It's actually not unlike the belief system of some Asian Monks, if I recall.

At least, that's what they based the Force off of.

I hate school.

Actually, I love 3/4 of my classes.

But it's the one I hate that makes school suck for me. And it's an English class. But I'm NOT LEARNING ANYTHING NEW.

I stopped learning anything from school as far as English goes by about 6th grade. I picked up some nice exam writing tips in Research Seminar in 11th grade, but as of thus far, my personal writing style seems to very much appeal to my professors which gives me no reason to depart from it.

Furthermore, I'd apologize for my lack of postage, but as of current, Oblivion and my girlfriend are monopolizing my leisure time.

P.S. They are both very pretty.

Bonkers that would be amazing! LOL Yeah, I know what you guys mean about english. It's a pretty redundant class... I see it in another light though! That's the class I use to BS my way into not doing any actual work. Believe me, when you've got a class of morons (Bonkers and a few others excluded) and a student teacher who's eager to gain acceptance, you can manipulate the hell out of a 90 minute class. We've managed to squeeze 45 minutes of those classes discussing small things like whether or not the cat in Edgar Allen Poe's 'The Black Cat' was simply a hallucination inspired by drink or not. With a few choice words we can make the class believe that this idea changes the whole effect of the short story, as a result, nothing gets done because we are spending all our time discussing the inconsequencial. It's beautiful.

What I can't grasp though is the North American desire to spark an interest in reading in our youth. What is the point exactly? Why should we brainwash our children to enjoy something they would not otherwise enjoy? If one wishes to read then they would do so. We spend so much time on the internet these days that it's a wonder anyone could possibly be illiterate! In the end all they end up doing is creating foolish programs like 'Accelerated Reading'. Because they want to increase the amount of literature our youth absorb they force us to read. Then we must answer pointless questions to determine weather we comprehended the book. Enjoyment never actually enters the arena. We even get marked on the bloody things. Normally this wouldn't be so bad, but we are expected to complete these damn things as well as an ever increasing barrage of homework.

The whole education system is going to hell in a rather undersized handbasket. You compile all the usual problems with the fact that we have a new graduation program and I can forsee a rather large number of children failing to make the grade. I perosnally will not be held back simply because I failed to complete a program telling me how to graduate. I will not however accomplish the intended learning outcome. I already KNOW how to graduate. I KNOW how to survive after highschool. Intead of learning how to better accomplish this, all I've been doing is finding new and innovative ways to fabricate evidence of doing so. Here's a stumper for you: how is the ability to comment on a peice of art suppose to help me in my future life? If I am to be an art critique then fine, I will learn to do so. What then is the explanation for the rest of us? What are we to learn by completing worksheets on things that will never effect us in life? On our own time no less!

The largest slap in the face was when they announced that it has come to the attention of the school board taht a large portion of students may not graduate due to the failure to complete the career planning course. This is rather insulting considering this is what I've openly campaigned FOR TWO BLOODY YEARS! They have come up with a course to help us complete this project. The course is expected to be overpopulated and therefore is only held every two days. You receive no credit or marks for arriving, but failure to do so is penalized. All the course actually provides is the opportunity to sit in a quiet room and work. Why not just take a free block and spare ourselves the stress?

Feh, enough of that. I've just set up my laptop to handle Torrents. I was slow to use these things since I've been dealing with bad hardware, but I'm glad I finally did. It's quite a useful little system. Piracy has never been easier thanks to these nifty little bugger! ^_^

Sorry about the rant by the way. My break's over in 3 days and the feeling of impending doom is getting to me!

Kozo, I feel your pain..

And Mrs. Heyhoe's not making it any easier for anyone (and yes, that's her actual name) Though I seem to have it good, I got on her nice side by shyly asking her one day if she would be able to help me with some sewing issues I'm having with my prom dress (She's a very accomplished sewer, so I've heard) and now she's all like "if you ever need anywhere to work on it, you can just bring it into my class and set your stuff up there" all smiley and everything.

Hehe

But yeah, new grad program SUCKS a**! I seriously wish I knew who came up with it so I could travel back in time, cut off his father's teste's to keep the b*****d from creating such vile scum!!

and yeah.. I should probably get started on my homework

but Lasha, if we prevent the man from being born....how can we torture him? I've gotta have SOMEBODY to practice on!

LOL I got on Heyhoe's good side with fear. Not on purpose. That's the teacher I mentioned before who's afraid of me after I snapped and yelled at her in class. I can do pretty much anything to her! Which is really an annoyance because she treats me like a pitbull. With her though, I think I'd rather be patronized then bullshitted.
There's definately more than one time this year I've thought about dropping out. Sure it would make my life harder, very much so, but if I worked hard enough as a freelance artist and web designer maybe I could make it. It's not the life I want though. Of course, neither is the one I want now.

^_^ YAY! One more reason I luv to associate with those a little bit more seasoned then myself. They've seen the same movies! LOL xd

I can't say I don't sympathize with the crappy name though. Now, I won't actually post my name online, but suffice to say it is pronounced VERY differently then it is spelt. This gave me hell in the times when Poke' mon was at it's height. Somebody always thought it was c lever to call me "Machamp" 4-armed martial artist monster. More then one b*****d got a karate chop that year. It's one of the reasons I grew out of it. Not that I don't still have the game mind you, but everytime I pull that thng out SOMEBODY has to say it. *shudders*

Huh, you know I think I might just be addicted to Anne Rice.... Completely off topic I know but damn, if that woman doesn't put out some good literature! Some sections are a bit racey for my taste but still I love her work! Although I found that I wasn't too pleased with her portrayl of Christ and God. They both came off as real assholes, and yet everybody was simply enamoured with them. Go figure. LOL must be fun to be one of the popular people... The only problem is I find that whenever I read them I always read 2 or 3 at a time and the characters begin to be muddled in my head. Her character Louis of Pointe du Lac has always intrigued me though. He's so different from all the rest! ^_^

Bah, but I post simply because I've nothing else to do. I suppose I'll go do something useful with my life....like tetris! Hell YES! whee Anybody for a game?
