My advice for Pokefans in the guild: Learn how to switch more, or, rather, safely switch. :3
That said, I'm not terribly fond of Gyrados even if he hits hard. The Water/Flying typing hurts a lot, though it's capable of silencing a team that doesn't run a Thunder-type attack.
By the by, for the people who battled me. Should I switch my Clefable to have Seismic Toss instead of Ice Beam? Just realised that the Seismic Toss damage would be more consistent, and she isn't EV trained for attack at all, as many of you might've noticed.

Usually, for EV training, I keep them in the Daycare until they're level 20 before starting EV training if I can help it. Helps beating all those weak Pokémon at the start, and gets you closer to finishing EV training when you need those last few points.
Edit: Again, Hoshi, check Bulbapedia. It lists what Pokémon give out what EVs. Arc: Or Serebii. Either or would work just fine for finding out learned moves, tm and hm's, egg moves, all kinds of fun stuff.

Hoshioni where do you train for attack and spcecial attack? Ugh...nevermind, I only know defense and special defense I think. sweatdrop I mite try Lin's way of doing it. Use the daycare to my advantage to have those earlier struggles gone and done with. Finally I can use the daycare for something other than breeding. xd

For attack, look for Sentret, Spinarak.
For special attack, Psyduck
but if you're looking for both at the same time, Unown
Linny: I usually start from level 1, and have them at the lead of the team...that method nets them the full EV amount still, and keeps them alive
