At school, the nerds and I arranged two circular tables and one rectangular table to look like privates. It was awesome.
You're such a tool.

So if I'm a tool, and God's a tool, that means there's a bit of a chance that I'm God.
Kneel and pray, bizotch. Kneel and pray.

If you're a God, then I'm a Goddess, & you should be praying to me because Goddesses are the ones who bring life into the world.
So there.
By the way, I'm back!

uh sweatdrop Wow that deteriated REALLY fast! LOL Yeah I agree religion is one of the most powerful tools known to man, but so many cultures have a faith in a higher being that I find it too large a possiblility to ignore. I am registered as a Catholic, but realistically my code of conduct is to rule out nothing. Either way I was only looking for websites on Catholic demonology not a religious debate.... But wow, you guys sure pumped out some large blasphemy rather quickly! LOL good job guys. I still don't get how atheism can be an official religion. Then again 'Jedi' is an official religion in North America so what does that say about us as a culture?

I believe that religion is a way to make morals and explain what mankind can't explain thusfar.
I do like religion. It is a most facinating subject.

I attempted to find a list of governmentally recognized religions for the US, but I came up short.
However, I am almost positive the only place where the Jedi religion is recognized is in England. I'm pretty sure it's not recognized in the US.
I took a trip there a year back, & we met someone who was of the Jedi religion. He wore the robe & everything. I didn't ask to see his sabre. rofl
On a sidenote, I consider myself a Wiccan.

Jarlaxle Baenre I believe that religion is a way to make morals and explain what mankind can't explain thusfar. I do like religion. It is a most facinating subject. Religion and martyrs (especially when they go hand-in-hand) are the two fastest ways to get people to kill other people without remorse and without hesitation. Mwahah. I'm of the Nordic religion.

As far as I know, there is no list of governmentally recognized religions in the U.S. because it would be an infringement on the Constitution by having the government say "We recognize, and therefore, lay favor, to people who are of these religions"

yeah I suppose you're right... then there's of course Canada who, in the attempt to spawn a nation of equality, has created set of bills giving extra rights and freedoms to people of different gender, race, religion, and sexual orientation. Essentially everyone in Canada is equal.....as long as they aren't straight, white, christian males.... -_-' As for jedi, the version I heard of its origin is that during a concensus a while back, a space was left for the participants to state their religion. A large group of Star Wars fans and smart-asses banded together and filled in 'Jedi' since such a large portion of the country was apparently in touch with the force, they were granted the status of religion. Huzzah....
