Tyson stopped for a second, his eyes glancing around as an aroma took over the air. "We should go through this path a little quicker," he tol Nessa as her horse came next to his. "I would prefer to take it on foot, if we could, but the horses would not cooperate."
Nessa took a wiff of the air. "It does not smell like anything Orckish," she proclaimed.
"No, but we still would not prefer to encounter anyone out here," Tyson continued as he pushed his horse back into a steady gaint.

Van gave a quick dry to his body with the lower part of his fresh robes then put them on, so the bottom part near his feet soaked most of the bulk of the water. With his new brown robes on he headed back to camp, which was easier than he expected due to the fragrance of cooked meat. It was only a few minuits untill he was back in the small clearing. Elrothiel had just removed the strips of meat from above the fire so van sat on a somewhat flat rock near where his hammock was, digging thru his bag looking for a skewer.

[Sorry I took so long to reply.]
Ranu lowered his head, "I am truly sorry for such a loss to the world." He murmered, then re-raised his head to look around.
He didn't bother with sleep that night. He just sat awake, humming songs from his native frozen homeland. He only paused when he caught sight of the camp waking up, and that was only to give himself a moments rest, before humming again.

Elrothiel suddenly frowned and lifted her head. "Can you hear horses?" she asked quietly, and quickly smothered the fire. It was lucky the meat was already cooked as she was doing her best to suppress the slightly obvious wisps of smoke.

Nessa's horse tugged at the reigns, leaving her to hold the tightly. The horse still jerked, making her wrist feel like it would pop out of place as he halted. "Shhh... calm down," she instructed the horse in a whisper as she patted the horse on the side. The horse threw it head and let out a snort. She kicked the horse a little faster to catch up to Tyson who kept riding on. The horses' hovves made a bit more of a louder sound than she would have liked as the smell of smoke and food took over the air. No flame was in sight, but then, of course, such things were hard to spot in the daylight, even in the shade of the forest.

Frowning, Ranu turnt his head slightly and closed his eyes, while drawing in a breath. "I think so" He replied in a undertone, then re-opened his eyes and let out a very soft sigh.

Van tried to listen but his lack of hearing didnt bring a noise to his ears. But he would trust an elfs ears any day over his own. Regardless, van set his was of meat, now on a skewer on his bag, and grabbed his spear from off his back, tighting his grip on the white cloath that wrapped around where he kept his hands.

Elrothiel rose from her seat, drawing Naraithas as she stood up. "Always during breakfast..." she muttered, as after one longing glance at the meat, she moved forwards slowly, following the sounds of the horse.

Van took a cautious step toards Elrothiel, then another, to where he was by her side. 'Who is it you fear that makes you take to arms? The orcs dont ride horses, and they are the only ones I know of that this group is so keen on fighting?' He asked softy so only she could hear.

Tyson slowed his horse down to a rested trot as he looked around and listened as the horses' hooves were very light now. They would be harder to track, but at a slower gaint, they would be easier to catch up to. "Keep yourself quiet," Tyson instructed Nessa as her horse rode closer to his.
Nessa nodded simply as she gripped the leather reigns tighter in her left hand and kept her free hand rested on her sword.

She gave Van a small smile. "My father used to tell me 'Always be prepared'," she muttered, "chances are that they are armed as well. I don't want to give them any advantages over us, especially if they already know we're here. Besides, I don't want to risk any more of us getting hurt."

Rising back to his feet, Ranu stopped humming. His hand strayed to his sword, and he watched the elf intently. If she said there was trouble, then for all Ranu cared, the army of Rohan could be coming, but Ranu'd still see them as trouble.

Van nodded to Elrothiel. But he still didnt get why they were so jumpy, he wasnt even shure why he had taken to arms either. It was obvious if they were riding horses that they wer'nt orcs, which left humans,dwarves, and elves. And dwarves didnt ride, that leaves them out. And if it were elves, then they probably wouldnt attack their own kind and humans get along with elves and the party also had humans....Van decided not to think about it, the point was, Elrothiel felt they needed to take arms, and and her intuition was probably alot higher than his, so he went with it.

Tyson slowed his horse again now down to a working walk. He kept his emerald eyes forward, not wanting to worry about whatever has caused the smell of smoke. If it was only travelers, they could easily ride ahead without trouble. The air did not reack of the orcs, so that could be ruled out.
Nessa tapped her fingertips on the top of the pomel of her sword as she too slowed her horse down without a word. She trusted Tyson in his instincts leaving her able to take a relazing breath as she felt they were far enough from the aparent camp.
