Amy smiled at Karrie as she watched him as he put a plate of food on the table for Velcore. Even though he was supposed to not get any treats, he still got to have some very good food. That was really sweet at Karrie.

Still smiling, she picked up the shrimp croissant and held it out for Thistle. "I'll get another one after I finish this casserole. I didn't want to offer Thistle food if Velcore couldn't have any. It wouldn't be fair."

Thistle squeaked in excitement and hopped happily over to Amy. She looked up at her adoringly and then gently took the sandwich from her hand. She looked at Velcore briefly with a twinkle in her eyes, happy for him, and then set the sandwich down on the floor to eat it.

Amy turned to look back at Karrie. "I'm sure I'll love it, Karrie. I love cheese and I love casseroles. I also loved your cooking last night. I'm glad I get to try one of your experiments."

She picked up her fork to begin eating, and then she looked up at Karrie and smiled once again. "That was really sweet what you did for Velcore just now. I'm glad you let him have some food from the buffet."

She picked up some of the casserole with her fork and then put it in her mouth. When the wonderful cheesy taste hit her taste buds and she had chewed it for a few moments, she closed her eyes in delight. God, she could die happy right now it was so good. If she had enough money, she would pay Karrie to become her private chef. Of course then she'd never leave the house and she'd just get plump and unhealthy. Not a good combo. So for now, she'd stick to enjoying his food whenever she had the opportunity to.

When she had finished her bite, she opened her eyes and nodded to Karrie. "Okay, this is really good, Karrie. I'm not trying to boost your ego, but this is probably the best thing I have had in quite awhile. I hope you wrote down the recipe for this because I might ask you to make it for me in the future."

She winked playfully at him.

Amy looked a little confused herself. "No, I'd never think you'd starve him. But... I didn't know that you normally gave him human food. I don't really know what dragons eat. I just thought that it was kind of like a mini-treat for him to get to eat the food from the buffet."

She ate some more of the casserole. If that chocolate fountain wasn't over there, she would have gotten seconds of the casserole.

Thistle squeaked around her mouthful of food, still eating her sandwich. She didn't completely inhale it like Velcore did, but she was eating it quite quickly. It was really good! Her squeak was meant for Karrie, showing her approval of the food. She thought that he'd understand her squeak!

Amy chuckled softly. "He's a very lucky dragon, then, and not just because he has a great cook as a master. You're very sweet and caring to him, Karrie. He's really lucky to have you."

She smiled over to Velcore and then looked down at Thistle. She nodded to what Karrie said about her. "Yes, that is definitely a squeak of approval. I'm going to get some chocolate-covered fruit now. Can I get you anything, Karrie?"

She got up to go to the buffet and started to fill up her plate with different fruit. She speared them with toothpicks and started to dip them with chocolate. She knew that Karrie could call out to her if he wanted her to get something.

Thistle looked up at Velcore and began squeaking softly, as if she were trying to whisper. She knew Amy would give her some of her chocolate, and since Thistle was a lot shorter than the table, she could scoot some of the chocolate treats over to Velcore without being noticed. She could understand him, right?

She tried to make gestures with her nose of scooting something along the floor over to Velcore to demonstrate what she was squeaking.

Amy chuckled softly but nodded. She came over with her fruit and sat down at the table. She also had a small plate with three chocolate-covered fruit on it, and she put that one on the floor for Thistle.

Thistle looked up at Velcore one last time before she started eating the fruit. It was amazing!!!! She had never had chocolate before! She ate it very quickly and she enjoyed every bite. When she looked up, chocolate covered her nose and mouth, but her eyes were sparkling with joy.

Amy was eating her own fruit at the moment, so she didn't see Thistle look up at her until she squeaked. When Amy looked down, she couldn't help but laugh as she saw the state her pony was in. She reached down and picked her up.

"The chocolate fruit is wonderful, Karrie, but I'm afraid we'll have to cut this night short. I need to take Thistle home and give her a bath."

Thistle looked at Karrie with wide eyes and started squeaking excitedly to him, trying to convey her deep appreciation for the wonderful chocolate he had made!

Amy laughed at Thistle again and kissed the top of her head as she stood up.

"Do you think we could come back tomorrow night, Karrie and possibly spend a little more time here?"

Amy was quite surprised that Karrie hadn't been to MW tonight. Had he gone straight to her house? He said he had been on his way to MW when Velcore urged him to go to her house, but she just assumed that Karrie had already been to the bar earlier in the day.

"Yeah, I know how to get home. I paid close attention to the path we took to get here in case I wanted to come back here. If I'm not at the bar when you stop by tomorrow, try my house if you want to come back here. I don't think it'd be much fun to come here without you."

She put Thistle on the floor momentarily. Thistle proceeded to hop over to Velcore and nuzzle him in goodbye. She also ended up getting chocolate on him, but she hadn't thought about that. She didn't really know better, yet. She just wanted to say goodbye to her friend. She hoped he'd come back to Amy's house soon because she liked having him around to hang out with in the toy room!

Amy walked over to Karrie and wrapped her arms around him. She held him closely for awhile, hoping to convey how much she appreciated what he had done. It was somewhat odd because Kai had been the only other man she had ever held this long before. She meant to pull back a little bit sooner, but she like the feel of being this close to Karrie. It was very comforting and... something else she wasn't quite sure of.

She tilted her head up to look at Karrie. "Thank you for doing this, Karrie. It means so much to me. First the long talk last night and then all of this tonight. You're a really good person. Again, thank you."

She leaned up and kissed his cheek slowly before she pulled back. There was a faint blush on her cheek, but she smiled anyway and picked Thistle back up. She pet Velcore on the head a little bit and then leaned down and kissed the top of his head before she headed for the door. She turned and looked over her shoulder at Karrie one more time. She smiled softly and then headed out for the night.

I am back home. Vacation was great. Now back to reality.
