"Aw, Aski!" Tenmoki said approaching the boy. "Are you ready to learn the open palm?" the woman asked, smiling at him. She had heard a few things about Aski from Aya, since she had been in class with him for awhile. Any friend of Tenmoki's children were definitely worthy of learning the open palm.

"You bet!" he said running over to her. He hoped this would be useful. He didn't have much strength and was terrible at Taijutsu. He prefered his jutsus. But anything that may come in handy was something he wanted to learn.

"That's good. I feel more comfortable about everyone's skills when they've learned this technique. The Open Palm doesn't deal with strength, but with wisdom. If you are smart and quick, you'll be able to anticipate the attack of your opponent and use their strength against them. Its all about the flow of an attack and redirecting power," Tenmoki explained to the boy. After she spoke, she performed a series of seals to create a water clone that looked like Aya. "Observe the movements of the clone. Watch the muscles and footing of your opponent. You need to know where an attack is coming from to harness its strength," Momakage explained. "Begin," she said.

Control the clone like an NPC.

"Ok!" Aski said to the Kusakage. He started looking over the clone of Aya, he made mental notes of the footing and which muscles the clone moved when it attacked. He then tried to dodge the attack.

He was able to succesfully dodge the attack but unfortunatly he couldn't figure out what the clone was to do next. He prepared himself once more, looking over the details of it. Muscle movements, footing, expression. The clone then lunged forward and he prepared to try this again.

He was able to dodge it again, but he still couldn't get the other part. The clone was hard to decipher. Maybe it was because it was water. He tried once more observing its movements. This time he focused more on its footing. Maybe he could see where it's next move would lead it too.

He was able to succefully tell where it was going. He decided that a main part of this technique was watching the opponents footing. He watched the clone move its feet in a manner and tried to decipher where it would go.

He wasn't able to get it this time. He watched as the clone prepared for another attack. "At least i can dodge them" he thought positivly to himself. He tried again to focus a little less on the feet but still enough that he might be able to tell where it's going. He also focused a little on the muscles. Maybe this would give way to a possible punch that he could see coming.

"Its harder than it looks, is it not?" Tenmoki asked Aski. It seemed to be dodging the clones easily enough, but to her it seemed that Aski was having a hard time reading the movements. She smiled as she watched the boy move and practice. She doubt the clone would really hit him, but she still watched to see what happened.

He still couldn't get it. He tried focusing on both of them evenly thinking maybe the footing was just luck. He was glad he was dodging them all because he didn't really wanna get hit by a water clone. Come to think of it, he hasn't really been hit by anyone since he joined the academy. Except the time he sparred with Aya, she took him down in one blow.

He was able to read the movements this time and saw where the clone was going. "Yeah, your clones are preety tough!" Aski shouted to the Kusakage. He would learn this technique if he ever was able to learn more about water. He tried to read the movements again. Hoping this time he could read it two times in a row.

He was having troubles with this. Dodging was easy enough and he was glad he could do it. He tried once more to read the movements. "Is there a trick to this?" he thought silently in his head. He saw the clone coming and tried to read the movements this time focusing more on the muscle movements.

Now he was getting confused. First time he focused more on footing, second he had evenly looked at both, and now he had focused more on muscle. He decided to label this technique "Luck related" he thought. He tried once more to see if he could read the techniques.

Aya smiled as she walked back to the training grounds. "Moma, I'm getting better at the Mizu bunshin. Wanna see?" she asked Momakage as she performed the handseals to bring up the water. Aya hoped that she did a good job of creating an identical clone. She knew she wasn't the best at it yet, but she was getting better!
