The demon was a bit confused to see the freshling cuddle and purr towards the vespercat. Was he imitating it...? He decided to not question it, however, as this only led to him getting more frustrated or confused. Instead, his flicked up to Farid's ears and then towards the kitty, and realized that Farid's ears were maybe a trait of his species (whatever that was), and not a grimm or imp's ear. This was giving him a headache; why did they have to discover a new species? It made everything so much complicated... How was he supposed to keep track of all this??
Instead, Eli watched Farid cuddle the vespercat with indifference; he wasn't very fond of the kitties, especially when a pet of his could be its lunch. The freshling was happy now, though... Which was a nice change from the crybaby ( (8 SORRY FARID ) that he had to deal with moments before. Crossing his arms, he wasn't expecting the freshling to introduce himself...or want to know his name. He was definitely not used to interacting with others. "I'm Eli," he mumbled.

Giving the ring toss a shot, Zephyr puffed their cheeks when they failed it. "Let's try something else!" they said before dragging Mao elsewhere.
Allumin was quite out of breath at this point. It looked like Baron was a little winded as well. Without a word, Allumin picked up the jackalope and draped him on his shoulders. Baron snuggled down against the back of his neck, and Allumin rose. He brushed his butt off which sent dust, pebbles, and bits of grass fluttering away. Once he was relatively clean, Allumin resumed wandering the festival. He found himself coming up to a dart game booth, and he eyed the distant target. "What do you think? Shall I play a game?" He asked Baron. The familiar lifted it's head and wiggled it's nose into Allumins cheek. Struggling not to giggle like some teen girl, Allumin took the nose nudge as a yes. Allumin paid the boothman for three darts and took careful aim. The targets were rather small and the balloons looked partly deflated. His first two darts missed and bounced off the balloons. The third however popped a baloon, and a small paper fluttered out. The boothman picked it up, then congratulated Allumin as he pulled down a plushie from the hanging display as his win.
Delilah stared at the rose, surprised, and blushed, just a bit, taking it. She carefully braided it into a lock of hair, murmuring "Th...thank you. It's beautiful. I luh-love flowers." She had a moment where she envisioned a dress designed around flowers, and her fingers twitched to sketch it, but she had intentionally left her sketchbook back in her apartment. "I'm gl-glad we met tuh-today, Chessy."

Aellys chuckled a little at Bryony's excitement. "We can do whatever you want, kiddo," he said. "We can start with a game if you like, how about this one?" He tugged his son over to an easy game, one where the players picked up plastic hearts from a bowl of water to see what, if any, prize they would be getting. Aellys let go of Bryony's hand long enough to pluck a heart from the water. "Hey look, your dad won a prize," Aellys laughed softly as he chose a blue and white jackalope plush. "Bryony?" He panicked. "Bry, where'd you go!?"
Bryony bounced happily next to his dad as he peered over the glass bowl, watching as Aellys picked a heart. He was excited for his turn and almost reached in before his dad was finished. As Aellys was being handed his prize, something caught the freshling's eyes and he turned to see a jackalope hopping nearby. Bryony immediately stepped away from the table to follow the bunny, grinning as it came closer and hopped easily into his arms. He stood there petting it lightly for a minute until he heard his dad calling for him. "Here, dad! Look!" he giggled and held his new familiar up. "It looks just like your plushie!"

Tamandani chuckled softly as she watched the girls. They were so very different, but they had had each other long before she had come into their lives. She marveled at them every day, and today was no different. Maylis had been so nervous until Dani had given her a bag of candy. Crux was excited beyond belief and chose their first game, but insisted that Tamandani play first. "Alright," she chuckled and tossed her paper airplane toward the target. It landed near the center, earning her a pink stuffed fennekit. She smiled as she held it, and moved so Crux could take her turn.
Crux clapped and cheered for Dani when she won herself a plushie. And now it was Crux's turn. She held the paper airplane in her fingers and took up a pose that she was sure would help her make the shot perfectly. Her tail flicked back and forth as she took her time aiming. When she finally let go of it, her wings fluttered behind her as she whispered her hopes for it to land in the middle. And then it did. She gasped and screeched happily, jumping up and down as the vendor handed her a cute little purple flitterat. "So cute!"

Maylis smiled when Dani won herself a plushie and leaned against her as they watched Crux take her turn. Maylis hid her giggles behind a hand; Crux looked kind of funny wiggling her tail as she aimed. But all the silly posing and wiggling paid off when she landed her plane perfectly in the center of the heart, earning her a familiar. And then it was Maylis' turn. Her heart raced a little and she took her airplane apprehensively, staring at the target. She could do this. Right? Right. She tossed her plane toward the center....and missed. Oh, well. At least she won a pretty purple bracelet.
Leto gave out a really big smile glad that while obviously the festival was chaotic Jaden still had fun, even if getting hit by plushies took a lot out of a little freshling. However it made sense. Leto himself wasn’t really made up of races that were known for their boundless energy after all. Jaden had the same two races as well even if he had an extra race. He shook his head to clear his thoughts and had to smile at Atre. Of course it was about then their room got another visitor in the form of a purple fluffbug.
“Ah no I think the little guy got taken along for the ride. If you look really carefully he’s shaking a bit. Have to be careful or he’ll probably squirt us. Ink from fluffbugs really doesn’t smell good. ” Leto commented being really careful. He let the little bug crawl onto his hand and up his shoulder trying not to make sudden movements.
Atre was of course as a fluffbug soaking up all the attention Jaden was giving him. It was obvious that he had come to like Leto’s roommate, still when the other fluffbug emerged from Leto’s flowers. He none the less flew over to check it out. As if seeing another fluffbug the purple one calmed down considerably.

Leto would love to have another fluffbug ^.^
Solomon wasn’t quite sure why he was outside during the festival but his mom said that if he had the chance he should definitely try to go to one. The food did smell delicious and some of the games did seem fun. He hadn’t really tried too many of them out though. While a lot of his traits seemed to come from the nightmare that had imbued the stone before his mom he did have Lerin’s competitive drive.
Still there was a fun game where you had to scoop up a fake enchanted skyfish model that Solomon did indulge in. Seeing as he had grabbed a silver looking one he was given the second tier prizes which seemed to be
He hadn't expected her to reveal her own color preference, but he immediately snatched up the chance to store that away for later. Blue and red; easy to remember due to her own color scheme. Got it. He was relieved when she knew what the pink thing in his hand was, and the wing flap had been a nice addition.... No, Fakir, focus on the familiar!
"A Coatl?" He questioned, voice hinting at his own amazement she knew something like this already. He still was wrapping his head around two new types of people coming into the academy! He couldn't keep up with what familiars they did or didn't bring. He almost jumped when suddenly, without warning, another Coatl curled around his leg, squeezing. Oh no no no! One was enough! He couldn't take in two familiars he knew nothing about! Wait a second.... that adorable wing flap and delighted tone.... Swiftly, he gently scooped the blue Coatl up, extending his arm.
"I can't take two. I don't know anything 'bout them and I don't think I can care for two at the moment.... do you want to take this one home?" He refrained from adding that the Coatl was blue. She had eyes. She could see.
Oh, the sight they must be. Cherubi clung tightly to her new boyfriend, not even wanting to let go! It took a long time for her to allow herself to take herself away from him, letting out a nervous but delighted laugh as she did so. Wait, what? Friend? Whe- oh! Cherubi slightly jumped as she spotted the tightening familiar, leaning down to gently pluck the Coatl off her leg and allow it to slither up her arm and loosely drape around her shoulders.
"It seems I have!" She laughed, giving the new familiar a smile before flicking her gaze back to Conan, head tilting to the side as she spotted the flower before, nervously and with a soft sigh, her hand extended, fingers wiggling.
"W-what do you want to, um, what do you want to do? Oh!" She looked down at her hand, extending it with the necklace inside. "Can you help me put this on?"
Kindle squeaked as Jericho was smacked right in the face with a plushie, her wings fluttering nervously before she reached out, touching his hands and tugging on it towards a safer direction, somewhere with benches and tables.
"Maybe we can.... go over here, for a second? I mean, you don't have to.... I-I – it just seems safer... and it has food stalls near it.... " Her cheeks flushed a purple color, head turning to the side to examine the fallen plushie before she released his hand, her own flying up to nervously fumble together, the plushie she had firmly stuck against her side and an arm. This was a terrible idea, she shouldn't be here. She was just embarrassing both of them.

Nex wasn't about to deny any request Korvau had, so of course he accepted when the boy asked to go to the balloon animal stand. Shifting to get up from his mess of a state, the boy grunted in approval, about to take Korv to the stand when, abruptly, a rose was handed to him by the boy. He blinked back at Korv, eyes flipping to examine the flower. Why did Korv think he knew what to do with it himself? He wasn't skilled with flowers... but, of course he was going to take it.
"I'll put it on my desk." He stated, accepting the rose and tucking it behind his ear before reaching out, taking Korv's hand to begin leading him to the balloon stand.
