My dad..uh...enrolled in a writing class after he'd already written two books.
He almost published them...I'm not quite sure what stopped him. Hmmm...And he...uh...eats ketchup on everything!
Yeah!...But I'm most definately -not- adopted...too many of my traits fall uncomfortably close to the family tree.

sister's bf (who writes book reviews for the newspaper i might add):

Sounds like the kettle calling the pot "black" to me. Er no wait...it's the pot calling the kettle "black?"
Now why should that saying still make sense?
Our kettle is a nice shiny chrome, while our pots are a lovely dark green. So either one calling the other "black" simply sounds ridiculous.
...I've found many "old sayings" are cracked up...*shrugs*

Thanks mercy and lucca. I think the new gaian hairs are much better than my own work, it gives me something to strive towards. I'm a perfectionist, hence I spend days on avatars and too long getting everything JUST right. if I was more speedy and less striving, I'd be cool and make more stuff like this
