Erik shook his head as he kept one finger poked into Jelena's back, making sure she kept the move on. "Please, don't flatter yourself James. This woman is married to her work and her children are her Echoes. You don't stand a chance." Though he did laugh. "And she doesn't have the ability to take care of a mechanical arm...too scatter brained." Though he looked like he was thinking for a moment. "Crash a cruiser into Earth and proclaim that the Fleet did it on purpose?"
Jelena rolled her eyes, men. They were truly idiots sometimes. But down the hall to the living quarters they went, Erik having that damned finger poked into her back the whole way. Reaching her room she coded the door and stepped in, letting the boys follow. Of course she weaved around mess to her bed, shoving what was on it off and taking a seat. "Can we get this over with?"

James grinned lightly, and while Erik was playing guard and Jelena sat down..the popping sound of the airsyringe went off, in Erik''s back.
"All done."
A slight chuckle.
"Told you I wouldn''t let yu get drugged up if you were willing to take yourself a day off."

Jelena blinked as she heard the distinctive sound of an air powered syringe being put to use...but knew it wasn't on her. Though it dawned on her just as Erik was getting that 'uh oh, what the hell' look and then got that drowsy look and then he went down for the count, rather crumpling to her floor. "Good lord...that's some strength to that stuff."
A curious look up to James, blinking. "He is not going to be happy in the morning, you do know that right?"Another blink. "Note to be, don't break any promises to you..." A look at Erik. Great now she had a full grown man, sleeping like a baby on her floor.

James grinned lightly, and hefted James up using the much strongr bioware arm, adn over the shoulder with a little grunt.
"where do you want him? and don't worry about the morning after. I was an accident, honest. I slipped and hit the trigger."
he chuckled at that, and waited to see where Jelena wanted him, either in his own room which he'd need to know where that was or was she going to set him someplace in her room.
"Besides, this spares your hair from whatever deviltry he was thinking of doing to it."

"Last I heard he wanted to cut it shorter than it is now, dye it hot pink and then spike it." She shrugged and then sighed softly. "Just put him in his room. It's in this quarter, down the hall, fifth door to the left. His code is twenty-six, fifty-three."
Yes she knew Erik's code, just as Erik knew hers. Then she laughed slightly. "Yeah, accident. Make sure you leave him a note telling him it was so."

James chuckled lightly.
"nah, you wouldn't look that good with that kind of hairstyle. and I'll be back in a few minutes."
And erik got carried down to his room, and James opened it up and took a look around, foudn the hot pink hairdye and gel that was supposed to be used on Jelena..and went to work on Erik, whistling lightly and giving him the hairstyle he wanted to give Jelena, then putting him in a shower cap and plopping him into bed, tucking himin and walking back to Jelena's room.
"There all done, and you'll know when he wakes up, I'm sure."

She blinked at him once more, her hand idle rubbing gently at her poor shoulder that was going to hurt like hell in the morning. Break out the pain meds now, she was going to be eating them like meals all day tomorrow. "You did something to him didn''t you?"
Jelena opened her mouth to ask, but then closed it. On second thought...she didn''t want to know at all. "Don''t tell me. I''m sure I''ll get an ear full about it next time I see him."

"Just a little turn about is fair play action. how''s your shoulder feeling?"
He took a seat at her computer, letting her have the bed, and got that seriously concerned look on his face, folding his hands on his knee, thje occasionaly hum form the bioware brain sounding.
"Pain meds you''ll have to go through Radiance for..we don''t keep much of those in meta, as these augments don''t normally give pain when they work right."

"Pain is starting to set in, that's for sure. But like I said, I deserve it. I'll start pain meds tomorrow so as I'm not reduced to a pile of crying scientist hiding among her bed sheets. That just wouldn't look good at all." And there he was, looking all concerned again.
Though she offered him a smile. "Good thing I don't have to explain things to get meds from Radiance. Though I may have to fill out some papers if I want the high level stuff. Decisions, decisions." Another smile to him. "Thank you James...for getting your own involved. Saved me a lot of trouble in the long run."

James shrugged lightly.
"I don't mind getting my own to help with things around here. and especially with you and your project. every little thing becomes a disaster when teh top brass gets involved. SO my pleasure to help you out there."

"Still, if things got out of hand, you and your own would be dragged down with me. Guilty by association if not involvement. Radiance isn't too thrilled with the idea of overly aggressive Echoes. So I like to keep certain Echoes hush hush. They're not bad really, just easy to temper." She was justifying herself to James why now?

"They are wild animals. like any other you ness with them and they will fight back, and some more than others. some of the echoes, by thier nature, are violent . or have violent streaks depending on circumstance. for example, dragons are notorious in legends for hoarding shiny objects. thus your dragons do the same, and they will assualt those they think are infriging on thier 'hoard'. Hippogriffins are just tempermental. and Fenrirs..they are like any other wolf pack. just a lot bigger."
A small smile.
"Want me to stay the night in case you have any problems, Jelena?"

"Someone who gets the concept that they''re still wild animals. How lovely." No really, it was. Sometimes the higher ups forgot that an Echo was nothing more than an animal once you stripped off all the glamor. Though she then laughed, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Looking for an excuse to stay in my room all night and watch me sleep in stalker like fashion James? I don''t know whether to be flattered or not." But she shrugged...regrettng that action as it brought on a jolt of pain. Bad idea indeed. "I don''t see what problems I could have other than tossing and turning and maiming myself. But whatever helps you sleep."

"Exactly. it's the tossing and turning and maiming yourself that worries me. I think I'll stay the evening, and hook myself up to your computer. that'll prevent me from doing anything to you, tempting or not.."
A small grin.
"And allow me to do self system checks so that I can verify that tech didn't dislocate or unplug anything while he worked. not common, but it does happen unintnetionally."

"Well...stay out of my personal files, would you? You don't have the privilege to see those yet." Giving a nod she stood from the bed and made her way to her bathroom where she changed into her clothes. What did a scientist wear to bed? Overly large T-shirt, that's what.
Coming out of the bathroom she threw her lab vest, with all the junk still in the pockets, on a hook on the wall and made her way back to her bed, slipping in. "Goodnight then James, I'll try not to maim myself too much while I sleep."
