I remember the first time I heard about the Pokerus, I was playin gold and my cuz was playin silver. We were sitting in the living room at my grandmas house. Man those were good times. Anyway, out of nowhere my cuz goes "Chris! My Pokemons sick! Nurse Joy said it had a Poke virus!" We were freakin out when it started to soread, I wouldnt even battle him cause I was scared my Pokemon would catch it. Good times. XD

@Jerz: Because I worked all weekend, and on schoolnights i don't wanna goto sleep =-= so I've been functioning on minimal sleep for about 5 days O-o

I keep researching, but the only method that is mentioned is catching a wild Pokemon.
