Naruto shifted his weight, a low gurgling growl coming from his abdomen. Kasumi cocked an eyebrow, glancing at her brother. "Your appetite is ridiculous, outou. If you aren't training or fighting, you're eating," she sighed.

Merrick cocked his head slightly, watching the group from the corner of his eye. "I doubt it," he said quietly with a slightly teasing smile.

Lorcán exhaled as he leaped from tree to tree, landing on the wall though he didn't notice the startled looks some of the other moles, squirrels, and mice gave them.

Constance glanced at the group and chuckled softly as she shook her head. "I think you're right," she said as she looked back to Merrick. "How about we disappear for a little while? Have some alone time?" She stepped closer to him, her hand touching his chest lightly. Merida laughed a little when she heard Naruto's stomach. "Well they had plenty of food made back there. I am sure there are some left over." She said with a small tilt of her head. ~~~ Cassandra couldn't help but laugh a little as she saw the looks that she and Lorcan were getting from the moles, squirrels and mice. She landed next to Lorcan, brushing back her hair. "You'd think they had never seen anybody do that before," she teased lightly. Some of the animals grinned and looked away.

Naruto chuckled. "Blame Tou-san; let's face it, he could probably eat the entire Akimichi family under the table," he said wryly as he stood. Kasumi shuddered. "The Akimichi Clan tends to eat ridiculous amounts of food... and if they aren't eating a large meal, they're almost always snacking," she said wryly as she half turned towards the Abbey, though she could clearly hear Constance and Merrick's low conversation clearly.

Merrick tilted his head. "I think I know a good place, one that's open enough to give us room and privacy and it isn't that far away," he said quietly.

Lorcán chuckled. "They probably haven't, but then... when it comes to surprising things, well, we've gotten fairly used to that sort of thing," he said with amusement.

Kaosujin Ryu okay last post probably for a while...my grandma is taking us shopping for the baby...this is gonna take forever...lol Merida turned her gaze to Merrick and Constance. " We are heading back to the Abbey," she called out to them. "Are you coming?""No, you go ahead," Constance said as she looked over at Merida. "Merrick and I will be fine." She smiled as she saw Merida shrug and turn back to Kasumi and Naruto. "Let's go to this place you speak of." She said softly to him. ~~~~ Cassandra turned back to Lorcan with a grin. "I forget it's been a while since I have been here. I used to make quite the run around this place."

Naruto tilted his head as he shifted unconsciously into a loping run with his weight leaned slightly forward with his arms drifting behind him. Kasumi laughed softly as she shifted into a fluid loping jog, deliberately letting Naruto take point.

Merrick looked towards Merida when she spoke to them, not that surprised at Constance's reply; he thought he saw Kasumi glance at them for a moment and suspected she knew exactly what they were doing. "Then let's go," he said with a chuckle as he shifted into a loping jog as his tails remerged into a single tail before fading away from sight. He headed slightly eastward, but mainly northward.

Lorcán tilted his head as he planted one foot on the wall and chuckled. "Kasumi likely doesn't know that I kept practicing some of the lessons she taught Merida and I when we were younger... and this is the result," he said as he pushed off and over the wall into the yard. As he got close to the ground, it seemed to ripple as he vanished into it before he sprang up out of it again fluidly. It was an advanced trick of geokinesis.

Kaosujin Ryu all i have to say is that she is one spoiled baby Constance watched as Kasumi, Naruto and Merida took off in one direction. When she turned back around she saw that Merrick had already begun in the opposite direction and she grinned as she followed easily after him. Before she would have thought it impossible to keep up, but now the wind aided her in her travels. ~~ Merida looked one last time at Merrick and Constance before following after Naruto and Kasumi. She was sure that the two younger ones would be okay now. No doubt those other beasts that had survived would spread the word not to mess with them. She gave a small shake of her head. ~~ "What a diligent student," Cassandra said with a chuckle as she watched Lorcan. Her eyes widened a little when she saw what Lorcan did. "Now that is something else," she said softly as she walked towards him.

Naruto glanced back at Merida as Kasumi laughed softly. "It's funny that they were able to keep from killing them, though we're lucky other than being scared half to death," she said with amusement. "Tell me about it," Naruto said with a sigh.

Merrick tilted his head as he planted one foot on the edge of the stream that curved around ahead of them before he pushed off, a slight burst of flickering blue flame trailing after him as he somersaulted, landing with a splash not too far from a forty five foot long stretch of soft sandy beach that stretched for roughly a hundred twenty feet from end to end. Merrick looked down with surprise, realizing that though he'd landed in the water short of the small beach, he hadn't gone underwater but was actually crouching on the surface of the water.

Lorcán chuckled. "We all have natural affinities for certain elements; in my case, it happens to be earth and lightning," he said with a half smile.

"Those things were lucky," Merida said as she looked to Naruto and Kasumi. "I am surprised Constance and Merrick were able to stop. Shows they have more control than we originally thought I guess."~~~~ Constance followed after Merrick, not paying attention to what he was doing, or where they were. When he had stopped she stopped next to him with a frown. "Merrick, what's..." And then she saw what was going on. The both of them were on the water, balancing on the top. She looked down at her feet with surprise. "Whoa," she said softly. ~~~~ Cassandra smiled at Lorcan as she stopped in front of him. "I learn more about you everyday. I have a natural affinity for lightening."

Naruto chuckled. "It doesn't really surprise me, since I've checked on Merrick from time to time and helped him a bit," he said with a shrug. Kasumi looked surprised. "And you were going to mention this when?" she said wryly, sighing as they got close to the Abbey; she was inwardly impressed that Merida had kept up with them fairly easily.

Merrick cocked his head before he experimentally somersaulted backwards, sending a pulse of energy into his hands before letting it shift back to his feet. He felt the wetness of the water and noticed that it seemed.... almost like running on cornstarch but without the risk of getting stuck. "The little beach here... not many beasts come by this way, since the stream isn't much deeper than mid-thigh at its deepest," he said with a shrug as he pushed off lightly, landing on the sandy beach.

Lorcán smiled faintly. "I know, since you certainly 'shocked' me, and I don't just mean in private... but seeing you in person every time was kinda like sticking my finger in an electric outlet," he said wryly.

Merida walked silently with Naruto and Kasumi. She listened to them speak and smiled a little. She was glad someone had been watching after Merrick while his mother was being held against her will. ----- The beach was beautiful. Constance was as Merrick landed on the shore and with a smile she joined him. "It is nice here." She said as she looked around. "Peaceful." And indeed it was. There was no other sound besides the two of them. ---- Cassandra chuckled softly and shook her head a little. "It is still hard to believe that all this time you have felt the same way about me as I have about you."

Kasumi shifted her weight, thoughtful. Naruto shrugged. "Life tends to be harsh regardless of how we grow up... I just decided to make sure Merrick could defend himself if necessary while I looked for you," he said wryly.

Merrick chuckled as he glanced at the sun, which was a little over midway to the horizon. His gaze flicked momentarily to the cave which had an overhang several yards away. "Sometimes it can be the most peaceful things that can be the most pleasant," he said thoughtfully as he walked towards Constance; he could smell a faintly earthy scent of his own arousal as well as the subtle honey-peach scent of Constance's arousal. He sighed as he tossed off his vest, as he noticed a thin scar where the fox's scimitar had sliced him as well as a few other thin scars. Man, I have a feeling things are going to get brutal soon, he thought, unsure why he sensed it.

Lorcán tilted his head with interest as they walked towards the Abbey. "I can say that even as strong as I am in some ways, admittedly, I am lacking in others... such as social confidence... and frankly, for a while, I thought of you much like an angel out of reach," he said quietly.

"Hmm, you are such a wonderful brother and uncle," Merida said with a smile as she walked past the two of them. She knew that if the roles had been reversed, Kasumi would have done the same thing. ~~~~~ Constance moved towards Merrick as he came towards her. She saw the scars on his chest as he threw off his vest and frowned a little. She reached her hands out, touching them gently. "I wish I could have been faster to help you," she said softly as she looked up at him. Just that simple touch, and she could feel the connection, the spark between them. ~~~~~ Cassandra slipped her hand into Lorcan's. "For you, I was never out of reach," she said softly. "I just..didn't know how to express my feelings. That is one thing I am not very good at. Oh I can talk to people, make them feel welcome...but expressing my feelings to others...I just can't."

Kasumi saw Naruto shrug out of the corner of his eye. "I watch out for family, regardless of whether they're mine or a certain redhead's," he said with a chuckle as he pushed off, clinging halfway up the eleven foot wall like a spider.

Merrick shrugged, though he shivered slightly at Constance's touch. "Just because I got a few cuts doesn't mean anything... besides, had you reacted any more subtly than you had... well, let's just say it wouldn't have been anywhere near as a 'calm' of an ending," he said quietly. He was certain that had Constance not shown up... it would have gotten extremely bloody and ugly in a way Freddy Krueger would have probably enjoyed.

Lorcán cocked an eyebrow. "Seems when it comes to social interaction, we're both like birds, constantly on the move and yet unaware of what is directly around us," he said quietly. He knew that Cassandra knew that some species of birds mated for life, and frankly, that was how he felt: complete.

Merida watched Naruto as he clung to the wall before turning her gaze to Kasumi. She really didn't know what to say so she just continued walking. Sometimes one didn't need to speak. Sometimes only silence was needed. ----- Constance chuckled softly and shook her head. "I think that if you hadn't told me you were okay, things would have not ended on such a calm note." She looked up into his face. "I hate to see you hurt. I hate to see any of my family hurt." Constance knew she needed help controlling the anger that came when someone she loved was hurt, but all she wanted to do was be with Merrick right now. Learning to reign in the anger and power could wait just a little while. ------ Cassandra smiled as Lorcan compared them to birds. Some birds mated for life, and that was how long she planned to be with Lorcan: forever. As long as he wanted her that long, and she was fairly sure he did. "Well we will have to make sure not to get too wrapped up in each other. Otherwise our friends may miss us," she teased lightly.

Kasumi rolled her eyes before she shrugged, watching her brother clamber up the wall. "It's funny that if people knew what was already within them yet dormant, they'd be able in many ways, to make some Marvel characters jealous," she sighed.

Merrick shuddered slightly as he felt his body shifting subtly, deep golden amber fur forming over his skin as his body gained a bit of muscle as he took a more animalistic form unconsciously. "They got off extremely lightly... they are fortunate, for the moment, he said in a slightly deeper and slightly growling voice as he heard the soft rip as his pants parted from the shift in his muscular form, exposing his full body beneath as the boxers he wore were barely holding on.

Lorcán chuckled. "What's wrong with 'nesting pleasure'? We can always enjoy each other in more subtle ways," he said quietly.
