"You? Hmm. I dunno. Usually it's the other way around." He said feeling a little better as he neared the ground. He winked teasingly as he came closer still. Feeling himself lower, he anticipated the feeling of the ground touching his feet. As he expected, it felt odd after being in the air for the flight. Hyunn had to stretch out for a moment letting his feel get used to the feeling of solid ground once more. He wondered if it would be like that every time he took flight with Vira. He would probably become used to it after a few more trips to the sky. "Yeah, thanks." he said smiling.
Watching her walk off, Hyunn stayed still for another few moments trying to let his brain comprehend that he was now on the ground. When he finally took a step, it felt odd to feel the roof beneath his feet. Eventually, he managed to make his way over to Vira and glanced out over the rooftop to see a few people. He'd caught the sound of her sigh and wondered why she'd done so. Better to ask then not. Maybe it was just out of habit. "Something on your mind?" Hyunn asked, coming up next to her.

It wasn't really a matter of having a hobby or not. Even just an activity or two could be good for a person. Then again for Ranka just the whole reacreation area was new. Seiji couldn't imagine having to always be doing something. She was very suited for the job she handled. It made him feel a little lazy from his day to day basis. Even if it was new to her, Seiji hoped that she was having some sort of fun. It would have to be something that she would learn gradually. Intergrate into herself, if she could.
"Well, you don't have to find something necessarily. Maybe when you learn and understand the whole concept better it would be easier for you. Not everyone is going to like the same thing." He smiled as he walked alongside her. Whatever she was thinking about, he hoped it wouldn't bother her too much. He was feeling a little better, lighter on his feet. He glanced around for a moment, then back to her. "Like the plants. Do you like the roses? You seemed interested in them earlier." It might make talking a little easier with a topic like that, least he hoped so. His smile widened, hoping to lift the mood to something easier to talk about.

(( I'm not ignoring you Shiny. I'm just not sure what to write. Damned writers block hit me hard for Estelle. :/ )) Vira pouted a bit, puffing out her cheeks resisting the urge to stick her hands on her hips indignantly. Ah well, she ended up chuckling at how unsteady he seemed. "No problem." She smiled, glancing back to him. It was funny to watch someone seem so unsure on their feet. It wasn't like the ground had changed too much. Just a roof. Still solid, still there. Maybe it was just because she was used to it. She never had such disorientation between the two.
Looking up to him, she shrugged a little, binding one of the braids with a ribbon or water that formed a butterfly ice piece at the tip. "I dunno. I was just thinking that I felt like a mom watching her kid walk for the first time when I helped you land on the roof. I've never known who my parents were and I've never really had a family. Or at least, one in the sense of mom, dad, siblings... Only family I knew was a bunch of runaway kids like me in a run down theater in a big city. My first real home. Not that orphanage. No no, not at all." She shook her head, rambling a bit, clearing her throat nervously, staring pointedly down at the ground. She almost seemed like she had a few screws loose, or at least similar to such people, though she hoped she didn't. She couldn't deny that she wasn't perfectly fine though.

She didn't? It almost seemed like she should if she really wanted to fit in more here at Estelle. At the very least among these living creatures that she and her sister tended to. "I understand definitions, and most concepts. It is simply a matter of seeing if it is possible for me to find such passions for something. I am not structured like you and my sister." She murmured, the warmth of his skin only reminding her of that fact. She felt the discomfort again, knowing it was due to her ignorance and just how different she was. Was this really going to work?
You are being illogical. It is working for the moment. She reminded herself, his example distracting her which was a welcomed thing. She glanced down to the roses at her left, not quite sure how she felt about them. "My former life.... she liked them. She was often given them as a present. I do not know how I feel about them. I suppose.... they are lovely." She answered, a little hesitant when it came to what she thought. She knew how the lingering feelings of her former felt about them, it was easy to get such feelings mixed up with her own.

Hmm..... that was an interesting thought. Tristan had never really questioned much about the academy. It was what saved him from living his life as a street rat forever. "It's possible. I never really thought about it." He murmured, blinking as the field came into view. Oh man.... He wished Vira could see it. She would love it. It was quiet, peaceful, beautiful. He could just see her singing here, dancing about with a smile on her lips. A real one, not the one she so easily brought up to hide behind.
It was almost a bit disorienting to go from such a scene to the road that led to the outlet, still surprised by what he saw. And he really had had no idea about this place before. He knew what he should expect but it was still shocking. He glanced about and whistled since he was impressed, stuffing his free hand in his pocket, glancing in some of the windows. Nothing immediately was screaming his name right then and there. Man, he hadn't gone shopping like this since..... His smile faltered a little, shrinking as a hint of sadness flickered across it. .... since before his parents had died. "Wow, really? Huh. I better be careful what I look at eh?" He chuckled, glancing at what had caught her eye. It was a lovely set of furniture. Looked expensive to him. Oi.
He finally found a thrift store that look promising, glancing inside. "If she does draw me in, I just hope it's cheap." He chuckled a bit, nodding his head to her before he went inside, taking a gander at what was around. Hmm.... yes, this was promising indeed. He already spotted a few shirts that looked good to him and pants, double-checking the sizes. A couple already wouldn't fit. Damn it. He had to forget what he used to be and focus on what he was now.

Elly smiled, glad to see that a thrift store not only statisfied his needs, but she was content with it too. If it ment saving money, she was in for it, and that store he entered just happened to be a place she shoped at, for clothing she wore outside of Estelle.
While Tristan browsed his sizes, Elly went to her own department and tried on some things. She tried on a green dress and some nice tops along with some plain ones too. She also picked out some cloth shorts and accerssories. It all came to under $20 which was definately a bargain and while she waited for Tristan to be done, she went out and bought two small twist icecreams, one for herself and one for Tristan. She met up with him and handed out his cone to him whilst licking her own. "You better eat it up before it gets cold," she told him and smiled again, the sweetness of the ice cream hitting the spot.

(( Hmm... that's odd. I hope it works out soon. )) It took him longer to find something that fit him now, but he did succeed eventually. Most of the clothes made him look more human, and well... technically he was one now right? I guess the right word would be "normal." He mused to himself, coming out with a couple of pairs of jeans and shorts, one black, one a dark blue. He also had a few t-shirts that were mostly darker colors, and some other things. All within his price range which was good.
Brushing his hair from his eyes, he found Elly rather easily since he could now sense the darkness from her so readily. He grinned as he saw the ice cream, taking a lick as he took it from her. "Thanks hon. Perfect thing for the moment methinks." He kissed her forehead, adjusting his grip on his bag, glancing to the shoe store. He probably should take a gander in there. For the moment though, he was content to devour his ice cream with her and stay outside. It was such a lovely day. Though... he sensed the charged electricity in the air again, sighing lightly. "I think it'll storm tomorrow...." He murmured softly, looking up to the sky that seemed so clear and calm.

Elly giggled when Tristan kissed her forehead for it tickled a bit. She even looked up at the sky when he told her it was going to storm tomorrow. Boy, she really didn't like rainy weather. It tampered with her spirits and made her tired, grumpy, and exhausted, considering the sun wasnt out to help recharge her energy. "Well then I guess we just have to enjoy this great day before it gets taken from us," she said and took the ice cream she had and started to lick it faster, time not able to be wasted. As she did so, she recieved a brain freeze and had to stop and hold her head for a moment before laughing at herself.
As Tristan browsed through the shoe store and Elly was outside, more people started to come into the distrct. Some were young, others old; some normal normal humans, whilst others dressed in all goth or crazy outfits. Elly sat and watched people for a while before being interupted by a small group of guys who were tryign to hit on Elly. She ignored them at first until they started to play with her hair and get closer to them. They were all wearing either jean or leather jackets and you could tell that if they were around, it usually ment they were causing trouble. One of the guys blew into Elly's ear and made her flinch uncomfortably, the other three guys closing in on her to make her feel traped. She knew she couldnt use magic infront of them for they weren't gifted and it wasn't recomended to do that.

Tristan chuckled to himself as she giggled, it was such an adorable sound! Made him want to do it again, but he refrained, instead only licking at his ice cream. He smirked and nodded once, briefly glancing from her, then to the sky, then back down again. "Indeed. I know how you hate such weather." He concurred, tsking as she ate her ice cream so fast as to give herself a brain freeze. Laughing a bit, it didn't take long for him to finish off his and head off into the shoe store. He would come out with one pair, that was for sure. He just hoped he had enough money for it.
He wandered around and was finding nothing much in terms of things he liked. It was a bit disorienting since he kept sensing the other peoples movements in the store and the surrounding area. Like he knew exactly where Elly was and- He stopped. There were other signatures closing in on her. Stepping back, he glanced out the front doors and saw the gang of men, narrowing his eyes. He walked casually out of the store, bidding a good day to the girl at the counter, seeming as calm as anyone else enjoying their day.
Walking up silently behind the one who blew in her ear, he tapped his shoulder which caused him to turn. "I think it would be wise to be leaving the little lady alone." He spoke, placing down his bag of clothes by her feet. As he straightened up, one of the guys got in his face, the others trying to act all tough."Or what? You little puny man gonna do what? Huh? You're outnumba'd kid. Now, why dontcha move aside and-""Now no need to be calling names here. I'm asking politely for you to leave her alone." And bingo. With that, the one swung at him, blocking it and fracturing his wrist in the process. Dodging out of the way of another swing, he jabbed at the seconds unprotected stomach. Stepping around Elly, he kicked the thirds ankles out from under him, flipping him with an added shove so he hit the ground harder. As he straightened up, he caught the punch from behind from the fourth, elbowing him across the cheek to his nose effectively breaking it. Now that he faced him, he clapped his hands over his ears, kneeing him in the chest. The last came at him with a knife, grabbing his wrist to deflect it while dodging the kick, pulling him forward and down, causing his face to come into contact with his knee.
Glancing to the unconscious or groaning bodies around him, he looked to Elly, his brows furrowed in worry. "Are you ok? I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner." He asked softly, his knuckles undamaged and not a scratch on him.

Elly was speechless. She didn't know what to do or say and looking around at the guys who were unconscious, she knew that it wasn't a good idea to stay there. "No...erm, uh, i'm fine, just a bit scared thats all, nothing big..." she said hesitantly, trying hard not to act confused or scared because she wasn't really scared for herself but rahter, for Tristan.
She took his hand and walked fact around the shops the one shop that wasn more excluded due to its items being bizzare beyond belief. Elly watched where they went and the outside to make sure no one was following them. Once that was confirmed, Elly colapsed into a hug on Tristan, her grip firm around his back. "I was more afraid that you had gotten hurt! I attract too much attention to myself so I should know better. I didn't want you to get hurt defunding me. I'm sorry. I should have come in with you," she said, her eyes tearing up when she didn't want them too.

Tristan didn't initially buy what she was saying, but he was relieved that she was alright. Physically at least. Picking up his bag from her side, he gave her hand a faint squeeze, actually a bit surprised at himself. He had never been able to fight like that before, yet it had felt as natural as breathing to do so moments ago. It was..... amazing. And a little terrifying.
Noticing how she glanced about and how observant she was, he blinked a bit as she collapsed upon him. His arms slid around her and he held her tightly yet gently, a hand rubbing her back comfortingly. He laughed at what she said, shaking his head as he kissed the top of her head. "You goof. Worry about yourself more in such situations. You are a pretty girl though, so of course men are going to do that. That doesn't mean this is your fault. It's those bastards back there. Any cop would count that as self-defense on my part and harassment and assault on theirs." Although he wanted to look her in the eye, he allowed her to remain as she was, rocking a bit as he continued to hold her.
"I'm fine, I can hold my own. I've been in street brawls before and fought off muggers. You don't have to be sorry Elly, ok?" He murmured in her ear, conveniently leaving out how he had almost killed a couple of men before. She didn't need to know that. He had not always been such a gentle soul.

His legs still felt a little wobbly. Hyunn wasn't really sure if they would give out on him or not. He was hoping they wouldn't. He liked being on his feet, that and he didn't want to make a fool of himself infront of Vira. Standing next to her he straightened himself up, leaning on the edge of the building, feeling the strength in his legs start to come back. He should be fine by time they left the roof, or he was assuming so anyway. He just needed a bit of time to let his body get used to the solid ground again. That wouldn't take too long.
Funny, he'd sort of felt the same way at first. Lifting off and trying to ease himself into it, barely moving at all. It had been a bit strange for him at first. Though any new experience usually was, epsecially if it was as exciting and rare as flying might be. The mention of a family reminded Hyunn of his own. He'd taken off after having a dispute with his father. The conversation had quickly spiralled into a worse and worse argument. It wasn't one of the days he liked to remember, so he tried to avoid ever speaking or thinking of it. Instead, he thought on her situation and hoped to cheer he up a little. The talk of it made Vira sound as if she was a little sad about that fact. "Well, blood or not, those other kids were like a family to you right? Parents are...over rated. They boss you around, tell you what to do. Make you do things you don't want to. I'm sure they love you as much as any other family would. After all, it's really about the connection you share with them, not the blood."

That was true. Seiji liked how Ranka was, how she acted and reacted to everything. Though if her Elders had made he differently from Sheryl, she might have more trouble finding something she liked. Something she loved to do. Though in that sense, he thought it wouldn't be all that difficult for her. She seemed to enjoy the kisses their shared from time to time. That in and of itself was much more complex then having a hobby. "I'm sure you're able to. It's just a matter of finding something you would enjoy doing." Everyone had something they loved, whether it was a person or just something about the world. Seiji let his thumb move across her hand in an encouraging gesture, hoping she'd find something some day.
Whoever her former life had been with, they had the same ideas as him. He'd give her some roses anyway, just to see how she reacted. Surely she would enjoy receiving a present like that if she enjoyed just looking at them. "A lot of plants do have a certain charm about them. Then again I guess that's why they're here aren't they? To bring colour and greenery into the world." He'd definitely get her some next time. Though he wasn't really sure when next time would be. It could be tomorrow, it could be a few days from now. He couldn't be sure. "Even just liking things like flowers is a start you know," He added. "A hobby isn't something you have to have. As long as you're enjoying the things around you and what you're doing. That's often enough."

Vira glanced up to him, noticing his expression had gotten ever so slightly distant. Most probably wouldn't take notice, but she had gotten used to readying subtle cues. Though, back then it was so she would know if she had to go hide or defend herself against a beating. Her eyes lowered again. She held herself, both braids now finished and hanging in front of her shoulders, leaving her back more exposed again. Closing her eyes for a moment, a cool mist formed around her back, soon sticking to her skin to soothe it.
"I know they did. I still miss them. They were the only happy thing I ever had. Besides the sprites." She murmured, opening her eyes as she watched a group of girls chat with each other, wondering what they were talking about. "Maybe. But I see how Tristan misses his at times, I watch these other kids leave after every semester or end of the year and go back to their parents. To their homes. Just once...." She took a deep breath, not wanting him to see such weakness in her. Weakness was exploited. Weakness meant pain. No, no pain... no more pain... "Even if they are a pain in the a**, I still would have liked to have had them. At least then I would know who or what I am. I would know what it's like to have parents who loved me. Instead of always questioning why they didn't keep me." She said softly, the faintest tremble in her voice. No dammit!
Laughing lightly, she looked up to him with an almost poutish smile, tilting her head a bit. She pulled up that bright bubbly her so easily, covering up any sign of how she had been before. No, couldn't let them see. "Sorry, I'm being a downer. You know," She looked down to a group of guys down below, twirling a bit of water between her fingers. "I'm always tempted to throw water balloons from up here. Haven't done it yet though." She switched the subject, yet her hands were still trembling a bit. She flicked the water about in her palm, her golden eyes focusing on the world below. Yes, distraction. Distraction... Don't let them see. Don't let them hurt you. Can't hurt you if they don't see it.
