Ichida nods. "...Edo? I Suppose I will come with you. Someone has to make sure that you don't get killed." Grinning, she continues: "Anyway, what about this man? Are you visiting him to gain money or a good fight?" She patted the coin purse tucked in her obi. It was getting later in the day...She may have to actually pay for an inn, as opposed to night wandering. ...It scared the locals.

Hakkyou didn't speak for a good while, and then his words were chosen somewhat carefully. The one man out of the entire group who never listened, and who always challenged people or authority said this. "I'm going to become one of his swords..."
The 'master' of using both his sword and sheath, was saying he would lend his skills to someone else. This man had to be something spectacular...or something truly frightening...

"Yes you're damn right there... I will not stay away from them... even though they're more than ten times as strong as I am, they don't scare me. Besides, the only thing those bastards are good at is killing and destroying other peoples lives. I am different... and I'll show them the power of giving people life instead of taking it away." Miu sounded almost foolishly determined, like a child. Perhaps that was because Miu still somehow was a child. Maybe this was the downside of being born and raised in a powerful family as her own, as it had barely ever given her much freedom, even though they had the money to be as free as they ever wanted to. Even the fall of the Shinsengumi government couldn't hurt them and hadn't hurt them, because even though they had leaned more to the traditional Shinsengumi side, they had been able to remain neutral through the whole war, thanks to their appreciated medical skills.
Yumi leaned over the rooftop and looked down on the people walking on the road beneath her. Bored and without having anything to do, not even an easy assignment Yumi had spent most of her time training all by herself. But enough was enough, the luxurious dojo did no longer please her. None of the hired opponents could give her any resistance. She needed more, someone to challenge, something that could thrill her. It was a long time since she had felt the least bit exited over anything.
After leaving the island Yumi had finally arrived at her old house, which surprisingly enough was still standing. Noone had burnt it down, but as she entered it she had noticed it was completely empty. All her furniture and belongings had been stolen. Or so she thought, until she found her loyal servant. This was the first time she had really appreciated his help. The clever servant had actually been able to transport all her most valuable belongings to a safe location just before the meji won and attacked all higher ranked Shinsengumi members houses. When the Meji solidiers had found her house, the house still looked like a place someone could actually live in, so they didn't even suspect that everything worth anything had been hidden. As the servant acted all furious over the Meji swordsmen burning all the remaining furniture in the house they had just left without actually destroying the house much. When Yumi returned, she could just continue her life almost as usual, of course, hiding her true wealth and never inviting anyone to her house... but this was a piece of cake as she never did it anyways.
The lack of things to do was far worse than loosing some of her belongings though. Yumi was used to living in horrible poor conditions, but she had never had to be without anything to do for very long periods of time. Yumi had to keep an low profile all the time... and assassins were not needed as much as before. Most of her contacts had also died, so her network had shrunk remarkably. Now she was able to lean back and relax and do nothing for the rest of her life, something she always dreamed of when she was younger. But now, as she had the chance, the thought didn't please her. Horrified she realized that she really didn't have anything to do... not now, not ever. How can housewives stand the life they live? Maybe I should find a husband?

Sakura slowly looked back at her and shook his head slowly. "There is only your family. Don't dishonour them by letting yourself die. If you want to give life then give it, don't chase after those you can't beat. Oh...and those ten. Most of them enjoy to torture people. As in if they find you, they will kill you, slowly, and in more painful ways then the Shinsengumi could ever do. Go home girl...before you die."
Sakura turned disappearing into the darkness, his presence gone as it had always been. He simply moved through the shadows to head toward Edo. He needed to get there and end it all. Well...maybe. He wasn't sure at the moment. He only knew that there was something growing, that he may or may not have to take care of. That would come to knowledge at a later time...

"...So my assumptions were correct; you are coming in the promise of a good fight. My dear Hakkyou-kun, you are quite an individual. I never really can figure out what is going on in that strange mind of yours." She turned her head towards the horizon. The sun was setting for the the day, dipping towards the earth in a beautiful splash of reds, yellows, oranges, and purples. Out in the distance, a crane called; a stream gurgled. Although it was so fleeting, Peace was present. 'One of the ten...lending their skills...' Ichida stifled a yawn and kept walking, the halberd beginning to droop behind her. She definately needed to start looking for an inn...

Hakkyou kept walking and looked back at her for a moment. "Does baby need to sleep in a bed? Or will she settle for the ground since the nearest town is highly suspicious of you. Less of me fortunately." He chuckled and put his hands behind his head to look out in front of him. His eyes stared out in front of him to think as he kept himself intrigued.

Ichida rolled her eyes. "Now that's more of the Hakkyou-kun that I'm used too..." She leaned the Halberd across her shoulders. She stretched her arms, trying to touch both ends of the weapon, out as wide as her arms would go. "If they don't know it's me then they can't be suspicious, now can they? ...I suppose the ground would suit me just fine." She kept walking, then she stopped and turned to him, grinning. "...But I'm not making you breakfast, so there."

Hakkyou chuckles and waves his hand a bit. "Blah blah, fine. I'll get breakfast. Just find us a place to sleep alright?" He shook his head a bit putting his hands behind his head. He didn't wear anything really fancy. Just normal clothes that kept him garbed. It was adequate for his circumstance. He wasn't too awfully worried about how he looked, or much else really. He was simply a man trying to live and survive.

Miu shivered, she was very well aware of Nobara's brutal methods... and could only imagine what the other members were like. Still, she payed no notice to all the warning bells ringing in her head. There has to be a way... HAS to! She beginned her journey towards Edo.
"Oy Chochmah... when will we be able to meet this incredible man? I'm beginning to get real curious now." Nobara was jumping from rooftop to rooftop, following the swordsman from a small distance. Constantly her ears and eyes were picking up small details from her environment. She saw items she could use as weapons and loose bricks she shouldn't step on, old feathers and places to quickly hide in. Most of the details she automatically picked up from years of training and experience, some of them she payed special attention to at them moment, since she did not trust the men she was travelling with. She knew what both swordsmen specialized in and therefore she now carefully looked for things that could help her defend herself against these men.

She turned around in circles, searching the landscape. "There's a rice paddy...a forest, mostly bamboo, but some trees, too...an old temple, and a few huts. Take your pick. Personally, I think the temple and the forest are good choices. The rice paddy is, well...wet, and the people who live in the huts would probably be afraid of two rough-looking people carrying weapons." She stopped and set down her Halberd. Gingerly, she re-wrapped the canvas bag over the blade and adjusted the leather strips wound around the handle. "If you chose the forest, we could always cut away a small area beneath a tree, or something. Now, about dinner..."

Hakkyou chuckled as he walked toward the forest. "Forest sounds good. You deal with dinner. I've got breakfast right?" He moved his hands to his pockets and went into the forest to find a spot. He wouldn't cut away any trees, but just sat down and leaned against one for support. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes waiting for Ichida to follow and start up with dinner.
Chochmah looked up at her and then back forward as he continued to carry Kazuma on his back. He yawned slightly as he continued walking. "We'll meet him soon after he breaks out...I think you'll find him interesting enough. Even Hakkyou will decide to lend his blade to our mystery man." He chuckled and continued walking, moving fast, despite the burden on his shoulder. He moved toward the city Edo, wanting to get there before night was over, and this being the only way to do it. He looked up at her again and shook his head looking forward. "You always had trouble with people didn't you?"

"I always had trouble with people didn't I?" Nobara immitated Chockmah.
"Why do you say something like that?" She smirked and looked down on the pair.
"Just because people are jackasses you hardly ever can trust and freak out as soon as I even mention what my profession is... describing my daily tasks tends to send them running for the police screaming lonatic on the loose... that's not my problem... they just don't understand me..." She sighed dramatically and rolled her eyes.

Nodding, Ichida followed close behind. "How do I let myself get pulled into this?" She shook her head. "One minute I'm finding a campground and the next I'm making dinner... What's next?" Setting her Halberd down, she untied a small pack from it which included assorted knives, eating utensils, a few spare sets of clothing for the weather changes, and other necessities. She grabbed a small deep bowl and threw over her shoulder at Hakkyou. "Here. Go find that stream we passed and fill this up with water. If you find anything edible along the way, bring it back with you." She dug through her pack some more until she found the proper equipment to start a small fire with. Grabbing a few nearby mushrooms and roots, she began fixing her specialty: Travelor's Soup.
