"Well, it's already starting to get dark and I won't make you stay t an inn. So, I'll offer you a place in the sleep in the castle tonight. How does that sound?" Black asked her. Though honestly it did sound suggestive, he was trying to be nice.

"In all honesty, I thought I'd be outa here by now. If it's no trouble, I wouldn't mind staying there." Sarah knew what he wanted, but at this point she didn't care. Hardly wearing anything, she did up her long coat in an effort to try and stay at least a little warm.

"If it was any trouble, I wouldn't have offered it now, would I?" Black asked as he walked her inside. The first room they would pass is the main hall where the Queen's throne sat in all its glory. Next they would be heading down the halls to the living quarters. It would lead them down an even more elaborate hallway and then finally to his room.
With a giant king size bed, he slept very comfortably. He looked to her as they got inside. "There's another room off to the side of here if you want to lay down in there."

The entire walk to his room, she looked at it in amazement. It was massive compared to everywhere she had stayed. Not only was it massive, it was elegant. "Must be nice to have a home," Sarah sighed, looking all about his room. Last bed the poor girl had slept in was a mattress on the floor. And she had been lucky to get that. The inn had been full, but the last drunk she help home, his wife offered her the spare room. Sarah had given them a fair portion of the money she collected from that particular bounty as thanks for letting her stay.
"Home..." She trailed off ash she looked at the large bed.

Paradox was a long ways from the capital. His letter explaining that they had found Mel's body should have reached katherine by now, if not by the morning. The symbol had lead him to the mountains for now. The general looked down the snowy peak. The breeze blew away the icy fog into a billowing mass. His vision cleared. It had been worth a shot, looking in the mountains. So far, I haven't found a thing, except a few bandit holes and an old inn by the name of winter's breeze. he summerized in his head. He hadn't even known there were mountains in Llyr. the general jumped down the slope in amazing bounds of aerodynamics.

Black fell back on to the bed, his upper body was on the bed while his feet were still on the floor. She really was an interesting girl, though she seemed so completely opposite from him. Sarah was a bounty hunter who traveled everywhere while he was an alchemist who traveled nowhere and the only action he ever saw was what happened to the kingdom.
When he heard her say something, he sprang back up to a sitting position. This was his only true home and he wished he could get out more. "Something bothering you? Come sit and tell me."

Slowly Sarah walked over and sat on the bed near him. "Just... you're so lucky to have a home somewhere. To have the security that when you go out somewhere, you have a place to go back to. You don't have the worry of where you're going to sleep every night because you always have a bed waiting for you." Her coat was still fully done up, making it awkward to move while sitting.

'I thought she would have left after her job was done. I'd have given her enough gold to probably buy a decent sized house in the city.' Black thought to himself. As a gesture of kindness, he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and hugged her against him. "Sarah, I'm glad to have met you." He told her, hugging more tightly. "That's why... I'm going to offer you a stay here... if you want. Maybe that or... a house in the city. Whichever you think is better. I think I can convince Katherine for a friend to stay. I'll tell her everything she needs to know. How does that sound?"

'Why does that offer sound so good? Is that really all I'm after is a home?'
The cold metal inside her coat pressed against her skin. "Typically, I sleep on an offer like that before making my choice. I'm sure you know how it is. People need time to think." She was practically melting in his arms.
Last person to hold her was a poor, drunk old man. For a week she took care of him until Sarah found someone else to take over. By chance, it was one of his grandchildren. Nothing yet had topped the hug she got from the old man when she found his family. The one she was getting from Black was close.

"I offer you a home here or a home in the city. I know you said to sleep on it, though I can't stand the thought of a woman having to sleep on the cold ground." Black told her, as then he fully embraced her in a hug. "Sarah, I want to offer up my bed for the night. I'll even sleep in the guest room." He told her and what he said was true. Black truly was a sucker for women and he couldn't deny anyone kindness. Besides, it was part of him now anyway.

As Sarah ran it though her mind, she felt like she did the night her parents where killed. "Wou-would you stay with me tonight?" She fought the tears back hard. The poor girl had forgotten what it was like to be held. And she didn't want him to let go. Despite the bulk hidden in her coat, she curled up in his arms.

Black was suddenly surprised as she hugged him back. A lot of people who he hugged over the past while hadn't even given him the courtesy back. It felt better to feel one back to him. "Of course, Sarah. Anything you want." He said to her just sitting her and letting her get it all out.

"Ow..." She jumped back a bit, something in her coat tasted her flesh. Gingerly, she stood up, undid her coat, and slipped it off her shoulders. It fell to the floor with a muted *thud*. A little bit of blood seeped out of a cut in her side. From where the wound was and how it was shaped, she knew exactly what knife did it. "I really need to be more careful in that thing..." Sarah took her belt off as well, leaving her in her bra, panties, fishnet knee-high stalkings, and her boots. All of her attire now was black.

"Yowch..." Black said as he saw the cut. Jumping down, reached into his medical satchel and pulled out some cotton. With that, he also pulled out a small potion. Dabbing away the blood, he opened the bottle and soaked the other side of the cotton with it. Slowly enough, he washed it over the cut, to sterilize and close the wound. Then when he was all finished, he placed his medical satchel on the table and went back to the bed.
Then when he finally realized what he was looking, his heart skipped a beat and his face grew mighty red. "Sarah... I'm... uh... I'm... sorry..."

"Sorry for what?" Sarah was oblivious to the fact she was mostly naked in front of a man. As this is what she usually wore, she still failed to grasp that she was a young woman that pranced around with no clothes on. "If you're apologizing for the cut, it was my own fault. I carry too much stuff in that damned thing.
Then she realized he was blushing and looking over her body. That brought on a whole new level of awkward.
