"It's been a long while since I've had the luxury to choose. Normally I just cook up whatever meat I have." She traced her fingers over the table, still in awe. If she was forced to leave, Sarah knew she would cry for days.

"Well, lets get you some basic stuff then." Black told her, ordering up some cooked meat and vegetables from the chef. Of course then, he took a seat back down and looked at her. "Well, the chef is cooking something up right now, so you have a chance to order something while the stove is hot." He told her as he still watched her.

Sarah was still unsure of what she wanted to eat. Such wonderful meals they could most likely cook. Foods that she couldn't have imagined in her wildest dreams. But the more the bounty hunter thought about what they could cook, the more she thought about when she was on her own. No matter how good a meal prepared by them would taste, it would never be able to out taste something she cooked herself on a camp fire. Soon she found herself longing for rabbit cooked on a spit over a small fire. Even the dried meats were something she missed deeply.

After a little while their food arrived. Some meat, potatoes, carrots and all that other fun stuff. She was given a fork and a knife and Black looked over to her, smiling. Looking down at his own food, he licked his lips. "I hope you like it. Maybe You'll want to eat her more often after." He said, starting to cut into his food.

It was unusual to be looking at meat on a plate that she hadn't killed. Actually, it was unusual to be looking at meat on a plate at all. Sarah was so used to just cutting off small pieces straight from the animal. The fork and knife stood out to her. She picked up the knife and examined it. Running her thumb over it, the serrated edge felt rough as though it was meant for cutting very tough meat. Using the knife and fork, she cut a piece of. While it was quite wonderful, Sarah felt it didn't taste much like meat. More like the spices it was cooked with. Quietly, she continued to eat. The potatoes and vegetables were slightly less spiced, but still didn't taste like the original thing.

Most of the food in the castle had been preserved on a count of it being stored most of the time. It was only cooked with spices to make sure no one ever tasted the preservatives. Though honestly, it was just food. Who would argue with that? As long as you didn't starve, it was alright. Looking up from his meal, he smiled to Sarah. "How do you like it?"

"It doesn't taste real," she stated bluntly. Despite its taste, she continued to eat. Not only would it have been rude not to, but she was damned hungry.

"Yeah, I guess we could hunting some time if you prefer that. I haven't been out like that in a few years though." Black told her as he continued to eat. What he wouldn't kill to have something to actually taste. "How does that sound?"

'Is he asking me to take him hunting?!'
She perked right up. "I would love to! Though I would insist on cooking it myself!" Sarah was very a**l about preparing the animal she had caught. "What would we hunt? What sort of animals frequent this forest?" Never before had she been so excited about having to kill her own food.

'She took up my offer? Fantastic!'
Black looked at her again after already having shoved a piece of meat into his mouth again. He chewed and swallowed it before answering her. "You know deer, rabbits and all that other fun little stuff." He told her, though he would let her do most of the hunting.

In her mind, Sarah was already thinking about where to lay traps for rabbits, what bow she would use for deer. 'Ok, from where you were last time...there were faint rabbit tracks, so there may still be some there. Deer will be harder to find, so I'll keep my bow out for those. Maybe have my small bow out for birds? Naw. Probably just song birds. Can't eat those right...'

Finishing up his meal, Black watched in utter amusement as Sarah was pondering over something. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he did. "Then we'll start tomorrow morning, right?" He asked, trying to get a response from her.

"Before sunrise is a good time to head out. After sunset is also a good time. Ya see, in the morning is a bit harder because time isn't on your side. When the sun comes up, they can see you better, they can feel you there more. I know some think it's the other way around, but I've always had the best of luck at night." She had finished eating and put her knife and fork on the plate to symbolize she was done. Sarah felt proud what she could remember of 'civilized' life. "Once, I was miles outside any town. I was starving so I set out a bunch of snares for rabbits. Be damned if all 8 of them didn't have rabbits in them! Nice ones too, not the young ones. The young ones are only good for stews cause the meat is too tough otherwise."
She leaned forward. "Now deer on the other hand, those you want to try and get during the day. They're much more jumpy at night, ya see? You gotta be real quiet when ya see deer and are tying to hunt em. Gotta try not to smell human, too. I find mud works best to hide that smell. But when ya cook deer, you gotta cut em up first. Rabbit you can just put on a spit, with deer, you should gut them first, try to save some of the better organs to eat. Then ya section up the meat and you can cook it on the hot stones or put that on the spit, too."

Black only blinked at what she was explaining. He hadn't really hunted that way before. The only thing he really did was kill them and bring them back to be cut up. Though he enjoyed the idea of watching her work. "So, when did you want to start?"

"How fast can you get into a little clothing as possible without being naked?" She knew very well how it sounded, but that's how she worked. Once they got outside the gate, she wasn't even going to wear her boots or fishnets. How excited Sarah was to be showing someone to hunt could not be contained.
