I like it. I think your art styles match well - you might think about experimenting with a more indie/Fantagraphics art style than the more traditional comic style you often aim for.

Thanks Larfleeze. I think I might try that, but what I think also helped was just Gus's misshapen head that I didn't have to worry about getting every thing in proportion.
But what kind of books do you think I should check out?

Yeah I plan to check out "The Nobody" at one point. I did read the Los bro's "Citizen Rex" I did like the art, but not so much the story, too confusing.

Sorry L, this is kind of a step down from the Sweet Tooth pic.
After reading Scott Pilgrim, I couldn't get the style out of my head. Even more so since I got a story idea for a comic in the same vain as Scott Pilgrim, North World, RPG world, and MegaTokyo.
This is a story I got called The Adventures of N.P.C


The idea to the story is that NPC (still thinking of a Name to fit) who was just a village NPC you see RPG games. Nothing stick out about him and he has never had any anything happen to him to start a Quest, until he check out a cave near the town that Adventures always seem to go. There He meet who was meant to a Boss of the Cave.


This Wraith had been haunting the cave for 50 years, and instead of fighting her, NPC asks her "why?". He find that she was murdered and her body left in the cave. No one ever gave her a burial or caught the killer. So from this, NPC takes it upon himself to help find out what happened.
That's pretty much what I got so far.

I drew this after I listen to a ep of War Rocket and Ajax, one of the host, Matt Wilson, talked about a comic book Idea he had called Copernicus Jones: Robot Detective. I though it was a cool Idea so I though I draw him, even more so since I wanted to draw a robot. Granted he didn't say on what it look like so I just ran with it. What do you think?

The other day I checked out a store called Jerry's Artarama, and picked up a few Water Color pencils and Markers. I tested them out yesterday to see how they worked out. the water color I think I need to read up on how to properly used them, plus I didn't realize the paper I got wasn't good for it. The Markers Turned out good, but I should have gotten more colors and different scales of gray tone.
