I've decided to take a try at a small experiment, inspired by some of the art created by Linda. I'm trying to create a "Comic book action figure Barbie". My first experiment is Pixie.
Sense I can't find the right combination of skin tone and hair coloring i ripped out all of the hair of one barbie (from Linda's and Oni's very helpful suggestions.) and within the same barbie that was once hairless I'm replacing the hair with the hair from another barbie. (that is without curves and nothing fits on.)
As I expected my daughter if finding my experiment rather interesting. Asking me endless questions on why I'm "Removing the hair from your mask, Mommy." (She calls the different heads masks) And she stole my first barbie. Having outwitted me with her logic I allowed her to keep the doll. And so it begins after 4 1/2 years without a barbie doll.
This is what I have after a week of plucking and rerooting (threading the hair back into the barbie head.)

Once I'm able to locate black semi curly hair in a store I'll add that color. Though I may end up purchasing it over the interwebs.
