Kaiser nodded, firmly shaking her hand. He smiled. "My name is Kaiser Dante." He noticed how soft her hand felt compared to his own rough blacksmith hands. He tucked the information away for later use. He liked to know the people he associated with.

"A pleasure. I saw you talking with Lina's father. You a friend of the family?" she asked, patting the stool next to her.

Kaiser nodded as he sat down. "I am. Rike left Signet some time ago, and wound up crossing my path. I run a nation in the middle of a desert quite some ways from here. I've been friends with Rike ever since." His wings twitched and rearranged themselves slightly.

She raised a dark, perfectly manecured brow, "You must be a hands-on ruler, I noticed that your hands are those of a worker."

"You would be correct." He smiled, his hand straying to the hilt of his left sword. "When you live in a desert, there is no room for dead weight. I have to work just as much as my nation members. I can't ask them to do anything I'm not willing to do myself." He undid the tie holding his left sword, Ignorance, and laid it down on the bar. "I forge my own weapons. This one and it's twin are my favorites."

They were beautiful blades and she told him as much but didn't touch. The pulsating lights glinted off the blade, "Could I visit sometime?" She asked, "I've never been to a desert before, though I've read about them. They get really hot at midday and then freezing cold during the night time."

He put the sword back at his side, thanking her for her compliment. "You are more than welcome to visit, though you may have some difficutly finding it. I dealt with the temperature issue by placing the entire nation underground."

She stared at him, completely broadsided by that comment, "...Well....Then I suppose...." She frowned then laughed, "Wow! How'd you do that?" She wanted to know.

Kaiser laughed at her reaction. "It took a lot of work, a lot of luck, even more magic, and an immortal lifespan."

She was curious, "Since I've met and touched you, I could track you easily enough....but how do you farm....or do you harvest plants that need little sunlight?"

"Well feel free to drop in then." He raised his wings for a moment, scratching his shoulder before placing them back where they were and speaking. "As long as you can go down far enough there is water in even a desert. That and a bit of magic to transfer sunlight and you have decent farming conditions."

"Sounds amazing..." Obsidian breathed, "So....is there a queen at home?" She asked, grinning broadly, her black eyes were laughing after asking that question.

Kaiser smiled again and shook his head. "No. The reason Rike looks so distressed over there is because I haven't even been on a date in the past several centuries." He moved some of his hair out of his eyes. "It's difficult for me to find anything in common with most people."

She frowned, "There has to be someone right for you. I mean, your good looking enough." She rested her head on her hand and her elbow on the bar, "Not one woman who shares one similarity to you?" She sounded incredulous.

Kaiser nodded thoughtfully. "I've no doubt she's out there somewhere, it'll just take a while to find her." He shook his head a little and turned back to her. "The biggest problem I have, is that almost anyone will die before I do. I've lived for millienia. If I fall for a mortal, even if they have an abnormally long lifespan, eventually the time that I spend with them will become insignificant compared to my life. It'll take a while, but I'll find the right woman eventually."
