"That's because he always acts so funny when I tell him all about it," Tails answered. "Sometimes I kinda feel bad because he just -had- to wind up with a Vulpix for a brother."

Trigram Attic "That's because he always acts so funny when I tell him all about it," Tails answered. "Sometimes I kinda feel bad because he just -had- to wind up with a Vulpix for a brother." "Oh don't say that." I said. "He's just not used to it all yet. Just give him some time." It was only a minute later until Tristen found his way out, clothes back on and towel in his arms. He looked fairly sleepy though, probably from getting a bit too relaxed in the tub. "Done?" I asked. "Uh-huh..." Tristen said. "Why were you two talking about carrying me?" he asked. Sometimes I forget he has acute hearing too...

"He'll have lots of time," Tails said. Then, a little lower, "If I have anything to do with it."
He cleared out from the door as Tristen came out. "Oh, you know. You fall asleep in the tub sometimes so somebody has to make sure you don't drown and stuff."

"Anyways, you feel like you need to get in bed, Tristen?" "No..." He said. "I don't think I should. There is still some of the day to go, isn't there?" "I suppose so. I guess in the meantime you and Tails can go do something if you want." I said to him. "What do we do?" The electrike hybrid asked Tails.

Tails devoted a moment to thought. Then, true to form, he reached for one of Tristen's calves, grabbed, and tentatively let flow a small bit of fire chi, not even burned, to observe whether it might spontaneously relax the muscle as he recalled Miles to do to people when they least expected.

Night woke up with a yawn today, climbing off his bed. After Larry & him had arrived back to the Hq from the mission, they'd both went exhaustively to sleep, though Night stayed up later to see what his new Combustion could do. "Wolf," Night called to his sleeping Growlithe. Waking up, the dog barked in response, wagging his tail happily. Moments later, Wolf would be jumping onto Night and licking him.
Meanwhile, Larry had headed downstairs after he awoke and headed to the kitchen for some breakfast.

TerashiLeonGoken "Unova? Can't say that I have. The farthest I've gone is Lavender Town in Kanto or Ecruteak Town in Johto." Keiko admitted. It was obvious she'd never left the continent before joining the team. "Sounds like great place, though. I'm ready to go whenever you are." Al nodded. "Very well. We should head to Olivine and book tickets to Unova unless you know of a faster way to get there." He explained, certain that the girl wouldn't know how to get there if she didn't know about the forest in the first place. Admittedly, all he really knew was that the forest was on the eastern side of the region, himself.

Sub would wake up the next morning in a daze, still shocked at the condition of his hair, he needed to get some hair dye, and fast. But first, he needed to leave the HQ without being seen. He quickly ran back to his room, getting dressed and putting a baseball cap on to try and hide the pink hair, which it did for the most part, except for a tiny line of pink in the back. "Okay, just have to get downstairs and get Claydol to teleport me out...shouldn't be too hard." Sub said with a sigh as he ran out of his bedroom and quickly made his way down the stairs.

Hawk's eyes shot open. He was... somewhere dark. He groaned and rubbed his head. There was light coming from somewhere nearby! Judging by the feeling of something hard on his back, Hawk judged he was on the floor. So, he sat up, slamming his head into something! Grumbling and muttering, he rolled himself out..
...from underneath the couch! Hawk stood up, shielding his eyes. He was covered in dust and cobwebs. Just how long had he been down there?

"Just need to grab my backpack next to the front door and I'm out of here..." Sub mumbled to himself as he made it down the stairs, and into the main area. He shot across the room, not bothering to go around the couch but instead leaping over it...and landing on Hawk. "Ack! Hawk!?" He said in shock as he was now on top of the trainer, making sure his hat didn't come off, it didn't.

Kairi nodded. "Yeah, that's him. He's the one who pulled my mother off of me. Apparently he's Leslie's father," she said calmly, a proper smile gracing her lips now. Kairi caught the girl carefully, holding her tightly in her arms. The red-head may still shudder every time she realized that this young girl shared the same witch of a mother as her, but, somehow, the young blonde melted Kairi's cold heart. The girl was really the only family that Kairi had that she didn't hate. "You're welcome Blondie," the red-head said, sticking her tongue out slightly at the younger girl and chuckling.
"Anyways, after that, I actually had a conversation with the both of them. Mom didn't say much, though, considering I was carrying a bunch of Leslie's stuff, I assume that she could tell that we had found each other. She didn't look very happy about that. Maybe she thinks I'll corrupt her or something," Kairi said, chuckling at the thought. "I didn't really stay there long though. Just long enough to finish gathering up Leslie's things, and y'know, grabbing this..." Kairi lifted the plush toy up slightly. It wasn't much to look at, but, it was the only thing she had really wanted from her old life. The Houndour had been given to her as a birthday present one year from her father. One of the select few times she had gotten to see him. The two had connected somehow in that day, and it was her father's idea for Kairi to run away. He didn't want her either, but, he figured she'd better off on the streets than with her mother. She may not have respected the man for not being there for her over the years, but, she certainly didn't blame him for leaving. Her mother WAS kind of psychotic. She could remember his face clearly, the same golden eyes that she had, the same red hair. Except for the fact that she was female, Kairi was nearly identical to her father. She could remember his words to her when he handed her the Houndour plush, saying that it would protect her, just as he would have if he had been able to. She may not respect her father, she may even have resented him for leaving her with her mother, but she certainly didn't hate the man.
Kairi had to shake her head to snap herself out of her daze of thoughts. She didn't say anything now, but, at least she was focused on the two people who did matter to her now.

"Bloody 'ell. Sunshine's father is the man 'o 'elped us survive." Reno's face was in astonishment. After all that had happened, he had almost forgotten the man, at least until he looked in the mirror and remembered the words on the note still concealed in the book. Looking at Leslie, he began to see the resemblance to her father. "So, yer mother is still a waste a 'uman skin, that some'ow married the nicest man ta walk the face a the earth. Tha's a lil crazy."
Leslie, still dangling around Kairi's neck, saw her smile at the contact between the two of them. Seeing Kairi sticking her tongue out at her, she did it i turn, laughing a little at the fun she was having. Seeing the stuffie in Kairi's hand, she looked at the ragged thing. "Did your dad give it to you? That's nice of him." The small girl chirped with, staring at the stuffie.

Hm. Looks like Hawk Just got subbed
Hawk yelped sharply as a Sub marine landed on him. Hawk stared in disbelief. His large, purple eyes registering 20 different thoughts at once. The crash landing had thrown poor Hawk's hat off of his head, revealing..... well... nothing all that surprising. It was just rows and rows and rows of dreadlocks.
"Wha? huh?!" Hawk stammered, staring at Sub... and then Sub's hat. "One... Could ya get off? I don't roll with the donphan, if ya know what I mean. Two.... what's with the sudden assault?"

The sound of Sub's shouting easily reached Night's ears from her spot outside. Curiosity getting the better of her, she pulled herself off the tree branch and jumped to the ground.
Wearing a grin truly worthy of the fox she was, the Ninetales made her way inside, only to find Sub and Hawk in a very unusual position. Moving to stand behind the couch, and thus right above the two boys, Night made a soft tsking sound, "Now, V. You know there are some people who'd rather not see this. I mean, it's fine if you swing that way, personally I never would have guessed, but at least get a room or something."
Chuckling evilly, the girl then reached out to snatch the hat straight off Sub's head, "And how dare you attempt to hide my masterpiece by covering it with this horrid-looking hat. I worked hard on that."

"Yeah, I was surprised too," Kairi said, thinking about how shocked she had been to see him again after so long, and how she was even more shocked at finding out he was the father of her sister. "I don't really understand it, but hey, at least Blondie here has a better father than I do," Kairi said, chuckling slightly.
"Yes, it was a gift from my dad. He told me it would protect me as he would if he had been able to. I think he probably gave me a Houndour plush specifically because he himself owns a Houndoom. They're kinda like guard dogs in a way, so..." Kairi trailed off, her eye beginning to water. Shedidn't really know why she was getting all teary-eyed, it's not like she really cared for her father. It was stupid of her to get so sappy over something so silly as a stuffed toy.
