::Fuzzy - something dazzed started to come into view as she opened her eyes ever so slowly. The sound of chewing started to get louder as her consciousness began to turn itself back on. One tap - two tap - three tap... Whats nudging your boot? Her subconscious asked her. Finally, her yellow eyes fully opened, and to her surprise, there was a beast, a large one at that. It was consuming the grass around her feet. "... Kodo..?" Blinking and slowly turning her head she saw 3 more, they were a several yards away following eachother in a single line. They must be Migrating.. Her head leaned against the tree as it did before and spoke outloud, her eyes half way open. " There must of be some form of rainfall in this area, enough for these amiable beasts to survive... ..." Her eyes fully opened. ::That gave her an idea. Tagging along with them might be a good idea. She didnt know where she was, nor how to locate water and she was in great need of some. She moved her foot out of the way, allowing the stalky rhino-looking creature to graze more. Lifting Nathanial up in her arms and taking herself towards the Kodo herd was the only thing on mind. And, then again... it was a great idea. -------------- ::Kaym's body swayed back and forth, absorbing the breeze through her hair. The Kodo were humble creatures. She's met them before. Not these 4 personally, but in a village she passed through years back, these creatures were used as mounts. Pulling wagons filled with newly harvested crop or just for the single rider. "Good thing these guys dont mind me stealing a ride." she managed a smile as she thought of what Nathanial would say. "You're a mooch." She said, mimicing his voice and chucking at her own impression.

*rave smiled and shoved at the next statue till it teeterd on the edge of the platform* whee Ordinary...that could be interesting if you learned to look at the world differently... but none of us have ever really been like those people out there, and I don't really think we belong there either sweatdrop but then asgain I wasn't human to begin with, so I tend to look at it a little differently...

"Nothing... it was nothing."
Vahn stared down at the floor, a little past Tellus as he took in Sun's words. Raven's voice chimed in, and for a split second, he felt as if a part of him were trying to break away from his skin.
As if he was being sucked back into something.
It had the oddest sensation of deja vu... yet again.
It left him unsettled within the pit of his stomach, before he broke out of it himself.
Of course, it didn't help that the sound of nails clacking against the floor were suddenly heard.
.. a dog...?
Turning his head in the direction of the room's unseen walkway, a pair of red eyes stared right back.
Soft growling was heard, before several more eyes came into view.

Hah...so now it would happen? The great clash which would change everything?
Lucind frowned, though only theoretically, in her thoughts, so to say. In reality, her face remained calm with her eyes closed halfwards, watching inside.

Tellus perked up at the noise, she had always felt alone, even in a crowd, so her beliefs were more in line with Raven's no matter how much she wished otherwise.
"What's that" She struggled in Vahn's arms weakly as she tried to get up. She did not want to be caught defenseless. Where was her nagamaki...in Raven's hammerspace hopefully. sweatdrop Dante would kill her if she lost it...

stare if it isn't one thing, its another rolleyes ... *Rave didn't want to look, the hairs on the back of her neck were already standing on end and she just knew that this was going to be bad... very bad if everything else this place had thrown at them was on an escalating scale! She shoved the statue hard to topple it over the edge with another crash, focusing on getting enough weight off the elevator thing to get them away from whatever it was that was about to try and eat them now* I'll take care of the statues... Sun, Vahn.. buy us a little time, if possible... sad

The kodo brought kaym south along the coast. The sea is far, even though its only 5 feet away.. it was still 30ft down.
The stalky Kodo made it to the coast in only a sun's rise, while still resting at night. Impressive. Kaym was going in the correct direction, only, it would have taken her 2 or 3 days.
It was midday; The Suns shining hand was laid upon the barren earth and the sea breeze was at a gentle mass, and seeing that she had a desert on her right and the sea on her left. ... Strange combination.
It would have to be one of her favorite places. Not quite Hell, Not quite heaven. (The desert was her prefered heaven) stare She wasnt very fond of water after she rejoined the living world.
She didnt really understand why she would choose the desert over the sea. You'd think she would never want to see a hot terrain again, but, then again, she wasnt on positive terms with water either. This unsettling train of thought only made her remember...
-----------------------
Walking upon the burnt rubble of a city looking much like seattle, Kaym stood on the top of a car. she inhailed the sulfuric air and scanned the uninhabitable enviornment looking for something of interest. She grew accustom to this place, thats for sure. ..
...Why was I put here?
"...... " Kaym turned her head away in disgust.
For too long she had been there. For too long this Damned place haunted her dreams. 54 years! 54yrs of knowing she could be tomorrows breakfast. 5 1/2 ******** decades of running, of hiding, of killing. It wasn't fair. ...This is were she was put, after being awake for 7 years. She was murdered, by her own sword no less. She was aware Sam tried to revive her, but, due to her being here for the lengthy stay, he obviously failed. She was happy with the rule, "What goes with you, stays with you." That meant she got to keep the sword that was driven through her abdomin.
------
Her eyes closed and opened slowly. Her thoughts ran slow, her breath was slow, her heart didn't beat at all... Maybe this place was finally getting to her.
She stood up, residing on the only building top gave her a predicable advantage. This way she could see the forsaken Ghouls before they arrive. As she watched the benighted land something caught her eye. Immediately she grabbed the ledge of the old broken apartment building and stared deeper at the figure.
... a ghoul?
"Ah..." speechless, Kaym stared for only a second more before she lept from the building. Her feet landed on the ground, followed, she went into a full dash. Her head was running faster then she was. The figure was a young child and having seen him walking towards the lake was one of the problems, the other, How did he get there? Did he escape? Did he just arrive? Either bet, she needed to get there,... now.
"Stop!" Her voice wasn't fast enough. Abruptly, the solid black water pulsated and soulfilled hands-arms sprung from the water, wrapping their gastly fingers all about his face and arms. On contact, the grotesque phalanges melted and pealed off his skin. She could hear his screams carry through the air. not good. She grabbed hold of his waist and wholeheartedly pulled him away from the rabid forsaken souls.
His pupils were dialated and his breath was pulsing.
"...Mommy..." His face was beat red, he couldnt catch his breath, he grasped and hicupped before his eyes were rapidly flowing with tears. He looked seven or younger. Kaym was speechless. How can a child of this age be here!? Her body trembled along with his. But, she must move away from this place. She held him tight to her chest with her hand on the back of his little head. she sprinted back to her hideout as quick as her legs could carry her. The boy cried for several minutes before he fell silent still in her arms.
He stayed silent for 3hrs. He didnt move, nor did he open his eyes. The bleeding on his arms had stopped and were healing over with massive black scabs the area surrounding was turning pitches of grey.
His peaceful body began to shake, demoniacally thrashing back and forth - the seizure's strengthed increased then he stopped. Kaym covered her mouth, trying to hold back the oncoming tears. She knew what had happened, she'd seen it more times then her heart wanted, and to the only dear people he had lost in his hellish place.
Staggering about, he stood, his legs were bent in irregular places acting like plastic or jelly the same went for his arms.
"You b*****d..." She inhailed a deep breath, as the purest water fell from her cheeks. She couldnt hold them back from falling, it was inevidable. Too much pain, too much solitude. The premature ghoul stood infront of her, clawing its way through the boy's skin. But, before it even got a taste of the deadly wanted air, Kaym wasted no more time and ended it with a brief swing of her sword, decapatating the little monster before it could break free.
-----------
Kaym bitterly started at the sea. Strangely, it was calm, the blue liquid broke softly against the rock below.
She looked forward, regretting the memory. ghoul

Ah...those were the fights seldomly to happen on the open battlefield but rather away from public. And still, those fights often created a greater stir, more fundamental changes than wars sporting huge armies. Straining your soul to the utmost. Tearing it apart to protect what seemed to be right in your eyes. In those moment, you've got no time for hesitation or doubt. But when it's over, are you satisfied with the truth you saved with your own bloody hands? Are you afraid to take a closer look, fearing to realize you're only holding a little piece of reality--but not the truth which justifies all your deeds?
...
Lucind felt her confusion and questions melting with one scene after another being shown to her.

Vahn Kyonuske "Nothing... it was nothing." Vahn stared down at the floor, a little past Tellus as he took in Sun's words. HonoRaven stare if it isn't one thing, its another rolleyes ... *Rave didn't want to look, the hairs on the back of her neck were already standing on end and she just knew that this was going to be bad... very bad if everything else this place had thrown at them was on an escalating scale! Sun, Vahn.. buy us a little time, if possible... sad The words were barely out of Ravens mouth before a red blur shot past the group. There was a sickening crunch as Sunstrike landed, growling, feet first against the skull of the first hellhound, plowing it into the stone floor. A spiderweb of cracks branched out from the impact, black blood oozing through. The dog's followers actually retreated a few steps, giving him enough time to speak. "Stay there, Vahn..." Sun's back was to the rest. "When in doubt I'll use the wings and catch you up..." There was a jarring shake to the elevator as another staue sailed off from Hono's push. Orange eyes caught yellow ones. "You HAVE to get to him Vahn...do whatever it takes..." By now the surprise had worn off and they began to move forward towards the salamander...teeth bared. Two jumped, heading for the rising platform, another aiming to take the boy down. The one moving past was suddenly stopped in it's tracks, a weapon of pure fire impaled within it's leg. Sun's own feet skidded back at the momentum of the moving hound, but it wasn't so long that he couldn't drive the wounded one right into the one coming at him with another crunch.

"Hey! Who are you kidding!?"
Vahn yelled out towards Sunstrike, even as the platform continued ascending. Tellus was still layed out along Vahn's arms which meant there really wasn't much he could do short of dropping her and running after Sun.
"Sunstrike!"
All the while the platform continued rising, heading for the opening in the ceiling.
The platform itself rode along four geared rails, rising alongside columns; how it was powered was unknown.
The hellhounds themselves would try to surround and attack as a pack, their flaming maws and searing claws aiming to strike in full attacks against the redhead.

Actually, at this point Tellus was struggling to get out of Vahn's arms even though she was still weak.
"SUN!?!?!" One hand found a spot on Vahn's chest as the other gripped, looking for his arm to push herself up and out. "What are we doing?! We have to help him!" It was as if there were two voices speaking instead of just one. Then one voice would drown out the other making sure it was clear. "If you don't come back alive, I'll hunt you down in Hell!?"Even while she still struggled to get free.

eek wait... stare bloody... MEN stressed *Rave was more than a little ticked at her old friends apparent attempt at self sacrifice.. it was annoying among other things, after all, how did Sun expect her and Tellus to keep Vahn out of trouble, the man never listened to them unless he wanted too sweatdrop ... With frustration, and more than a little anger, Raven kicked one more statue off the dias, very glad to be wearing the oversized boots as she felt the nasty shock up her leg.. but the statue toppled in a very pleasant looking manner that once again reinforced the fact that she was a little more than her 4 foot tall, 95lb exterior portrayed..." Sun, if you don't get your cute a** back up here right now, I swear I will find some way to haunt you even from my grave about all this! scream

"Heh..." Pointed teeth and a shallow smile. "S'not going up fast enough..." He growled and focused on the pack moving in. "Shall we give it a little nudge?"
Sunstrike actually drew something in the air...even as teeth sank into one of his shoulders.
Everyone one the elevator would almost feel the silence that decended from below, before a rumble that shook the loose stones. Suddenly, a great whoosh of super heated air slammed into the bottom off the platform.
Gear's squealed into high gear, their cries mixing with that of the hounds that were burning alive. The platform shot up floors like a cork in a shaken up champagne bottle, flames licking the outter edges and heating them up to a nice cherry red.
Once it had gone from view, Sunstrike stood panting for a moment, teeth marks scoring his body...the shadows of the creatures burned into the very walls.
