I used to be afraid of cluttered noises ╔═.❀.═════════════════════════════════════════════╗ ╚═════════════════════════════════════════════.❀.═╝ Now I’m afraid of silence ▬ ▬ ▬ Shira made a face for a moment. After seeing Divine for so long being so powerful it was very difficult to see him barely being able to fight. "Dammit..." she muttered as she stared at Divine. She attacked again, quickly launching multiple shockwaves at him. ▬ ▬ ▬

  [ Demon-Kishin Hybrid ]|[ Divine Hope ]|[ Title: Demon King]|[ Condition: Greatly ill and getting worse] ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊While he awaited Shira's next move, Divine would slowly make his way towards her and Atticus, showing not an ounce of pain or fear, despite being so heavily injured. As he had got closer to her, Divine was able to make out her little mutter. Hearing that, something within Divine's mind snapped and seconds before her shock-waves would hit him, Divine vanished completely. Appearing right behind Shira and thrusting his fist down at the girl. He took her cursing as sign of disrespect and pity. Divine would not tolerate anyone pitying him or looking down on him. He might not have been as powerful as he used to be, but he still can put up a long enough fight, that could possibly still kill at least one of them there. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊

[ Demon-Kishin Hybrid ]|[ Divine Hope ]|[ Title: Demon King]|[ Condition: Greatly ill and getting worse] ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊As Shira managed to dodge his fist, Divine could not muster up the speed he needed in order to dodge her counter-wave, so he had no choice but to take it full force. Even as the wave hit his body and damaged his internal organs as well as his arm, Divine did not let it get to him. Shaking off the attack, Divine took advantage of the fact that Shira was in close range to him, using a very basic technique that he had mastered as a lower class demon, Divine channeled the madness he gave off into his soul and used it as a powerful wave like before. Essentially he would unleash blast of his own madness at Shira, in hopes that it would strike her. Divine's madness is far stronger than the little amount Shira and Atticus possessed, so if it would enter her body she would become wracked with pain, temporarily immobilizing her. Once he unleashed the attack, Divine's body was overcome with tremendous pain, causing him to cough more and more as black blood continued to pour from his mouth. Remarkably, ever since arriving, Divine had never once showed that he was in pain, despite the hell that his body had been through. He has yet to be brought to his knees. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊

Never Again...As Divine coughed up more black blood, a sudden flash of bright green light rocketed towards Divine. It was none other than Herald, who had been busy finishing off the demons around the group while Noira had been obliterating the knights. His Afterburn abilities were in full effect and he was not holding back. Fiery green energy streamed from every green marking on his body while the green energy that trailed him swirled around Divine, attempting to attack him from all angles. "You've lived far too long!" He roared, his claws coated in green flames as he began making rapid slashes towards Divine, every attack meant to rend and tear him limb from limb. The sheer heat given off from the energy around him would burn and make it hard to breathe as the air was heated up to an extreme degree. Will I be bound in chains

Seeing this, Divine knew that there was nothing that he could do to block the attacks, let own counter them. So, he simply ran towards the slashes, each one that hit, would cause Divine's skin to burn and be sliced off. From just a few of the slashes, Divine's burnt flesh filled the air, combined with the overpowering stench of blood. Had Mirai not erected the barrier when she did, Divine would have been literally shredded apart and burned alive at the same time. However, she did create her barrier, thus prolonging Divine's life, but for only a few minutes. His arms were all but useless as the many wounds he had sustained, caused black blood to flow profusely. It was a miracle that he was still standing, especially after taking much of Herald's attacks. Panting heavily, Divine continued to stand, out of sheer willpower. Just as Divine was about to make a step forwards, Mirai would suddenly appear before him, thrusting her sword deep into his chest and piercing his heart. This caused Divine to stop and stare at her, his eyes looking straight into hers.
As his heart had been punctured, Divine was all but dead not, however despite all the pain that he was in, he still managed to lift his bloodied arm up and place it on Mirai's shoulder. His black blood would start trickling down her sword as it poured slowly from his mouth. Still looking down at her, Divine would form a small grin on his face, "Well...done." he muttered before gripping her shoulder tighter and moving his body deeper and deeper unto her sword. He would end up having the sword completely pierce through his heart and protrude from his back. Divine's breathing started to slow as his madness was completely gone, his heart had already stopped beating, but through the use of his soul, Divine forced his body to move. Raising his other arm and placing both around his daughter, Divine would embrace Mirai tightly. As he could no longer speak, Divine would give his last words telepathically to Mirai, unaware of the connection she had established with the others.
"Mirai, I have caused you nothing but pain and agony, since your birth. I've put you through so much and now I have taken away your innocence." he said as his embrace on Mirai, started to lighten, "I have no right, to call myself your father, nor have I any right to be loved by you." Suddenly, Divine would cough up even more blood, "But, even after all I've done, all I've said, I've never once considered you as worthless or inferior. You are my beloved daughter, made from love and blessed by fate. In you, I can see the person that I could never be." Divine paused as he let go of Mirai, "Mirai, despite all my crimes and sins, I never once stopped thinking about you or your mother."
Suddenly, an intense, purple aura would surround Divine's body as pieces of his flesh started to peel off, almost like paper and then fade away. "I do not recall ever saying this to you, but I am happy to have been allowed to be your father. However brief our time was together, know this, I will love you forever." As he finished speaking, Divine entire body began to peel off and vanish, until it was just his head floating there. "This is farewell, for good, Mirai, Atticus." Divine added as, for the first time since, Divine sincerely and genuinely gave Mirai a warm and loving smile, however, that smile would soon vanish completely as his head faded out of existence. All that remained of Divine's presence was his violet soul which hovered in the air in front of Mirai.
Atticus who had been listening intently to Divine's last words, would transform back into his human form and land on the ground, not looking at Divine. As Divine's body began to fade, Atticus could not watch, it was too painful for him. Turning his back, Atticus began to cry, his tears were filled with anger, sorrow, regret, every emotion that he had been feeling at that moment. Despite everything that Divine had done, he was and will always be, Atticus' father and having to watch him die, would be tough on both Atticus and Mirai. While Mirai may have been the one to end it, Atticus was the one that felt the most pain. From his past as Kain to his present as Atticus, he had been the closest to Divine and will never be the same now that he was gone. ◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊▬◊

The Nine Tailed Witch
Even if you pass away,
even if you die today
As Divine perished and his very body began to fade away into nothingness the remaining two mannequins slowly backed away towards Noira. They shuffled their feet slowly, as if more aware now of their surroundings. Once they were feet from Noira and Chilia they knelt down, perched in place as they bowed their heads like gargoyles, waiting for something. A small spark appeared in between Chilia and Noira and soon the tiny blue spark roared into life as it erupted and twisted into a large burning fireball that trailed a good many feet into the air. As the blue flames began to dissipate the familiar visage of the fox witch began to appear.
She floated between the two blackwings members, seeming effervescent as see gazed over the battlefield. Her new witches robes were dawned upon her very daintily, the stark white cloth much different than the dark black that she wore the last time she was seen by the students. The first thing she noticed was the very soul of Divine, floating so peacefully among the wreckage of Death City. She shook her head, an unimpressed look on her face. "Well it looks like the demon king croaked," Ashlyn said, looking at Mirai as she held the blood stained sword in front of her. "My, and by his own daughter," Ashlyn continued, looking over to Noira. "It looks like everything has come full circle, just as you wished," Ashlyn finished, looking back at the students. Now that Divine had been slain for good, it was just a matter of getting rid of these pesky kids.

She watched quietly before seeing her partner return to human form, obviously in much grief from what was going on. She placed a hand gently on his shoulder in an attempt to comfort him though, at the same time, she wasn't really sure if he wanted that. She glanced towards Noira then, glaring at her silently. ▬ ▬ ▬

 "Whether it may be Demon, Shinigami, or Human..." Noira watched as Divine had fallen. She glanced towards the other two "Time to start heading out." she told both of them. She glanced towards Shira then "Congrats. Looks like you will get your precious city back and you got rid of a huge threat as well." she started before looking towards Mirai who was now on the ground "I wonder at what cost though..." she muttered and looked at Shira again "Your parents and the others I held captive are fine. They are trapped in a dungeon in the school if you want to retrieve them." she said before turning "Let's go." she told the others and began walking. "All will bow down before me in the end."

☽ Emma watched what was occurring silently. It seemed everything was over now. She frowned as something seemed wrong with Mirai's wavelength. They needed to get her to some sort of medical attention. She looked towards Herald to see what he would do. She wasn't sure how he would like Mirai basically jumping in and killing Divine instead of him doing it. ☾
