he put one hand out in front of him and one at his side in a defensive pose as he waited for the Kabuto to strike.

Though that was a very artsy was of entering into the battle field ....as the music would flow as he made that call to arms. The Kabuto is the sort of creature that understood whether it was music or any other way the acceptances of a challenge. He click his mandibles together in thought of what he would do. But, that battle song of music would be answered by something completely different...not a torrent of song but simply a quick movement as the Kabuto would drive both of it's points into the earth.
"Ka ...bu...to."
((You ...are ...a ...showoff))
The pokemon would declares rudely as the earth underneath the Scraggy would turn dark as the earth seemed to glow with power. It was his way of sending his opponent literally flying.
