SAR101 DSI- I wouldn't do something like that, Kat's using the Oblivion rules for guards, they all are higher levels then us, by a lot. ((umm..Oblivion rules? whats that? anyways thanks, I was just going by character, I dont metagame, and characters dont look at "levels" or whatever, he just percieves something he wants...and tries for it...))

blakat1313 You aren't epic until level 21. XP Still, anybody who tries to do this sort of thing is probably dead in the water."It's not just possible," Dre'gor says, "It's the truth. In many countries where free speech is trampled on by the government songs are used to convey messages and information that would ordinarily not be allowed to be spoken." "I dont know anything about government/ and politics...I only know the ways of my people...looks like I have some learning to do..." stare

That is true, so why don't we send a message through bards telling what we're planning on doing.

DSI: I stole borrowed this idea from a game called The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. In that game, the challenges get harder as you get better. In order to make you put thought into committing crimes, the guards are always 10 levels higher than you are. Also, dark red text is reserved for out of game stuff, dark blue is DM stuff, black is in game. Other text colors are reserved for future use. (two of which are already in use)
"That could work," Dre'gor agrees, "but we'd have to be careful about who we give our message to. If we tell the wrong bard our message, they will surely tell the king. He no doubt has some bards working to make himself seem better to historians. If they catch wind of this, we're all dead."

Well wouldn't you know which one of your fellow bards aren't trust worthy. I figured bards to be a little more organized in that sense.

The bard laughs dryly, "...You take us for a much more organized group than we really are," he explains, "Bards are a loose affiliation of traveling performers at best. We know little of each other, unless it is worth telling in a song."

"I think there could be a way this could work," Cy says, "Bards have spells that make it harder to tell when they are lying, so it would stand to reason that there would be spells that do just the opposite. If we could find a willing participant, we could have them use those spells to see which bards are for us or against us."

That could work but of course we'd have to find a bard that knows that spell or has a scroll with it at the very least.

"Bards do not know the spells that Cy is talking about," Dre'gor says, "we learn only illusions and enchantments. We will have to look for a different kind of caster for this."
