It was, perhaps, a testament of how well she knew him that Stormy didn't immediately try to pry him away from what was possibly a hunter in need. Gale cast her a look of gratefulness, his heart in his throat as Kara dragged herself away. He didn't blame her - and in fact, it was important that she did try to get as far away from possible from this damned situation in the first place.
He reached out and took ahold of Stormy's hand, squeezing her fingers.
"I can't tell if he's - actually there or not, but if he is a human..."
Gale trailed off; she knew this already, she knew he couldn't just walk away. He sucked in a sharp breath to steady himself, then saw something just a few feet away that he reached out to snag, Gale holding up the runic bandages with a look of relief.
"We need to try and find shelter," he said, with a glance at Stormy. "Are you all right?"

As Sherry scrambled up out of the sand her hand brushed against something familiar. Bandages. She's lost hers with her coat, so these she picked up. She had a feeling she'd need them.
Now to find that -- There he was. What was left of Chase and his murder-bug - and another hunter saving him? Or was the bug attacking?
"HEY!" Sherry yelled. "Get away from that thing or it'll kill you, too!" No more bug puppets. Tears mixed with sand on her face. No more bug puppets. "Kill it or run!"
Sherry was doing her best to move through the sand towards the pair.

Ah, there they were! Seemed she was either the only one that had been tossed far enough away to not be able to find the rest of the posse, or the rest of them had just been much quicker to scramble back together as a group. Really, it didn't matter, so long as her brother was ok (which it seemed he was).
"Tobin!" She called out, waving him down, and still moving towards them, when something seared against her skin, and she gasped out in pain, looking down to see a sudden welt against skin that has already been charred by acid. Dizziness overtook her then, and she was forced to swallow back a bout of nausea, as she sat down heavily in the sand.

Leslie felt his stomach bottom out, staring up in abject horror. He didn't even know things came in sizes this big, with so many legs and so much hunger.
--
Han gawped at the creature, laughing in the way a person does when faced with horrific odds and a case of sudden onset anxiety, and lots of it.
She managed to escape the poison pit, but the stinging remained. If anything, it seemed to be getting worse - or maybe her shield was really starting to lose its integrity.
Roland scrambled up out of the sand shifting his arm grunting in pain from the giant beast above. He focused on it watching its movements and everything around them in an strange sense of calm. He would be ready to stop whatever came next, at least for now.

It was hard to keep track of things, hard to know what was happening. Nash kept a firm grip on Tobin, but his eyes were elsewhere, searching out Dottie and Dean again, Sonja's close proximity helping to alleviate at least some of his ********> 16 / 40

You get pinned beneath the massive shape of the titan as you try to move away from it. For a terrifying moment it feels like you can't feel your legs, and then the sand is shifting and you squirm out. Your legs sting, they're bleeding now, beyond the Fear shield, but you have to keep on moving. (10 damage, cannot go below 0 on this post).
He felt the slap and took a few extra steps before he stopped. Abbi had stopped by... Nora? Nora was her name yes. He remembered her. Abbi was healing Nora and he glanced to where Kara was and then she was there and then---
Abbi was in the air.
And Bradley's eyes widened as the giant centipede was suddenly over him and he couldn't move and sand was everywhere and why wasn't Yza listening to him--
Then he could move and it hurt, god it hurt but he was alive, he was alive, he was alive.
After a few seconds of lying prone in the sand, October dragged himself up again, fumbling with the bandages, trying to get them around his bleeding legs without too much effort. He could feel his fingers shaking; by the time he finished, they were scarlet.
{ You're gonna be okay. } Tuesday whispered reassuringly, but he was pretty sure that she was just trying to reassure herself as much as him.
He slogged through the snow with as much effort as possible. Nash and his friends weren't exactly the type of people October would have hung out with at all - mostly considering that October was a good several years older than them, and they were all active (he shuddered at the very thought); but he wasn't so cold hearted as to pretend they didn't exist when all of them actually needed help.
Hence why he was going to at least to attempt to help Dottie.
Attempt being the key word.

Well, that was something in need of further study. Sam's eyes shined with anticipation even as it knocked her aside lie she had no weight at all. Even from her spot on the ground, she whispered, "Beautiful."
She looked to Kammy with the same gleam. "This is a wonderful opportunity, I think. Do hunters have a runic for capturing? They must, I'd think--"
Her thought didn't finish as Caelius promptly threw her onto the creature. She couldn't be more pleased with the circumstance, summoned Sunsinger, and clung to her scythe for the best ride of her life.

The centipede's massive body came crashing down right where Chase had been a second ago. He didn't realize he'd been holding his breath the entire time, and coughed a few times to get the sand out of his mouth and lungs. It took a few moments to get back on his feet, but fortunately nothing interrupted it. His hair was a mess, his clothes were a mess, and his glasses were skewed but miraculously not broken yet.
He didn't even get a chance to thank his rescuer when he heard Sherry's voice from way too close for comfort. Had she escaped the centipede that fast!? Chase dodged around behind Ever, grabbing his rescuer by the shoulders as if to assure himself his new rescuer wasn't going anywhere and wasn't also going to turn crazy.
"You have to help me, there's something wrong with her -" Chase explained succintly, staring wide-eyed at Sherry the entire time. "She's trying to kill me!"
One second, October was trying to be a good friend (sort of), and the next he was airborne, colliding with one of the centipedes. His bloodied fingers scrabbled at the side of it; October lunged upwards with as much strength as he could, driving the sword into the side of the centipede to stop his rapid descent down its side, clinging on for dear life.

He scrambled up for air, shaking and pale, his gun lost somewhere in the sand. For a moment, Vasily scrabbled for it, afraid that losing it would mean losing it -- but in the end, the little voice in the back of his mind reminded him that he could simply summon it back.
Hunter weapons were rarely truly lost.
In the searching, though, his fingers closed around something else -- a bandage, like the one the stranger had used on him. He stared at it for a long moment, considering.
"I'm fine!" America chirruped, cheerful now that they were pretty safe and because Lucky was still shirtless. her expression dropped immediately though, seeing the green stuff still on Dawson. it looked painful, even if like, his limbs weren't falling of anything.
Looking around, she got another good look at Mr. Kircher (god. bless.) and then noticed a med kit, just a few feet from the tent.
"Hold tight a sec, I'm gonna grab you some bandages!".
As she stepped out of the shelter, something large moved, but no harm came to her.
