He was still trying to figure all of this out; but at the very least, Roswell and Lysander were decent men who were of a similar mindset to his own, it seemed; and they had helped him dispatch of those damned centipede creatures. The least Merric could do was help them as much as possible in return.

A massive leg comes crashing down towards you, perfectly pinning your coat. You need to get rid of it! (No damage - coat)
Vasily shouldn't have stood in one place so long -- that was his mistake. As he contemplated whether or not to use the bandages in his hand, a leg came crashing down, striking through his coat and jerking him back down to get another mouthful of sand.
For a moment, he thought this was the end. Then he realized it was only his coat and he writhed out of it, grabbing the bandages and his weapon and taking off at as close to a run through the sand as he could manage.
There was something nestled underneath one of the dead centipedes. Nash reached out and snatched it up, tucking the bandages away in his coat for later use.

"Damn it!" It was like Dottie wanted to get burned alive. "This why they all wanna kill you: you're such a god damn b***h." Shaky hands opened the kit he found, and Dean reviewed his memories as he tried to clean her up. Pressure, tight but not restrictive...
He noticed Dickhead was getting medical attention and waved his other hand. "Yo! Can you help her n' the others?" he called. The other guy had color to his coat, so he had to be better than some junior nurse, right? Nevermind that Dean had his own cuts and bruises and looked ready to fall over.
And then the ******** centipede made a second pass nearby and pulled him under before he could do much more than a cut-off yelp.

A massive shape descends towards you - you realize belated it is the body of the centipede and for a moment your legs seize up, and you can't move. You need someone to QUOTE YOU to pull you away (or, if nobody does, you can just take the -10 damage).
For a moment, he just took a breath. Ever frowned faintly at Sherry, then looked back over his shoulder at Chase -- looking young, fresh-faced, and relatively defenseless at this point, though Ever was the one covered in blood -- then back to Sherry. He struggled to keep himself between them, not quite sure what was going on but certain that something was...buggy.
He held up the sheath half of his weapon in a gesture that was hopefully simultaneously soothing and defensive. "I'm not sure what he did to you, but --"
Before he could finish that thought, the body of the centipede loomed up over him, Ever too distracted to quite notice.
It was Chase's turn to return the favor as he dragged both himself and Ever bodily out of harm's way. All it took was a single misstep though, and he felt the sting of a bite on the back of his leg before he saw the retreating centipede burrow back into the sand.
"Ow." The effects were immediate, and the dizziness compounded with the heat and adrenaline was making it hard to focus. He felt his stomach lurch as vertigo set in. Something was definitely wrong. Chase tried to take a step toward Ever, and this time he lost his footing, collapsing into a sitting position as his body refused to recognize which was was up. "Something just bit me. I don't... feel so good..."
"Wow. This is officially the worst welcome back ever." Abbi said to herself, incredibly calmly, as she clutched to her scythe handle far too high in the air. Everything below was small, and frantic, and after yelling for a good half a minute, Abbi was feeling better. Not in control, not calm, she was really super duper scared, but somehow better. Of course, her stomach dropped out a second later when a nearby section of the centipede she was clutching to pinned Bradley. She had the perfect vantage point to watch it all unfurl and the perfect recall of her own memories in the Sahara. Being trapped under a wheelchair, the panic of thinking she was going to drown in the sand, the hurt, the hurt, the hurt.
And suddenly, falling didn't seem that bad.
Viveca screeched in her head, but Abbi ignored her and uncurled herself from the blade. She pushed her feet against the hard shell of the centipede until her scythe slid free. The blade glittered into nothingness and the young woman dropped down, not even bothering to flail and instead concentrating on the moment of impact where she managed a half a roll simply because sand hurt a lot more than she thought it would. Despite the limp, despite the sting, despite her racing heart because wow that was dangerous, Abbi hurried her way over to Bradley and resummoned her weapon. "I told you I'd come running after you, too." She managed in a laugh as she twirled her weapon so that the blade curved over her shoulder and that the jewel suspended in its crook faced him. Abbi dipped the scythe twice, once against each of Bradley's shoulders as though she were knighting him, and stepped back. "You're right. I really don't like these orientation meetings."

Bradley is healed for 16HP! And can skip rolling a d20 for his next post using the Moon Division Status Effect lol
The fact someone else was near by, helping out the guy she was running beside didn't quite register in her brain. Brad wasn't the only one finding himself crushed under the weight of the freaking body. Kara yelped, trying to scramble out of the way....

Sherry has 19hp. 3. Smaller centipedes appear, they wrap around your legs and try to drag you into the sand. You or anyone else must do 10 damage to them to make them let go. (No need to roll 1d20 again until you do).
"No!" Sherry screamed at them as the Puppet moved behind the other Hunter. It was going to chew his head off, she could just see it. "No, it's a puppet! It killed him! Kill it!" She screamed and moved towards them, even as they dodged out of the way of the large body. She had to stop it. She couldn't let anyone else die. She was still crying.
She took another step and - something wrapped around her leg, then something else. More centipedes. Come to help their puppet brother. They started to drag her down.
"No!" She screamed again, her eyes searching for the body of Chase and the other Hunter. "No! I have to stop it!" There they were, in the sand. "Run," she screamed at Ever. "Run! Kill it or run!"
She had to take care of these damn bugs. Too bad she still felt shaky and weak.
She wondered where this resolution had come from, but only vaguely. Stormy was more than used to her shift in emotions at random at this point. Only after she was sure Kara had cleared one coil of the centipede did she turn to Gale.
"I'm okay," she said, and she looked as determined as she had before. "You'll be, too." The squeeze of her hand was a promise.
As Gale sifted through the sand and found some extra bandages, she tried to scan through the massive writhing titan and various hunters to find anything remotely like a shelter. Hadn't the tents been burned and washed away, though? The base had been a mess before they had even gotten there.
"Hm..." Stormy glanced at him, and even through that quiet resolution, she managed a hint of a smile. "What do your elf eyes see?"

A shout from behind made Vasily turn in place -- and then scowl at the demanding way Dean waved at him, somewhat self-important, he thought. He took a step forward to say something in reply and almost stumbled over something in the sand.
He hesitated, then stooped to poke at it, and came up with another set of bandages.
With both in hand, he raised his eyes to Dean again, with just a flicker of an unpleasant smile on his face. He raised them in the air and gave them a little wiggle.
"Ask me really nicely and maybe I can help you out."
10. Something rams into you with the force of ten freight trains. You swear you've nearly shattered every bone in your body, if it weren't for your weapon. Lose HALF your remaining health.
As soon as he was done lamenting, he felt something smash into him and he cried out as he landed hard, rolling again. "I'M SO DONE WITH THAT!" Dusting his hair, he looked nearby and noticed plaid clothes that were wedged underneath pieces of centipede. "CRAP!" Tobin looked between them and he groaned.
"OKAY DEAN, SUCK IT IN!" He grabbed his weapon and went to attack the piece that was on him.
Quickly, he attacked whatever was pinning him, glancing at Vash with a lift of his eyebrow. "Hey, sweetcheeks, he's pinned down and saved your sorry a**, maybe return the favor?" Tobin didn't want to deal with him, he'd rather let Dottie have that honor.
"NOW GET THE ******** OFF OF MY FRIEND!" He turned his attention back to the object.

For just a single moment, you are safe. Just barely. (No damage).
For a moment, things were quiet on their end. He watched the bugs clutch at Sherry's legs and shuddered in memory of how that felt. But Ever also remembered that they didn't really hurt anyone, just held on tight and wiggled some, and remembered how easy they'd been to clear.
Instead, he turned back to focus on the young man behind him, expression intense and concerned, his eyes very dark.
