I play flute and picc and am first chair in the crap band. I call it the crap band because it IS the crap band. I used to be in the good band, but, I switched out because of evil stupid airheaded blonde dimwits who think they're better then everyone else and should be shot and I think i've just made a run-on. ~reads~ Yep. I'm not gramatically correct today! I used to be one of the second flutes, last chair, but this is because a: I didn't practice my pieces, b: I didn't challenge the person above me. Yeah, that's my story. The funny thing is, I played picc part on all of them, so I played first part anyway. I liked second part better anyway. I heart harmony, it's so pretty.
Keltzy, you know I transferred out because of the she-devil right?

It all started with a clarinet, then went to a flute, then to a trombone...

Keltzy, you know I transferred out because of the she-devil right? Very cool. I will be first or second chair next year*. I will get 2nd row 3rd chair this year after I challenge Ryan. I will beat him. There's a really crappy second flute part on Volver Ala Montana. It sounds horrible. *Lisa (Junior) only does Band for the first semester. During Marching Band she acts as Drum Major (not the best I might add) and during Concert Band she plays Flute. Next year, being a Senior, she'll most likely get first chair unless Ryan or I are really good and our Band Director decides one of us (hopefully me) is better. So, if I beat Ryan and Lisa beats me then she'll be first chair and I'll be second chair. After she leaves, I'll become first chair (hells yeah) and Ryan will be second chair. I'd just have to maintain first chair through challenges Ryan might attack me with through second semester of our Sophomore year, Junior year, and Senior year. Mmm big post.

I guess I like flute best...That's a lotta switching. I used to take piano lessons, but then my teacher died and so in the 6th grade I picked up the flute.

Wow I haven't posted in here forever. Yeah my band is okay, I'm first chair. Though I have no room because I'm on the wrong end crying Thats okay. The person next to me is obsessive about her space, it's annoying. Though I'm trying out for sympohic band soon. It's one band up from the band I would just go into next year. Though sightreading is part of the tryout and I suck at sightreading. Oh also I got a piccolo last weekend! It's so nice smile

Except when, in the middle of the competition, 1 flute and 1 picc are playing the part right, and the other 8 members of the section are completely off, thus throwing the picc player (who KNOWS how to sightread) off, then making the picc player second guess, then making the picc player try to follow the other flutes, making the second chair follow the picc, then killing it. That was GREAT fun. 3. Yes, yes they do. I have a piccy. I heart my piccy. Hehehehe ninja
