Static Imp Proudly_Jewish ...you have conquered the impossible - you can speak Russian perfectly. NOT TRUE! It's possible to speak Russian perfectly, even if it's not your mother tongue. I've yet to see/hear/etc anybody who wasn't raised with Russian use the language perfectly 100% of the time (including the accent and all). Heck, half the kids I know who have been raised with Russian can barely even speak it...

You know you're obssessed with languages when you sing along to your favourite CDs for hours, and none of them are in your native tongue. I'm very guilty of this...

...when you temporarily lose your ability to sing in a higher pitch because of singing the low pitched tone of Till Lindemann. Believe me, after a long time imitating his voice, I couldn't go high for at least two days. surprised

Rioto_Kish You know you're obssessed with languages when you sing along to your favourite CDs for hours, and none of them are in your native tongue. I'm very guilty of this... That's me, except that it's my mp3s. (Well, at least technically. English isn't my native language.) Kokoroki I went from Math 7 to Pre-algebra to Algebra applied to Algebra and now to Geometry and I've decided that this is going to be my last year in math I was in resource math for the longest time crying crying I find that system confusing. I've never been to any school where it works that way. We just have maths (although we do have different levels) that includes some of each thing, not each topic as a separate course.

Math was easy as pie for me. Up until I reached Algebra 2. ninja But miraculously, I passed it...
But the others were a breeze, especially Geometry. Despite our teacher whom everyone hated, I still liked the class.

Kokoroki ...when you can no longer do any form of math anymore I'm still good at maths, but not as good as I used to be. There's nothing more ironic than having a talent for something you find infinitely dull. gonk

It's like meditation somehow. biggrin And I think it's nice to have a talent for it, even if I don't like a subject. It makes things a lot easier.
