I have a love-hate relationship with Risk. Friends of mine take that game to seriously, at times it started turning ugly...

Damn pity, lots of people take board games over seriously. I'm a wargamer ( well was / maybe been a while) My experience in that is of fun. Board games though some don't like losing or trying new things, it's as if the only fun is winning.
If you can't make a game out of a game then you're doing something wrong.
Draughts / checkers is my game, I just have the mind to win it and get threatened when playing. So can open it up for silliness, drinking shots, taking clothes off, money or other gambling. Harder to win constantly with those odds.. Going to get distracted, passed out or otherwise occupied sooner than later.

Firinn Any recommendations on how to get a song out of your head? I've tried singing and dancing to it, and I currently have it on repeat. My normal methods aren't working... gonk Try standing on your head and eating a pickle. Wait that might be hiccups.

Harder to win constantly with those odds.. Going to get distracted, passed out or otherwise occupied sooner than later. Exactly, it really is just a game! I'm not really the best at following rules at times, nor am I competitive. I do prefer making stuff up on the fly, or twisting it up to make it more interesting. I don`t really have one game I'm particularly good at, however Twister, Mario Kart and Chess recently started involving shots to spice things up a bit. Inebriated Twister = Hilarity. 3nodding kefkadragon Try standing on your head and eating a pickle. Wait that might be hiccups. Pretty sure that's hiccups, but the song that is stuck in my head is now at a manageable level so I'm partially cured.

I tried playing risk during a church thing where we stayed there overnight. It was going ok, except the fat guy everyone hated, of course I get in the same room as him. Good thing he was scared of the baby dolls and we were in the preschool room, wouldn't shut the hell up and kept farting. I nearly made him piss his pants by placing the doll near him when he was sleeping. Anyway we played a quickened version of risk and it was pretty good. Until the fat guy, man I hated him.
