"Do not fear Miluiel." Azrael said. "They would never attack a member of my clan, or one in our presence as we have long asserted our dominance in the forest." He said reassuringly. "And besides you have already got me. You have already tamed the more ferocious beast. And they won't stay long, they are mothers who are here to feed their pups. Males are too stubborn to accept our consideration. So any aggression is on a defensive standpoint, as they are simply watching out for their young, and are as edgy as you are." Azrael said hold her tightly to himself. He took brought the two inside, and after passing by the two totems that guarded the entrance, the interior of the building could be seen. Two long tables were set up, and third shorter table that was perpendicular to the other two was set up at the other end. There were no chairs, and all of tables were set up very low to the ground as werewolves knelt or sat on the floor while eating, and did not have the training or manual dexterity for the intricacies of a chair. Piles of meat were on each table, roughly cut pieces of both raw and cooked meat predominated, and a few large bowls of dried berries and fruits as well a few. Crude glasses were available for a large tub of water waiting at the center of the room, or a large keg that produced a strange very strong drink. Azrael brought his group to smaller table at the end, the Alpha's Seat, as it was called, and put Shinn down, There were already many in attendance, though he was still waiting on other guests and families who were out handling decoration and other things. "We will wait a bit, as hard as it might be to do... Oh, it is good to smell fresh meat again!" Azrael said as he sat down.

Shinn licked his lips at all of the food set out on the table, and his tummy growled loudly. Shinn however followed his father's example and sat down next to him and Miluiel.

Yurogonath looked into the village rom deep in the forest with a grin. Ah... so they are all celebrating. I can get to Navarro without interference. He thought. But I will have some fun with these savages in due time. Oh, do I relish the sensation of fur sliding down my throat. He thought ravenously at the smell of all the werewolves.

Miluiel watched Azrael when he spoke. She trusted him, she knew that the wolves would not hurt her, he wouldn't let them. "Dear, I do not think I have tamed you. You are still a wild spirit. That is something that will never change, I am sure of it." She rubbed his arm gently smiling. She watched them again, but with a new image. "Azrael they are just hungry mothers and pups. That is very sad. Will they have more food now?" she asked her heart softening for them. Miluiel laughed softly, she tried to imagine a male wolf and herself, both on edge and staring into the others eyes. Around Azrael her world opened up. She was learning about more than she knew locked within the confines of her home in the elf land. She knew half the story, and she would read it to them, they knew the other half and read to her.

Miluiel looked up at the great poles that lined the entrance of this great room. Again upon entering she hesitated when she saw all of the wolves. Her sense told her to run again. She nibbled nervously on her lip, but remind close to Azrael. She didn't want to leave his side. All logic told her to run, and to run quickly. She tried to break her mind from the werewolves and she tried to look at the food. There was a variety of meats, that lightened her mood slightly. She found it rather humorous. She noticed the fruits, and was very happy to see the large bowls of them.

Miluiel followed Azrael, she hesitated before kneeling beside him. She didn't want to be separated from him. Only his body beside her kept her outwardly calm. Her complexion had paled a bit and she was breathing a bit quicker than usual. She could not get the thought about her people out of her mind just yet. She scooted over to allow Shinn to sit beside them, but Shinn didn't have the same soothing effect that Azrael had. It was where Shinn belonged all the same. She smiled at Shinn. She reached out to take his small hand in her larger hand. She hoped he wouldn't notice them shaking.

Tanis carried Helena into the great room that Azrael, Miluiel and the pup had disappeared into. He looked around the great room, counting the number of wolves. He shivered and walked off to the side of the large group. He was looking for a secluded seat where he wouldn't be sitting beside the werewolves. The elf knew what had happened to Miluiel. He watched her thoughtfully, noticing the signs of fear within her. How could she not be fearful. "Where should we said Helena my dear?" he asked her smiling down at her in his arms.

Shinn saw his friend Izual enter the hall and saw him wave to him. Shinn waved back and looked up to Azrael. "Opau, can I sit with Izual, please?" He asked him.

Azrael though for a moment and then nodded. "I don't see why not." He said with a smile. "But you must, behave and if a speech is being given, you will sit quietly and listen respectfully. Understood?" He told him. Shinn nodded, gave Miluiel a quick lick and bounded off to join his friend, taking his prize catch with him. Azrael moved closer to Miluiel and held her close to him gently. "Are you alright, Miluiel?" He asked. "I don't want you to be uncomfortable." Azrael looked at her passionately. "I know this must feel strange to you, but if it is any consolation, I'd probably be quite uncomfortable if you were taking me to an elf celebration. Other cultures tend to look on us a savages, which in some sense they may be right, but we do have our values and laws of our own. Its not really a civilization, but we don't really want something like that, as we are the least populous race of the world. We just want a home, and we have found one here."

Miluiel lay against Azrael, being so close to him was reassuring. She watched Shinn join his friend and she smiled at him watching the other pup's parent's eyes pass over them. A look of confusion and interest there. She snuggled closer to Azrael. "I am." she said softly looking around the room. "I am alright. Azrael, it is a bit uncomfortable, but I will get use to it, alright? Do not worry. As you say you would be nervous around my people too. It is much better when you are with me. I will grow to know your customs, and then it will be better, it is only my first time dear." she whispered softly.

"True... the first time is certainly the hardest, I suppose. You must adapt to your environment, I guess." Azrael said softly. As a few more settled in he relaxed. "I am only waiting on a few more." He told Miluiel. "Most of pack will be in here, with the exception of the scouts. We must be vigilant in the wild after all." He told her. "Not that I'm worried but after two attacks... taking risks is a bad idea." He sat back and looked to the other end of the table they were sitting at, and saw three werewolves sit down. They had a very distinct, almost regal posture and bearing, and the hardening of years in the wild with them. They were elders, differentiated from other werewolves by large half-cloaks with hoods thrown back. The one in the center who seemed to be in charge was female with dark gray and brown fur. She smiled at Azrael respectful toward the one they acknowledged as their leader, and a curious nod to Miluiel, noting that she was the one that Azrael was making a member of the pack and would be bonded with on the next day. She turned her attention back to the entrance. Azrael rubbed Miluiel's shoulder gently and calmingly.

Miluiel smiled at Azrael, even his presence didn't calm her trembling insides. She closed her hands into fists which she placed on her lap. She smiled at those around her. "No, risks are not good." She looked around. "I don't see Shera here, nor do I see Celeron. Helena and Tanis are here though." She waved to them smiling. "They look lost." Miluiel straightened up in her posture. She felt moved to do so before these three wolves. She glanced at them, but tried not to look directly at them. A smile fluttered over her lips, but it didn't sooth her nerves. Miluiel blinked and looked up at Azrael and smiled hopefully at him.

Shera nodded to Celeron. “I flew to you a bit during the battle with Ruby the first time. It was hard but I flew a little. I am not sure if they are ready for us or not though. I am hoping they are ready to have us in there.”

“I think we can sit over there, though I am not sure.” Helena wasn’t sure of much as she said this. Her voice spotted Miluiel sitting near Azrael, but she looked nervous.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 06, 2009 1:27 pm

Azrael smiled to Miluiel and gave her a quick kiss. "I am sorry that you are so nervous... I guess I didn't think enough about that, and I am sorry." Azrael also saw Helena and Tanis and gave a discreet wave over to them, gesturing a secluded spot nearly hidden behind a totem at an empty end of the table that Azrael and Miluiel were seated at. Azrael called to a young male werewolf, who immediately came to him and made gestures of respect to the clan leader. "If you would please find the two angels who are the Guests of Honor, and tell them that they may come if they are ready, Jerec." He said. The werewolf nodded and dashed off to go find them.

The young, gray furred male went searching for the angels that Azrael told him of and eventually did find them. "Excuse me, Le'almaisho and Ruo'Makel." He told them. "But the Alpha is waiting for you in the Honor Hall." He bowed his head, though he wanted genuinely to examine the one called Shera, who had saved the forest.

"Don't be sorry." Mileuil said, "It is alright, what are we without fear? Please don't be stressing out over it. I don't want you nervous or upset." She smiled at him. "Alright? Are you alright?" she whispered.

Tanis bowed as best as he could to Azrael, and nodded his thanks. He walked to the empty spot and sat down. "How would you like to be sitting Helena?" Tanis asked.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 06, 2009 1:59 pm

Azrael sighed happily. "Yes, I am alright." He whispered back softly. "Fear does help teach us caution and patience. Oh, dear... I do hope that Shera and Celeron get here soon... I want to make give the words of Honor and Celebration so we can eat... I am happy my stomach is not complaining too loudly." He said blinking a few times, but keeping himself the picture of calm and knowledge externally.

Mazzia and Veral were sitting up and she was leaning on his shoulder. "67 years... in a coma?" She was saying, as he was talking about his life. "That must have been rough when you awoke. Humans don't have long life spans." She said gently.

Veral nodded. "The people that found me were shocked when they found my deathbed in the sub-basement. When I awoke they were very polite, but it would have been unfair of me to tax on their money. They had just paid off the house, and were trying to get advancement in their lives." He said.

Suddenly Yurogonath was standing against the frame of the entrance smirking at the two. Mazzia stood up angrily and yelled. "Who are you?!" She demanded. "You have no permission to be in family's house!" She stomped.

Yurogonath grinned and walked into the room. "A little rude I would say... but then again, werewolves were only good for eating." He said, his silver hair swaying.

Veral stood up in front Mazzia defensively, though we has still weak from recovery.

"I hope they will come soon as well." Miluiel said. She wrapped her arms aroudn him and rubbed his back. "Your belly will have food soon, I am sure." She laughed softly smiling at him. She looked around the room. "Um, Azrael, could you tell me who they are?" she asked. "I need to learn them sooner or later." Her ears twitched. She looked around in slight annoyance, but shrugged it off.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 06, 2009 2:22 pm

"Oh, yes. How forgetful of me." Azrael said in apology. "Those three are the Elders. The ones who observe the pack and perform the rituals. These will be the ones who will be bonding us in marriage tomorrow." He said softly.

Yurogonath laughed. "Oh, you were always the rambunctious one, Nevarro. And you always choose the most lowly of witches to consort with. This earned a very loud growl from Mazzia, but he ignored her. "But I digress. We're going to finish our little war, once and for all."

"I don't know who your talking about!" Veral shouted. "And I'm going to let you leave now and never come back. And I am strongly recommending that you take the offer while you can." Veral said.

Yurogonath chuckled. "You really don't know who you are, do you?" He said shaking his head. "But you won't be escaping from me. Death will no longer serve as your safe house! I rule the grave now, and I will soon have the earth, and that soon afterward. I will destroy you once and for all." Yurogonath smiled. "Or.... you can succumb to me. Bow to me, abase yourself before me and I shall place you above any ruler, mortal or not. You can have unimaginable power. All you have to do... if bow and say that the Yurogonath is your master." He said.

Veral snarled and swiped with his hand. "No!" He said, without thinking. "You will leave now!" He said, energy flowing around him.

"The one in the middle seems nice enough." Miluiel commented looking at the female. "That will be quite exciting." She smiled at Azrael, "Will they be taking me into the pack too? When will that happen?" Miluiel twitched, her was feeling even more nervous now. She shifted her weight where she sat and looked again around the room. "Azrael, how long until we begin, do we have time for a walk?" she asked blushing.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 06, 2009 3:18 pm

"You will be taken into the pack by them during the feast." Azrael said to her softly. He sighed very deeply. "I would like a walk myself, but it looks like I will have to give the Words now so the others can eat. I am sorry. We can walk later, to lighten ourselves of the food that will be in out bellies." He said. "I will give my statements now, and introduce Shera when she arrives." He sighed and stood up, giving Miluiel a quick squeeze to ask for patience.

Azrael raised his head in howl that brought the attention of the room on him. Once all eyes and ears were on him, as well as distinctively off of Miluiel, which he hoped would ease Miluiel's nervousness for a few moments while he spoke. "My Brothers and Sisters.... My pack that has sought me to be leader of the Garoh Tribe. We have all endured a harsh winter. A Cooling Season that brought with it not only the yearly flight of the birds... but the flight of the other animals with it, and the death of our beloved trees." Azrael paused for a moment to let his message sink into the silence of the room. "Many of us, including myself, have wondered what our future would be with the trees gone. We have all wondered whether the animals would come back. Whether we would have to fight with the Little Brothers for what remained of the food, or even turn upon the Little Brothers for food, giving into despair and throwing aside our principles and turning away from the will of the Moon Father. Many have considered flight from our home, while at the same time worrying about where we go, and who would accept us. Those who had figured on dying in our ancestral home have wondered what would be become of the forest. Would the forest fall into final decay, a graveyard for our hopes, lives and dreams? Or would the Blight claim claim our home, making our forest a mockery of its former beauty, garish in its falsely revived colors, yet so deadly a mere stick could kill a fully grown adult?" He gave another pause looking around, briefly seeing Shinn in the large group seated at the two long tables, looking back at him in wonder. "But no! Our faith and our hopes have prevailed. The Great Mother heard of our plight. Of all the troubles in this world, The Great Mother sent a savior to us. A savior that revived the forest, our home, and acted in the interest of others to fend off two foul demons who sought only to make trouble and harm toward others, and through the combined efforts of others, defeated them! We have not just Shera to thank the Great Mother for sending, our other guests have worked as they could to help rids us of that threat, and have made our home a safer place. A place where our children can once again play and learn in. A place where we can hunt for the food we use for survival, and a place where the animals that so graciously allow us hunt them can reproduce so that we have bountiful food. My Brothers and Sisters... Our Forest has been revived! This night is to celebrate that Revival of our forest, and to celebrate the hope of new life and the return of the animals to our home! This celebration for our hopes! For our hopes and dreams, we give our thanks to the Moon Father, whose whispering has kept our faith even in the darkest moonless night. And Thanks especially to the Great Mother for sending saviors to our home in our time of need!" Azrael raised his head high and howled and throughout the room all of the werewolves took up the howl with great enthusiasm, with renenwed spirit.

Azrael finished his speech and gave a gesture calm. "May the feast of the Revival begin and be watched over by the spirits!" He said. Before he sat down, the female Elder stood.

"Before we begin, Magro'Degarash." She said to Azrael. "I would like to take this time to introduce a special attendee to our feast. A person who will be joining us, in our home." She looked at Miluiel calmly and gently, very reassuringly. "Miluiel... will you please stand?" She asked her.

Miluiel smiled admiringly up at Azrael. She found that having the eyes of his society off her helped greatly. She watched him speaking so strongly. It amazed her. When he sat down she placed her hand on his arm. "That was a beautiful speech my dear." She smiled warmly at him. "Very touching." Her smile faded when she heard the elder speak her name. Her skin was instantly pale. Hesitantly she stood up. She looked toward the Elder. She bowed to her. "Yes ma'am." she said softly, her voice shaking. Her hands were clasped together before her, and she was sure she was going to be sick.
