Cale convulsed and spasmed as the stun bolt hit him and he collapsed to the deck, his magnet boots holding him from falling off.
Somewhere, in his subconcious, he started hearing a song...

The Hunter holstered his weapons and collapsed his wirst knife, then went over to check the outlaw.
His vitals seemed alright. The Barve had cost him quite a bit as it was.
Now the trick was leaving with him.
He tapped his helmit experimentaly and fond to his delight that, while the HUD still was out, several other features of his mask worked juts fine. He checked the location of his ship and saw it was coming close.
He just hoped the Runner's Crew didn't shoot it down before it got there.

Rain emerged on the deck, clad in her Beskar with a pair of sheathed vibrocutlasses at her hips.
Her tabard flapped in the air as she stepped off the topside elevator onto the dorsal hull of the ship, her magna boots gripping the metal plating.
"You will be leaving now Solms. Without the Captain."
At this she drew both blades simoultaneously and crossed them before her.

Solms turned to look at the woman.
"Sorry, Starwind. The Captain comes with me. Though I could certainly use another notch to my belt. And after Novara's annoyng betrayal, I'm itching to crack the skull of a Mando."
He reached into his pack and drew a long handle. The ends of the handle telescoped out, creating a durable stave.
The Hunter twirled the metallic quarterstaff and motioned the woman forward.

Rain swept her blades out and chargred. she suddenly spun, her tabard sweeping out as she twirled, and sliced at the hunter's chest with both of her blades before sliding to the right and jabbing with her left cutlass.

The woman had skills. Solms was impressed.
The Hunter steped back out of her arc as she sliced into him, her blades tracing sparks off his chest plate. as she stabbed at him he brought in his staff and knocked her cutlass off its path. He adjusted his grip and brought the end of the stave down on her head.

Rain took the blow as it struck her helm.
It jarred her, but she kept her head and struck at the stave with one blade, knocking it away. she stabbed again with her free cutlass, aiming for under his shoulder plate.

Using the force of Rain's attack against his staff, the hunter supun the weapon around him and struck her next attack off course as well, the blade skiping across his shoulder plate. He snapped the staff's tip up and brought it to smash into the side of her helm.

Rain snatched her blade up and parried the attack. She nimbly darted back and suddenly rotated her wrist.
"Suprise."
A blaster bolt shot out from her gaunlet straight for the bounty hunter.

((Damn armor weapons.))
The suprised hunter caught the blast in the chest and it knocked him back.
His armor held however, the low yield blast charring his chestplate but not piercing through.
Today was not a good day however.
He had tracked and pursued a dangerous outlaw across town, survived a grenade, and was now facing off against a skilled and cunning bodyguard.
There were times when he needed to cut his losses.
"Heh. Very well then. The Captain is yours for now. But I will get him sooner or later. Its only a matter of time."
With that he collapsed his stave and dropped it into the whole he made in the hull of the Auric Runner. He then turned and lept off the side of the ship, landing on the nose of the Lost Runner as it kept pace with the outlaw ship. It pulled away, letting the Auric Runner keep going.
with a smirk, the hunter tapped a button on the back of his gauntlet, setting off the bomb inside the collapsed stave.

Rain watched the man go and went for the unconcious Cale. She picked him up and hauled him to the elevator when there was a sudden small explosion. Rain looked back and saw a trail of smoke leaking out of the maintenance panel the hunter had blown open.
"Cambot, whats our status?!"
"Minor damage. Our armored friend isnt too familiar with this model ship aparently. Had this been a light freighter, it might have knocked out one of our sub systems. Now get inside so we can finally get out of here. I'm tired of people getting their grimy boot prints all over my hull!"
Rain shook her head and climbed back inside the ship. she untied Cale and dropped him off in his suit before buckling in as Cambot piloted the Auric Runner out of Brentaal space.
The Feds had no hope of catching her once she made the leap for Skull Base.

The Hunter, still clad in his broken and scarred armor, maneuvered his ship into orbit and prepared to jump to lightspeed.
There was no point in going after the Runner and her crew.
Cale was unreachable for now.
Besides, he had many repairs to make. He set the coordinates for Ord Mantell, his home, and hit the big L, very pleased his employer paid in advance.

Cale bolted up from his bed and found himself in his quarters aboard the Auric Runner. He looked about confused for a moment before he realized where he was. He touched his face and felt a bruise, a souvenier from his bounty hunter admirer.
"Sithspit. That sucked." he muttered.
"Yeah it did." Rain answered him from the doorway. She was out of armor, clad in her usual clothes and looking disaprovingly at Cale.
"You got your a** kicked. I think this Pirate life of yours has made you soft. Honestly, thats the second time I had to save your choobies."
"My unborn children apreciate it."
"Funny. Captain you need some combat practice."
Cale stood up from his bed and looked at her angrily. "Like Hell I do! I had that barve down for the count! how was I supposed to know he'd survive and attempt a wacko counter boarding?!"
"You badly misjudged him." She said. "besides, If I hadn't shown up, you'd be having this discussion in a cell with him safely out of reach. When we get back to base, I'm gonna see if I can't convince Rak to help me beat you back into shape."
"Like hell you will! I'm still the damn Captain around here!"
"And I need to get you back for that little nose art incident. So zip it." Rain turned and went back to her buisness, leaving Cale alone.
The Outlaw snarled a curse and fell back into bed. "Well, can't say I'm shocked. But she's right to a point. I did kind of underestimate that barve." He looked up to the ceiling and tried to puzzle out why he dreamed of the past yet again.
