Kaiser would have met Salenas he watched Lina and her sister standing yards away from each other, one expression cold and almost emotionless while the other was fiery and full of hate. Others had stopped what they were doing just to see how this was going to unfold.
"So the rivalry has come to this..." he said calmly, his sword in hand, "I pray that they will not fight to the death."
"Knowing Malen.." Rike said sadly, "This will be."

"Their will only be one physical weapon of our choice in this fight. The magical power we can use is the one we were born with. Anything else is fine." Lina said, dropping her swords and lettingher old double-edged sword appear in her hands, "As when we were siblings."
"Fine," Malen answered, dropping her guns and calling her own calling her own double-edged sword. She raisedit and smirked, "With that sword in your hands you look even more like a murderer than before. Good I can kill you horribly now." she then charged towards Lina, striking fiercely.
Lina stayed still until Malen began to attack, but all she was doing was blocking...far too much like their mother had done to her, "You can't kill me sister, not with your anger nor with your vengence. You don't understand what went on except that Mother died-"
"No, you killed her and that's all I need to know!" Malen answered, taking a swipe at her legs, "And everyone acted as if that was alright, as if poor Lina couldn't help herself. That's a load of crap and we both know it! You knew what you were doing and you knew that if you continued to search for the Ten, you life would be spared. Clever. Real clever!"she then aimed the staff towards her head.
Lina flipped away from the first attempt, but nearly had her head cut through from the second attempt. As she landed, she saw a lock of her hair fall to the ground. Malen's words had cut deeper than her sword ever would, "No..that is where you are wrong Malen." she said, beginning her own attack now, "I fought Cyra while under a potion that raised my aggression level tenfold." she made a false strike at her stomah only to twist the sword around and flip her right foot from under her, "If mother hadn't freed me...I would have died."
Malen fell backwards, hitting the ground hard. She would have tried to stand up, but Lina's sword stopped her from moving far, "You killed her to become free...that's a worse like than I thought possible from you!" Her hands shot up and a red light flashed into Lina's eyes. Lina backed off as she was blinded and gave Malen just enough time to escape and grab her sword, "Heh...now you're dead. My powers have grown much tronger since I left the family trade...I bet your calm won't work now that you're in my world..."she laughed and raised her sword as she charged towards Lina, but a bright flash of light stopped her and a thick wall of ice surrounded Lina.
"Ice huh.." Malen said, tapping the thick dome, "You won't last long in there Lina...nowhere near long enough for my powers to fade. And once this ice dome melts...you're dead."
Lina barely heard Malen's words for they were all warped in her mind as her eyes, now hazed with red looked all around her, not seeing the ice protecting her, but Malen...everywhere she look there was an image of Malen, a perfect copy in every way.
And all of them were aiming to kill her.

Kaiser watched the proceedings grimly and summoned Remus who arrived shortly after. Kaiser gave him a look and Remus knew not to interfere. Kaiser stood the proper distance to make sure he didn't.

Remus watched as Malen blinded Lina and felt his stomach knot. It was taking every ounce of his strength not to do something. He was frightened that Malen may be freed from her rage the same way Lina had been...

Rike sighed and wanted to stop the fight as soon as Malen blinded Lina, but he knew that it wasn't just mere anger Malen and Lina was dealing with, Kaiser had told him that very clearly. Memories were much more powerful than anything he kenw of and with Malen's illusionary powers...she could make those memories come to life.
Malen laughed, walking around the dome, "You know Lina...you can't tell if I'm even in that dome can you? All you see is an army of my image surounding you..well then I'll make that image worse!" her eyes turned red as sent a waves of her power into the dome.
Lina heard a growing scream as the images of Malen became he rmother instead, the perfec timage of her mother looking at her coldly and shamefully...just as she did before Lina killed her. She suddenly realized it was her own screamm, but she couldn't stop. Even when she closed her eyes the image was there.
"Malen!" Rike called out, staying put, but dying to end the fight as soon as that muffled scream floated through his ears, "You've had you're revenge! Stop this insanity!"
"Oh no Father," Malen said, looking harshly at him, "I won't be done until she is punished for what she did! She kill your wife Rike, my mother, and you just forgave just like that! I knew she was your favorite, but even that should have it's limits!" Malen yelled as angry tears well in her eyes, "She killed my mom and you gave her the family pendant..my mom's pendant...and in that dress, that wedding dress...she looked just like her!" her last words echoed throughout the field just as Malen turn back to the ice dome, "Lina looks like my mom and even acts like her...so why did she have to kill her!"

Kaiser laid a strong hand on Remus's shoulder as Lina began to scream. Memories of the cave began to flash through Remus's mind. He remembered having to watch as she screamed from the ordeal with Aurora and being helpless. He was back again, and hating it.

Rike watched at Malen began to cut through the ice, the large chunk's that fell off a clear indication that Lina's mental strength was weakening. The power over ice is something finely tuned to how strong a person willpower is. Rike thought as she looked on, If your will is weak, then your ice will be the same, but if it is strong..almost nothing can break it.
"Oh Lina..." Rike said, looking down, "Bringing the pendant here...was a mistake."
Lina fell against the ice as she tried to back away from the her mother, her eyes wide as the cold surface touched her skin. It was so cold...like the pendant.
"Your mother wasn't able to give this to you, but I'm sure she would say you deserve it. You've done enough in proving you truly are worthy of it."
"Mother..." Lina's eyes snapped open as her mother face still watched her, "I-I'm sorry.." she said as she raised the sword and cut into her legs. She cried out as the pain flooded her senses and the cold ice melded with it until all the clear yet solid surface of the ice was all she saw. Lina looked down at the cooling blood on her legs and forced herself up, th sound of the ice breaking making her turn and slash at it until she met Malen.
She yelled as she attacked the girl, forcing her backwards until finally Malen fell once again. Lina dropped her weapon, but did stop there. She continued her yell, going ontop of her and sending punch and punch towards her, her hair flying around her as she did so.
Rike could barely believe what he was seeing, but now he couldn't hold himself and he ran towards them, pulling the screaming the Lina off of her sister. Malen slowly stood up, and moved towards her guns, lifting on up and aiming towards Lina.
"Malen.." Rike said, his face grim, "It's over."
Malen shoulder's shook but she held her aim, "No..it can't be..."
"You broke her Malen. It's over."
"No, Mom wouldn't never give up like that!"
"She isn't your mom. And neither are you." Rike answered, moving towards Malen and forcing the gun from her before embracing her, "It's over."

Kaiser finally let go of Remus. It was over.

Remus took off towards Lina as soon as Kaiser's hand lifted. He was beside her before he knew what had happened. "Lina, you need to see a doctor about your legs." Remus was lost for words. He couldn't process everything that had happened. Rike's words echoed through his mind and they frightened him.
You broke her Malen. It's over...

Lina held onto Remus tightly, crying her yells becoming cries of pain and anguish as she held onto him, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry..." she repeated those words over and over and was practically shaking. Thsi was not the Lina the Lotus members knew, not the ever calm leader that they could rely own, but even a leader must have a weak moment.
No one is perfect.
Rike held onto Malen as the girl tried to fight, her tears finally flowing until she collasped in his arms from sheer exhaustion. Years and years of hatred and hurt had been released on this day. It would take a while her for to even comprehend the weight lifted off her chest.
"Bring them both to the Infirmary immediately!" Solan said quickly taken charge as the members just stared, "What are you waiting for?! Your Leader is injured!" he snapped before hurrying towards the Infirmary.

Remus gently picked Lina up as he shifted to his hybrid form. He did his best not to cause her pain as he did so. He held her as close to him as he could, letting the warmth of his fur do what it could. The blood from her legs mingled with his fur. He moved towards the infirmary and reached it shortly after Salen. "Lina, calm yourself... it's alright... everything is alright now..." He laid her on a table and held her hand. He turned slightly to Salen. "Before you snap at me like that again, remember that she is more than a leader to me..."

Salen looked at him for a moment before saying, "I am sory, but I was speaking more to the others than you. The base needs to be active even with our Leader injured as it is." he turned towards the entrance as he said, "Remember, that she is more to us than a leader too.."
Rike brought Malen in soon after, placing her on the cot next to Lina. She was unconcious from her own bout of crying and Rike's magic, "Although it doesn't seem like it now," Rike said after a moment as he watched the doctors tend to their wounds, "But they needed this to happen." he patted Remus' shoulder before walking to Kaiser.

Kaiser nodded to his friend as Rike approached. "I'm not sure which of the four of you was hurt most by that." Kaiser sighed heavily. "You had to watch your daughters attempt to inflict terrible pain upon each other, Lina has suffered her nightmares far more than she should have, Malen will likely come to terms with the fact that she just committed the very crime she accused of Lina, and Remus had to watch the woman he loves suffer." Kaiser closed his eyes and leaned against a wall. He looked very tired and worn. "I'm still just grateful no one left this plane before it was their time."

Rike slumped against the wall, looking very much deflated, "I've had enough action from this place. That wedding better be filled with so much peace that I could float on a cloud." he murmured before looking towards the infirmary, "Now I remember why I left this city. It never let's you be happy for long."

Kaiser's voice took on a rare quality of warmth and thoughtfullness. "Perhaps you're right. However, I think that as long as you know where to look, happiness can be found anywhere." He looked at Lina and Remus as he spoke. "How else can the two of them have survived this long?"

Rike followed his gaze amd smirked before saying, "They are either in love or insane." he replied with a small chuckle, "But you have to be insane to be in love I guess. Come on Kaiser, I think I shall show you the good side of Signet," he said, wrapping and arm around him, "Ever been to a club?"

Kaiser let out his first real laugh since he'd arrived in Signet. "No, I can't say that I have."

Remus hadn't moved since they arrived in the infirmirary, and he thanked the doctors as they finished their work. They nodded and smiled before moving away. Remus felt his eyelids growing heavy as the andrenaline release from the previous excitement caught up with him. He fell asleep, still holding Lina's hand.
