Does anyone here know anything about Navy History? Like fathers or grandfathers serving? But not just family, but actual Navy history for WWII?
EDIT: I just found out my Great-Grandfather was the Captain of the USS Iowa ship back in the day. How cool is that?

HOLY FLIPPIN COW! I also just found out my Great-great grandfather (possibly great-great-great) was the one that took the first photo of the Wright Brothers flying their plane at Kitty Hawk!

My great-great-somethingorother-uncle was a Confederate general. Jeb Stuart. Also I have a relative somewhere along the line who was one of the artists of the various Uncle Sam recruitment posters (but not the most famous one).
