C.J. smiled back and looked at one of the posters on a passenger car not too far behind. Leona the Great
Fortunes told, elephants ri- The rest of the sign was torn away. Frank came over to C.J. and Misty as the elephant wrapped her trunk around Misty protectively. "Hey, Frankie! What happened to Leona?" C.J. asked as Frank shrugged. "I dunno, ese, I heard she's taking the next few shows off for maternity leave. She didn't wanna ride the elephant in today's parade . . . hell, she could have her kid any day now!" Frank replied as C.J. nodded. A perfect lightbulb moment! He looked back at Misty and kissed her cheek. "I think we found our way to get past what's-his-name, darlin'!" C.J. replied.

Misty smiled at CJ. "Really? So what's the plan?"

C.J. smirked a little between Frank and Misty. "Depends, really. Wanna be an elephant-riding fortune teller for about forty-five minutes, darlin'?" he asked . . . now this would be the perfect way to get the duo back into Gotham undetected . . . and then back out before there was an issue! What could POSSIBLY go wro-!!!
*has wrapped duct tape around the writer's mouth* "NO!! I'm genre savvy enough to realize this is a bad idea!"
Mmmph! Mmmph! (Get this stupid duct tape off me you chowder-head!)

Misty's smile grew. "Well, I don't know about fortune telling, but I think I could pull off elephant-riding. What do you think girl?" she replied as she looked up at Delores. She could... probably pull off the other bit. Scarlet had an intereste in tarot cards... she remembered how to do those at least.

C.J. smiled back as Delores trumpeted happily. Nodding towards Frank, the Maryland boy kissed Misty.
"Relax, babe. Most of her fortune-tellin' stuff is parlor tricks anyhow. I think she may have something for you!" C.J. said before looking at Frank. "Don't parade 'em out 'til we get back, Frankie!" he said as Frank nodded.
"Hey, man, no worries! Just be careful about Leona's stuff, mang." Frank said before they went down to the railroad car that had the poster. Helping Misty up on the front vestibule, he knocked on the door.
"Hey, Leona? Got a minute?" C.J. asked.

Misty followed after CJ, a lopsided little grin on her face. After everything that had happened the past night... heck, the past few months... being in a circus was the last thing she would have imagined doing.
As they got up to the door, Misty stood next to CJ and just waited quietly.

"Just a minuuuute!" the voice replied from the other side of the door. A quick shuffling later, the door flew open, revealing what looked like a very pregnant fortune teller, in full Gypsy regalia.
"So sorry I'm late, it appears as i- oh, hi, C.J.! Who's ya friend?" she asked, her Gypsy "accent" reverted back to a slight hint of New Yorker. It was clear that she DID have Romanian blood, but was NOT from Romania.
"Hey, Leona, this is Misty. Misty, this is Leona. Mind if'n I ask a favor from ya?" he asked.

Misty smiled and nodded politely. "Hello." she greeted. Her eyes fell onto the woman's baby bump, and her hand instinctively moved to her own. Granted... Misty's bump wasn't quite that large, and under the jacket and utterly baggy jeans she was wearing, it was fairly unnoticeable that she was even pregnant. But it was still an instinctive motion. She probably SHOULD be as large as the other woman... would give the little ones more room to themselves anyway. Next time she'd just have to *not* freak out and have Warp spell her to hide it.

C.J. smiled as Leona raised her brow. "It's very nice to meet you, Misty! Uhh, sure. Whaddaya need?" she asked C.J. before he came up and whispered the situation in Leona's ear. "Pregnancy", "Mafia", "Savage" and "Cops" all popped up in his explanation. Leona nodded and smiled at Misty.
"C'mon in, Misty. I think we have just the thing inside." Leona said, guiding her into the lavish-looking interior of the car. Sensing something was going on, he slipped down the stairs and leaned against the train. Leona was kinda funny about more than one guest at a time.

Misty smiled awkwardly at CJ as she followed Leona inside the cart, leaving CJ outside. Once inside, she looked around and smiled a bit to herself. "Wow, this is quite a nice cart you have." she said, stopping not far from the door. She didn't want to be in the way, and she didn't want to bump anything over while the woman did as she needed.

[Enter Lady Deathstrike from Surrounding Area of New York]
Teleporting into an alleyway within sight of where the circus was camped, Lady Deathstrike strode out from the alleyway almost running into a railroad cop, "Hey! Whatchu don' here?"
Yuriko blinked in surprise backing up into the dark alley again, "I'm sorry..." Meanwhile, the cyborg assassin used her transmitting abilities to jam the cop's radio. When the squelch blared from his walkie-talkie, the cop looked down in surprise, "What the..."
Deathstrike swiftly used a panther punch on the man's throat, followed by a quick grapple around his neck. A sickening crack followed, as Yuriko snapped the man's neck. After laying the dead cop on the ground, Yuriko stripped off his uniform, putting it on over her costume. Then, the assassin saw an barrel of oil waste, opened it, and slipped the body inside.
After the barrel was refastened, the 'railcop' strode out from the alley as if she belonged there. Coolly scanning the performers preparing to enter Gotham, Yuriko used her photo recognition to scan the people she saw. Within a minute, fortune smiled on the assassin, as she locked onto Benoit escorting Misty into a gypsy's cart. Yuriko kept her face absolutely neutral, I see you.....

Unaware of the railroad cop being dispatched, C.J. was kinda taking it cool until he saw the woman out of the alley. Now where have I seen her before? he thought, scratching his head. Usually the cop here was an elderly fellow named Lou. Thinking it was just Lou's day off, he looked before realizing just who it was.
"WARNING! WARNING! DANGER WILL ROBINSON! TIME TO GTF- hey, wait, what's that?!"
Of course, little did she know that there was an express freight coming onto the siding near where she was, that had just slowed down to Yard Speed.
Meanwhile, Leona smiled. "Thanks, but it's nothing, really. My grandfather ran an antiques store." she said with an understanding smile. "I heard from C.J. you needed to get into Gotham incognito? I think I have just the thing. Looks like you aren't that far along pregnancy wise." she said and opened a lavish looking wardrobe. "Try a few on and let's see what you think! My husband Bruno's going to pick me up after the parade into town." she offered.
Meanwhile, C.J. checked his watch and the orders on his phone. "Huh, wasn't expecting that train so early." he thought out loud . . . then realized that "officer" was standing in the way of that train . . . and it wasn't about to stop in time! He bolted towards the officer.
"HEY! CLEAR THE TRACKS, OFFICER!!" he shouted. He had to bolt down the train, past an oil tanker car and on his way over to the "cop". The train horn blowing loudly as it passed a crossing.

Misty smiled and slid her fingers over a few of the colorful outfits. "Yeah... otherwise I'm pretty much confined into hiding all day. I don't want CJ to miss anything... not on my account. He's done so much for me already." she said, then pulled out a long, loose-looking purple dress. "Does your husband work here too?" she asked, trying to make a bit of conversation as she pulled out a few accessories to add onto the dress. Yellow and deep red fabric should work to layer the dress and make it look more 'gypsy'. As... well as hid her baby bump. She'd worry about veils and head bands and such after trying on an outfit.

What the.. does he... know..., Yuriko's thoughts started until the train's horn interrupted those thoughts. The assassin's head snapped around and her eyes widened at the sight of the locomotive on it's way to run her over.
Using her honed reflexes, Yuriko Oyama dove out of the way of the oncoming train... right into C.J.'s arms. The force of the blow knocks both of them over onto the ground. Yuriko's eyes still wide open in shock, as she quickly tries to get back up -- 'shyly' sliding her cap down to hide a bit of embarrassment.

Leona nodded. "He's a good guy, Misty. Him and Dun' keep this train rolling, more or less." she said, watching her go through all the outfits. "He's our strongman, Big Boy Bruno. He can lift a truck over his head!" she said with a smile as she watched her try on the outfits.
Meanwhile, C.J. looked at the "cop" as he helped her up. She looked VERY familiar. "Look, I know it's a little desensitizing working around trains, but trust me officer . . . you shoulda kept your last job as a nurse. You alright?" he said with a coy smirk.
