Mitsuki10191 "Yes, I recall hearing that. It was a beautiful sound. Ambrose, you were with us. Don't you agree?" Sly asked, and Ambrose looked up from the ground and forced a smile, nodding. "Right, Pa. I'd wondered why I could never tell where it was coming from." He said, smiling briefly at Lin Yin before looking at the ground again. There was an image stuck in his head of a pale face, wide eyes, and a broken expression. It was haunting him, no matter how hard he tried to force it out of his mind. Lin smiled politely back at Ambrose, but he already was looking back at the ground, so he wouldn't have seen it. That was curious indeed. In her home and at Bai Ching, you always walked with your head held high. She turned back to the parents. "I sometimes sing as well, but mostly, I practice my archery skills and my healing abilities."

"Healing, you said? That's a lovely gift. My husband and son have shielding abilities, but can't really heal without a bit of help from myself and Lia." Eleanor said, and without thinking Ambrose began to say, "And Izzy can heal a lo-" He was cut off by a subtle squeezing of his shoulder from his father. With a sheepish expression, he looked away, his gaze focusing on Lin Yin instead. "What do you like more, healing or archery?" He asked, attempting to get his mind off...other subjects.

Lin decided to not focus on the small stumble from Ambrose.
"I actually cannot choose a favorite. I love using different herbs and reagents to make potions and healing substances. I love helping people, healing them. However, I also love using a bow and arrow. I light the arrow on fire and I can defend the people I love, not simply stand on the sidelines and hope they can defend themselves. To me, healing and archery are both ways to help people, and that is what I love."

"Well, that's great too," He said, actually flashing a quick grin as he thought about what she'd said. "Not to be rude, but do you have to set the arrow on fire to protect them, though? Seems it'd be a lot less dangerous if you just used a regular arrow when you're surrounded by trees and stuff." He said, genuinely curious. Sly nodded approvingly of the question, patting his son on the back.

Her eyes seemed to light up more and she seemed to go in her slightly excited mood. She WAS excited. She loved talking about healing and archery and loved answering people's questions.
She smiled back at Ambrose. "Actually, the fire can spread to more people at once than using a simple arrow. If there is a large enemy approaching, such as an army of vampires, the arrow will hit one, but the fire will jump from that vampire to the next and so on. I can control the fire, making it spread."

"Oh, I see. That's interesting. Can you control any other elements?" Lia asked, tuning into the conversation as her mother smoothed down her hair and skirt.

"I can control water. Most of my people can, since our spring is such a large part of our life. I also talk with animals and make trees and flowers bloom or make them healthier. Other little things I can do with nature. I would demonstrate, but I do not want to seem as if I am showing off my powers."

Ialo opened the door slowly, not sure what to think. A single man stood facing one of the many monitors. The dimly lit conditions of the room spared few details as to who he may have been.
"Greetings and bien venue, Mr. Enlil."

"Oh, not at all dear. A sense of modesty is a good thing to possess." Eleanor said, and Lia nodded her agreement. "Tell me, Lin Yin, do you enjoy fashion?" Lia asked, and Ambrose rolled his eyes slightly, having wanted to continue talking about powers and abilities.

A bit frazzled and depressed, Ialo walked into his office. "Hello to you too, sir," he greeted politely. "Is there something I can help you with?" He frowned. Ialo didn't like it that the man had gotten in here. Did he forget to lock his office?

Lin thought about it for a moment and then answered carefully, not wanting to insult the guests. "Many of my friends at Bai Ching like fashion. I myself love dresses and doing different hairstyles. However, I do not spend much time on either because I usually cannot wait to get to my classes and work on my studies and abilities. I, of course, make sure I look presentable and represent my school and home well, but my main passion and focus goes to my studies."

"Why, isn't that just lovely! I swear, every child should be like you." Eleanor said, and Sly nodded, smiling. "You've a good head on your shoulders. Well, I fear we must be getting back home. I've some paperwork to see to. Come Eleanor, kiss the children good bye. It was a pleaure meeting you, Lin Yin." He said, extending his hand as Eleanor gathered Ambrose and Lia in her arms.

Lin bowed again. "It was my pleasure to meet all of you. I do hope to see you all again soon. I will leave you to your goodbyes."
With that, Lin walked away from the side of the school and headed back in the front entrance. She simply stood there for awhile, looking around.

Sly and Eleanor disappeared in a flash of light, and Ambrose and Lia made their way to the back of the school, to talk of nothing in particular. They enjoyed each other's company, though Lord knew why.
Danni chose that moment to exit the conference room, needing to get some air. As she started towards the main entrance, she spotted Lin Yin, and she waved absently. "Hi," She said softly, stopping with her hand on the doorknob.
