The group
The group spared no time leaving the capital city after being well rested from their mini vacation in celsius, however Ty and cefia left for the redwoods shortly after they presented themselve to the tree, they promised to meet back up with the group after the redwoods kingdom was restabilized. The group climbed up nekoli pass with relative ease and approached the city... but something was bothering Rikku.
Rikku
Rikku stopped for a second to listen and then continued walking with the group. they were about 10 minutes away form terracotta and something didn't feel right.
Killian
"Rikku... You ok?" He asked cocking his head at her.
Rikku
"yeah... it just that... there is no... music." Rikku said worried.
Melody
"She's right." melody said seeming distraught. "Terracotta is such a large busy city that you can normally hear the sounds of town right after you are out of the pass... there is the music pavilion and the market... not to mention terracotta is a very crowded place on its own... but i hear no sound either." She said hurrying her pace.
The group
When the group entered Terracotta they saw noone... it was like ghost town. The fountains were going and the place was nice and clean. but there was noone around it was as if all the people just randomly left.
Melody
'the town is in defense mode!!!' she thought to herself as she panicked. "Dad!" She said frantically under her breath before breaking apart from the group and running towards the heart of the city, hoping that everything was alright.
Rikku
Rikku looked over at melody and went to follow her but melody knew the city too well and her speed was too much for Rikku. "Larris! follow her make sure she is alright!!" Rikku yelled as she looked around. "Well this is bizarre... alexander... Do you know anything about terracotta and why something like this would happen?" She asked him, because alexander seemed to be the most knowledgable in their group.

"I'm not entirly sure, but I guess this is what is reffered too as 'Defense mode'. The entire city basically transforms into a fortress of weapons, everything that seems like decoration is actually a weapon waiting too be activated. I've never actually been around for this, and that's the extent of my knowledge. I would assume something very bad, like a large scale attack would have too have taken place...or their expecting a large scale attack too show up. There's a labrynth running under the entire city, if we can get in we might be abel too find whoever is in charge and get an explination" Alexander says.
Dimitri kept quiet, he was a swordsmen, not much use in negoiations, so he'd keep his senses alert and try and not kill anyone who attacked.

Jaden put on his cestis, and made sure that they where strapped on correctly. "What ever this is, it doesn't bode well." He said as he looked about the city.

Luna stayed silent as she looked about the city, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary.

"Right." Larris said as he ran off after Melody. "Melody wait!" Larris said as he ran off after her at full speed, not bothering to tell the group what was going on.

Melody
Melody Ran to her fathers church and gasped when she saw the door was busted in, blown clear off the hinges. Holding back tears she ran inside and found her father holding onto a handrail gasping for breath, not fatally injured but definately not in very good shape, especially for an old man.
"papa!" She cried running to him. "What is going on why is the city in defense mode and the church doors kicked in?" She asked as her staff glowed and she began healing his wounds.
"There is a man in Terracotta, one of incredibly sinister nature, he came in and demanded that Terracotta surrender to the aquatic "empire"." Melody's father stated. "My daughter I am grateful to see that you are safe today, however the wind has told me that you are traveling with the priestess... if those words are true you must flee this area, you have no time to loose... Please leave Terracotta before things get worse."
Rikku
The group Stayed where they were, waiting for something to happen or for larris and melody to get back when Rikku saw an incredibly tall figure emerge from a roadway about 40 feet away. "atlas." Was all she said as her heart sank to the pit of her stomach and he just happened to look over in their direction and began walking towards them.
Atlas
"Oh, if it isn't the priestess, you're looking beautiful as ever. Have you reconsidered my marraige proposal and followed me here to express you undying love for me." He smiled
"Burn in hell Atlas!" Rikku spat back at him.
"you'd like that wouldn't you." he smiled. "but unfortunately i have no plans on going anywhere." He said as he thought about something for a second. "Toying with the priestess isn't part of the mission... but that's ok i have time." he said with a wicked smile.
"What mission?" Rikku asked eyeing his every move hoping that the others were doing the same.
"Simple of course... I am going to crush Terracotta like the overgrown clay pot it is." He said with a crazy smile as he drew his sword.

Larris followed Melody all the way to her father. Stopping at the entrance to the room that her father was in, he waited for her father to stop talking.
Stepping in all the way, Larris started to say something when her father had finished. "I will not stand by and let Terrocotta be destroyed by any man. I will die here if it is needed to protect my homeland. If he is as truly sinister as you say, then we must do something, rather than just hide like rats." He said with a calm and cool voice.

Jaden stepped in front of Rikku, and looked at the man. "If you wish to harm her, you will have to get past me first!" He yelled out at the man and clenched his fists.
"If you wish to try and destroy Terrocotta, you will have to get past me as well." He said with emphasis on the try, and grabbed a few throwing knives as Atlas drew his sword. "Besides, do you really think you can get past us all?"

Luna drew her katana as Atlus drew his sword, and waited for him to attack first. She studied how he stood, and his posture, waiting for him to attempt to strike them.

Dimitri had put his hand too his blade the moment he'd seen Atlas and as Atlas drew his blade his was already out of the sheth. He moved abit closer too Rikku and too the back, too stop anything from catching them from behind.
Alexander got ready too throw a sheild up if things got bad.

Atlas
"Alone, ha, no." He said with an abnoxiously big laugh. "I doubt even i could take on ALL of you at once, probably at least 4 or 5 of you but i doubt all of you, but that is why i'm not here alone." He smiled. "For you see, I am not dumb enough to try that." He said as he looked over to the cliff side.
Rikku broke from their defensive stance and ran over to the cliffside, to see hordes of the starfish creatures from before climbing up the cliff. and all at once a pillar of water rushed up causing her to stumble back as soren appeared at atlas' side.
"Now we have a schedule to stay on this cant take very long." Atlas said nodding at Soren as he called forth numerous shards of ice to impale the group. as the starfishmen began climbing over the wall and running amok in the city. as soon as they breached the city, Terracotta sprang to life in true defensive style, as the turrets became usable and the people started fighting back.
Rikku
Rikku and Killian cast a barrier that protected the group from the ice shards, but atlas was moving in fast. ready to strike at whoever was slow enough not to move out of the way, as Soren began charging stronger spells to use against them.
Seeing Atlas coming, Rikku dove away from his sword, yelling. "MOVE" To everyone around her
Killian
Killian dove out of the way with finesse as he locked onto soren, and began firing balls of light his way hoping to catch his attention and stop him from rapid firing spells at teh group.
Melody
"Papa stay safe and out of sight we will be back." She said looking back at larris and nodding. Before running out of church. "Lets go meet up with the others!" She stated running through the city.

"Oh? You could have fooled me." Jaden said tauntingly at Atlas as he readied to throw a few of his throwing knives. Seeing ice shards come at him, he easily dodged them, and retaliated by tossing a few of his knives at Atlas' mid section, hoping to score a direct hit, but highly doubted that would work. As he threw the knives, he followed up up by charging at him with his fists, ready to start punching his face in. He didn't know how good of a fighter Atlas was, but if he wanted to save the town, he would have to try his best.

Luna watched as the shards came at the group. Jumping out of the way, she looked at Soren. Tossing a few of her own throwing weapons at Soren, she charged at him with her katana ready to strike. She had nothing to say, she just wanted to protect her allies. Closing the gap between the two quickly, she did a vertical strike at Soren's head.

"Right, lets help protect everyone!" Larris replied as he drew his axe, and readied a few offensive spells to cast, reciting the words to each one, and the hand motions needed to cast them. Running behind Melody, he kept watch on everything that was happening around them.

Dimitri took off and cut a starfish man in half before cutting through two more, slowly cleaving through starfish man after starfish man.
Alexander got out of the way and created fists out of compressed air and started knocking away Starfishmen that came after him.

((Minor godmodding is going to happen during the beginning of this fight, nothing deadly but definately godmoddish and will probably continue until at least melody and larris re-appear))
Atlas
Atlas laughed when he saw Jaden running for him. Atlas ignored the knives that flew into him, they landed right in his stomach but the armor that was his skin was so think that he hardly noticed them, as he grabbed Jaden's hand and lifting him up with one arm as he laughed. "You will have to try harder than that." He Said as he dangled jaden there like a toy. "is it scary knowing that i could end your existence right here." he smiled looking at jaden with a sharp toothed grin.
Soren
Soren smiled, before luna could even get close to him a trio of humanoid angler fish (the crazy evil looking ones with the light above it's head) floated around him placing up a barrier which held strong against luna's and killian's attacks forcing her to withdraw. Soren "my servants will protect us until the end." laughed as he fired his spell, large fireballs began to shoot randomly at the party as he began charging amuch more powerful spell.
Rikku
"Jaden!" She yelled running to help him only to be stopped by the need to avoid a very large fireball.
Killian
Killian who was relatively close to soren took a good hit by one of the fireballs sending him flying back into a building before slowly standing back up holding his side. "Alexander we have got to destroy his barrier combine your magic with me. if i combine my pwoer with you and you cast that fist spell you should be able to crush it!.

A spear flys past Atlas's head. Dimtri is standing there, sword bloodied and in hand, fishmen blood coated his front. "How about you take on someone who's abit of a heavier hitter?" He taunts Atlas, smirking.
Alexander clenched his hand into a fist and pulled it back. The outline of a large fist forming in the air. Below a few bricks in the ground shook and flew out before attaching too the fist, creating a stone plated fist.

"Yea... Like you could do anything worse." Jaden said mockingly, as he activated his hidden blade, and thrusted his free hand upward towards Atlas' wrist.
Hearing Rikku call out his name, he was silent for a moment. "Don't worry Rikku, I'm fine! It will take more than this guy to kill me!"

Luna had stopped her charge at Soren as the three fish appeared and started to protect Soren. Seeing a fire ball come her way, she dodged it and looked over in Soren't direction. "Coward! Depending on fish to protect you!? Come, face us like a real man!"

Things had began to be crazy in the town and the entire place began to reek of fish as the battle continued.
Atlas
((READ ME Sorry Varnis, i am autohitting jaden... if it was a normal enemy that would've worked... but consider this like a boss fight so you got to think your moves through.... and the battle is going to be incredibly hard so try your best.. i have an entrance that i want to happen from another character to before the battle starts to turn in our favor... so be ready guys i am not going to make winning this, easy... the members of the army that aren't soren and atlas can be taken care of however you see fit))
You're kind is so funny" He said as he saw the hidden blade activate. He just smiled and dropped Jaden, Jaden was quick... and would've struck his wrist, however gravity was quicker. Normally Jaden would've been nimble enough to spring up onto his feet but since his body was contorted trying to hit his wrist he was helpless, and Atlas smiled a wicked smile before kicking jaden with enough force to send him tumbling about 10 feet. "Go home pup, a fight like this is too much for you."
He laughed, as he turned to see Dimitri and smiled. "Oh, so you are the one who was foolish enough to hand that demon book over to cyrus, soren, and aryanna... I've gotta tell you priestess, you did an awful job picking traveling companions, anyone else would've known better than to let a book like that get away... although i guess beggars cant be choosers." He smiled looking at Dimitri, waiting patiently for him to make a move.
Soren
"if i fought "fair" i would've died a long time ago." He said letting out an evil cackle. "if you want to take me you will have to get through them.. let's see wat you've got girlie" he said as they spun around him with a creepy aura surrounding them. Soren looked over at Alexander, and over at Rikku and Killian. 'With that many mages they will be able to take me down... i need to keep them busy, and keeping the others off atlas will be nice too... he is strong but he underestimates their power when they are together... and there are even more of them now' He said as he let out a loud whistle. The members of their fleet that were busy destroying and ransacking turned their attention to the members of the party and eagerly attacked.
The underwater army
There are 4 kinds of aquatic unit's in this battle (*=newly added):
starfish men- basic pons of the army
Anglers- the mage's of the army
*Swordfish- Quick and nimble enemies, they move with alot of grace and are incredibly hard to hit... they don't pack the biggest punch.. but they can hit many times. they all use lightweight rapiers to match their sword like nose which you also have to watch out for in battle.
*Turtles- Super defensive, Super heavy, Super strong hitters. They aren't the fastest creatures in the water.. but they can easily knock you out in one good hit if they manage to get one... their shells and army make them dificcult to hit... and they attack with maces, the shear weight and size of their body and but pulling themselves into their shells and ramming you.
As jaden tumbled to the ground he was easy picking as 3-4 swordfish men charged at his body to cut him down.
In an attempt to stop him from gaining to much power a group of 4 starfish men rushed alexander, each running at him from a different direction to try and offset his magic.
Killian who was getting ready to help Alexander take down soren was stopped as a Turtle waltzed his way infront of him.
(Larris and melody still haven't arrived and won't for a little while)
Rikku
"JADEN" RIkku cried as he was kicked, the second he stopped rolling she saw the swordfish rushing at him. As if instantaneously using her solar speed she appeard over him. "Supernova!" She said as a wave of light shot out circularly around her and knocked them back. "Jaden! you ok?" She asked, helping him up, the kick wasn't enough to seriously injure him, but it was definately going to leave a bruise tomorrow. "C'mon there coming back!" She said standing defensively as the group of swordfish rushed them again.
Killian
Killian's eyes got wide as he looked up at the turtle. he dove out of the way just in time as the mace toor though the concrete where he was standing leaving a nasty pot hole. "Light beam." He said as a beam of light raced toward the turtle. he winced in pain but ultimately all it did was leave a slight dent in his shell. The weak spots on a turtle are it's arms legs, and head... but hitting it's shell basically does nothing.

"Ugh!" Jaden let out as he was kicked in the stomach and sent backwards. Before he could have time to react, he already had some of the fish on him. As he was going to get attack, Rikku had saved his life by knocking back the fish men with her magic as she had put up a defensive stance over him. Accepting Rikku's help up, he looked at her for a moment. "I am fine thanks to you." He smiled to her before turning his attention to the creatures attacking them again.
"Let them come, we will take them down one by one, and with your help, they shouldn't be too much trouble." He said as he charged the closest one. "You wish to fight with evil, you shall die." With that, he got closer to the swordfish, and did a spinning kick to the fish's head knocking it down, and activating the hidden blade, and stabbing it into the throat of the fish.

Luna smiled as Soren spoke. "You are such a coward for doing such a thing. Hiding behind fish, and depending on them to protect you. You will die for using such a cowardly tactic."
Watching the fishmen, she studied them, and determined which one was the most threatening one. Choosing her target, she tossed a few knives in its direction and charged at it, keeping an eye out for any magic that might come her way. Reaching the fish, she did a horizontal strike at the fish.

Alexander brought the fist back, picking his spot carefully. He could see all the energy that the anglers were putting into the sheild, it was tightly knit, but he noticed a small gap that he could take advantage off. He saw the starfishmen charge him. He spun and swung the fist and slammed it into the starfishmen, sending them flying before contuining too spin then swinging the fist at the sheild.
"They still didn't get the important bits, nothing you could summon would pose too big a threat, and it's in a place not even I can get too" Dimitri says flexing his armored fingers, looking at them the way someone would examine there fingernails out of boredom. He lifts the black bladed katana and rests it on his shoulder. "Now, maybe you can beat the location out of me, I'm sure your boss would love too get ahold of the whole book, not just a few pages" Dimitri says, sliding one foot forword. "Jaden, Rikku, let me handle this guy one on one, you'll need too focus on the rest of there forces if we want too repel them" He says, getting very serious.
