((Sorry, fellas. No good excuse.))
Moria had the lead, and an odd advantage; apparently she was a faster runner than Link, if only by a bit. A board broke under her weight, but she was light enough to pick her foot up and plant it again before it became an issue. Now the wooden pillars holding the place up were snapping, and the tunnel was turning away from the intact portion. With a yell, Moria made her jump, and only caught onto the far side by her fingertips. A moment's struggle later and she was further up. Link then made his jump, carrying Zelda with him, but he had one free hand only; his catch wasn't as good and his hand almost instantly began slipping, threatening to send him to an inexorable doom. Then, suddenly, Moria grabbed his hand; she had gotten to her feet and somehow found the strength to, if not pull them up, keep them where they were - for the moment. There was no telling how long she could hold on the way she was.

(Very good use of character control ^_^)
"Zelda, I'm not sure how long she can hold us. You're going to ned to hold onto me so I can pull us up," Link was sure that under normal circumstances, the girl would have already realized this simple fact, but for the time being, the calm collected Princess Zelda he knew seem to be off on another planet, replaced by the panicky girl whose hand he was holding onto with all his might.

Zelda might have taken offense at his soothing, almost condescending tone if the situation had been a bit less serious. As things were, she just used her free arm to grab onto the closest bit of Link she could get a grip on, which happened to be his ankle. As soon as she was certain she had a good hold she let go of his hand and grabbed his other ankle with her other hand. If she'd been thinking a bit more clearly, she might have mentioned something about the possibility of lifting them both back up magically if something went wrong, but with one thing and another at that particular moment she'd quite forgotten that this was a possibility.

"C'mon - I can't... hold you much... longer," Moria panted. Beads of sweat were forming on her brow, and her grip was loosening; two adults was more weight than she could carry.

Link looked down at the girl holding onto his ankle for a moment before swinging his arm up to the ledge. As a princess, he doubted that she ever would have had experience at anything like this and wanted to make sure she was safe. Admittedly he had never ben in this situation before either, but at least he was strong and knew how to handle himself. He highly doubted that the life of royalty ever lead to beinng tossed off a horse or any form of heavy lifting. Slowly Link pulled himself to the ledge, struggling to pull almost twice his weight. With one leg up and the tother dangling below, Link once again reached out his hand to the girl.

Zelda immediately reached up and caught it, then reached out and grabbed onto the ledge as well. She pulled herself up and got to her feet, all within the space of a few seconds. After a considering second, she sank down to the ground again, letting the air out of her lungs in one giant 'whoosh'.

Moria, upon having Link let her hand go, stumbled backwards and collapsed to the ground, breathing heavily but clearly relieved. "Let's... spend a moment... here to catch... our breath," she panted, wiping her forehead with the back of a hand.

"The longer we wait, the further away that man will get to," Link responded, but still, his arms seemed to be agreeing, "So we'll only rest a minute."

Gustave sighed, "Man... if only I was able to turn back to normal..." He muttered, and flew towards Zelda's shoulder...

Zelda smiled wearily at the tiny fairy. "Don't worry, Gus. We wouldn't have even gotten into the temple if it wasn't for your current form." She sighed, closing her eyes as her heartbeat slowed towards it's normal rhythm. "I suppose," she said quietly, "We'll just have to hope there is another way back."

Gustve smiled, and nodded, "Yeah, I guess you're right, Zelda..." He said, and sighed hopefully. "And... There MUST be a way back."

"I agree, if anything, thuis trap just makes me more confident we picked the right door," Link nodded in agreement. "Alright, time to get moving."

"I don't think that was supposed to happen the way it did," Moria said suddenly. She had been staring out at the entirely fallen section of the walkway. The floor was broken off at a board, and was perfectly clean, while the walls were cracked and splintered - destroyed. "It wasn't supposed to destroy itself, and the wall would probably have been tipped over to become the floor again until it could be repaired." How Moria knew this was uncertain, but it was pretty clear she was right. Moria shook her head and stood; her heart had stopped beating like a drum, and she could walk steadily again.
Down the path they went, Link leading again, until they reached the door at the end. In between the fallen section and the door, the feeling of moving went away, and their feet were finally steady again. Moria gestured to the door. "Care to investigate?" she asked.

"Fine, just stay behind me, we don't want a repeat of what happened before," Link replied, thinking back to the earlier attack. Slightly hesitant, he grabbed the nob and slowly turned.
