xx__CBK__xx After reading what's going down between Nexus and Ageha, I've realized that Nexus and I wouldn't get along.
At all.
I'd have an undying desire to set him on fire.
: D Don't hate what you can't take. talk2hand Best learn to appreciate. cool Anyway, that's what I go for. Nexus is supposed to be the dude who no one likes. He will speak his mind, knowing full well that others won't like it, and when they don't back down, like say for instance, someone agrees with him, he'll get confused. It's part of the complex I got goin' for him. He's a loner, and tries his best to stay alone. Why? Well, it's all he knows, and he hates change. So to keep things consistent, he puts up these barriers that keep people out, such as rudeness, bluntness, irritation, you name it. He sorta likes people not liking him. It--in some twisted, crazy way--inflates his ego. He's getting exactly what he wants. Of course that whole thing deflates and collapses around girls, because he's got that whole shy thing. The only reason he's not doin' it with Ageha is because he honestly thinks she's eight years old. She's a kid to him. Now that Nexus has officially "lost his light," I'm trying to figure out the best way to play this in a way that will develop him. You know, have him stay the same, except grow. I might have him invoke that "I need to fight" urge he grew out of. Yeah, it'd be nice to bring that back. Take his mind off of things. Oh, maybe I can make him take that fighting urge to the next level. Maybe--in his enlightenment--he can drop the whole "I don't kill thing" and actually go through with it. Ooh, that'd be somethin' crazy. Wow. I can't even think of what that stuff would do to his head. I need to think about this.

O : Aero approves. That is the first great change I have witnessed in a roleplay character without that character completely departing from his original self. It feels so intense. Unfortunately, Nexus is probably going to have to put up with Ageha, because she's a beast.

Nice, James is dealing with his own person blood lust and control fighting against one another. He wants to kill, but he has been trainned to control his urge. If he actaully let go and went bezerker like I do not know what I would do with him. Either way, he has to much control over himself.
And I like at Nexus as kinda funny. The full I love others to hate me, because I hate myself.

Oh really. Maybe Nexus and James could help develop each other. Maybe in some instance that they meet, James and Nexus would be all goin' at each other. Maybe James would let go and attack for blood. Nexus would be all like, "this dude is crazy" and the decision to get rid of that "I don't kill" rule gets easier and easier, and at the climax Nexus lets go and "kills 'em". Nexus would be like "Wow, I really did it." Blood be everywhere, his mind would be all over the place, and then he'd go on a crazed killing spree. The alchemists would be like "that's not good, he needs to be stopped."
While your character, who turns out not to really be dead, discovers exactly how bad it is to kill. You know, like one of those near death experiences, and learn to never give into his urges again.
I don't know, man. I don't know. How you figure? Think that'd be worthwhile?

It would work out very well. Since letting into his urge allows him to connect fulling to Malice Maker. I figure after the first full connection he will have an understanding and having him fight someone who is also dealing with major issues makes sense. They end up completing each others. He needs to let go of his total mental control and you need to let go of not killing.
And James would kill in cold blood if he saw it to be worth while.

That's good. That's some really good stuff right there. Let's arrange for that to happen some time soon. Maybe after two or three more posts with Aero, I'll have Nexus leave and go some place else.
