I have lived the furry's dream: watching dancers do acrobats in tight, revealing cat costumes. They also cuddle.
Yeah, so... back from CATS.
OH GOD MY HANDS. My poor, poor hands. So much ad libertum conga... And EVERY SONG is counted in some form of three; whether it be 12/8 time or triplets in 4/4. Also, everything I have is in the key of C major, with all the accidentals written in (as opposed to, oh, say... a KEY SIGNATURE).
And, Skimbleshanks rocks. It's in 13/8 time (WTF COOL, counted as: 1 2 3 - 1 2 3 - 1 2 3 - 1 2 - 1 2) and switches to 4/4. I have three pages, most of which is crazy sixteenth notes. Gus, on the other hand... I have four timpani shots and ten notes on glock over two pages.
Also, the pianist taught me how to do a double-fisted chromatic scale. SCORE.
