The matter of the Sneasel aside, it seemed the landing would be the most pressing of Raven's problems; rather then what he'd been expecting. For this however, the boy was prepared...at least emotionally.
Raven's eyes narrowed, his hair tossed back by the wind. Unlikely that the bird would be able to hear him passed the roar of the wind, the boy reached out with his one free arm and brought his hand near the Skarmory's eye. He pointed down. A simple gesture yes, but also easy to understand.
Tilting his wings accordingly, Crowe began to make his descent...though perhaps a bit more rapid then anyone would have liked. The Skarmory hit the ground hard, talons tearing into the earth as he began running forward in an attempt to slow himself down further before coming to a halt. Such a landing likely would have broken the leg of a lesser bird...or at least one not covered from head to toe in steel.
At last, Crowe halted, breathing heavily, Raven sliding off the birds back with the Sneasel under one arm. He'd place her in a better position soon enough, but first he had to be certain of their surroundings... ((Oh, and for the sake of it LunLun I'm going to respond to your post in much the same fashion so...the roll of 9 does nothing. Sorry, for not actually posting something for it. I'm a tad pressed for time.))

What Riku would find at the end of the next hall would be something of a surprise. It seemed almost like a rather stereotyped treasure chamber...or at least the entrance to one. The walls were heavily decorated here, the image of Lunatone marking the walls on the left, and Solrock on the right, the two sharing the middle walls. Again more runes covered the stone, torches providing the light.
On the far side of the chamber was a massive, intricately carved stone door. One could almost half expect some sort of pedestal with an ancient idol sitting on the other side; but to discover what truly did lay there, Riku would have to pass the final test...and it would be the most difficult of all.
Gears groaned; the floor began to rumble as if from an earthquake, then...it appeared. Gears spinning upon it's chest, the Pokemon passed straight through the wall. It's very steps were what made the ground shake. Nearly then twice height of Riku, and more then the child could ever hope to lift, this was the Guardian of the Treasure Chamber. Golurk.
">Meet your final test child...<" The Lunatone called out to her from nowhere, and everywhere ">...this, is the Test of Strength.<"
With such a name, there could be only one possible answer. Riku was expected to fight this being!

((No problem - Though I kind of already explained the area. Three paths to choose from now, Raven can go straight upon the land bridged, up, upon the floating masses of rock, or try and swim downwards into the water.))
The girl would quickly encounter the same thing ...as she stood on the edge of the new land ...or lack there is. She had two choices to make, the third she couldn't even consider since she doubt she could breathe water.
She could go forward ....along the pathway of rocks, or she could try and go up ...and climb the pathway of rocks. She wanted to go up, but, she knew that the pokemon she was looking for wouldn't be found if she went upwards at all. The land path might yield what she wants as she watches the mist roll across the water's surface ...hiding how far that rock path might go.
She would hate to leap out there and find a dead end not more than 15 feet from where she began. And she knew if she went down she would find a water type, but she couldn't hold her breathe for long.
She sighed.
"Aella, for once I am going to recall you."
She declares as the Emolga looked a bit stun.
"The best place to find what I need is underwater, and you are an electric type." "I hate to get a shock just because you are on my shoulder."
Her decision was made as Victoria would look to see that the boy had came in for a landing in much the same place. She would sigh openly before she would drop her jacket on the ground and literally jump into the water.
She wouldn't be able to get far in her dive, but she was going to try and go as deeply as she possibly could.
(1/5 for air)

{1/10???)
The surrounding before Raven was that of a single landmass in the sea. It was pure luck that the Skarmory hadn't splash down as he would find that beyond his point that the rocks would continued ...until after about the third one it would disappear into the midst of a rolling mist across the water's surface. Too thick to see where it would go further ...that was the end of his observation there.
Then there is the water, where a splash would be heard behind him ...as it would seem that Victoria had decided to search for her pokemon by sea. One could try and swim for it, and then there was by air. For this island has always had it's strange quirks and it seems it was was no different now as their were actually land masses that floated above his head.
Three paths lay before him, and it was up to choose. One by land, two by sea, or three by air .....which way would he choose to travel.

--- What the girl would immediately after sinking into the icy depths would oddly come as the precise answer to her prayers. A shade or two lighter then most of her kind, the icy blue appearance of the Lapras seemed to only increase the calm that surrounded her. Her gaze was serene, still young and bright, but somehow quite wise. This would likely reveal itself to be the least aggressive encounter Victoria had encountered the entire day...
">And what brings you hear child?<" She asked gently, her voice sweet. The Lapras almost seemed to smile at the girl, a warm motherly smile; and it was that tilt of the head which would reveal an odd trait of the Lapras. A dark spot beneath her left eye, much like a beauty mark.

Raven looked over the three paths. By water...an extreme disadvantage for him, and another chance to encounter the honorless girl. By air, another disadvantage..and a spot he didn't need to fill upon his team. Then there was by land...Potential for both problems, but the off chance for neither. Ultimately it was the sensible route, and he still needed that bone.
Adjusting the Sneasel again so that she now road on his shoulders, Raven proceeded forward down the land based path. He could only hope he found what he was searching for.
Crowe followed silently behind them for the moment...well, as silently as a bunch of clanking metal feathers would allow him.

((Umm...Grey, and this is my fault for not telling you, but you shouldn't post up the encounters this time. That way, people don't try out each path just because of the pokemon there. Instead, it has to fit better with what the trainer can actually do or accomplish. In other words, it's a secret what pokemon can be found in the island's ring))
Victoria had dove down and her eyes would be forced closed by the sheer chill of the water. She would force them open then as she would see the Lapras just a bit pass her ...a serene and calm pokemon. And she almost gagged ....ss she heard it's sweet voice.
If she didn't have to hold her breathe ...as she turns in the water.
It wasn't like she could talk to it ...as she waves at it with one hand. She wanted a water type worthy of her, and not some bleeding heart. She already had one such in her team as she would try her best to ignore the Lapras and continue downwards ...at first.
A thought occurred to her.
She could only get so far on her own ...as she reaches out a hand towards her. A gesture that her kind might be use to in accepting rides as she also points downwards. SHe wanted to go as deep as possible here ...she wanted to find that perfect water type for herself, but to find it ...she needed to go deeper ...much deeper.
Thus, she asked without saying a word to the Lapras for her help in getting further down into the water.

(2/10)
Though this land was spotted only spots in the water as Raven enters the mist and discovers that he was going to have to jump to get to his next area. The land growing further and further apart with each movement. This was the land mass that skim the water ....as eyes would rise from the sea to watch, and an feeling of something dark would suddenly press upon the group's shoulders as they walked.
The air seemed to grow thick and harder to breathe as the mist itself lost that fluffy white look and started to turn a tinge of grey.
Things were rapidly changing with each step they took further down that pathway.

((Fair enough. Removed it. Though that didn't really stop me from choosing based on that very fact. sweatdrop ))
The Lapras would tilt her head slightly to one side at the girl's gesture. Apparently, though quite serene in her nature, the Water-Type was not particularly bright; as she began swimming downward...without Victoria. The Lapras would be far and away before the girl would ever be able to catch up.
Not that the girl would be getting particularly far, as another Pokemon greeted her. This one with a significantly different reaction.
">Get Out!<" Came the underwater shout, the next moment a Horsea would float into the girl's light of sight. Floating into view, the Pokemon's words might not have been clear, but it's gaze and tone spoke volumes. It wanted her to leave...now.

Raven simply narrowed his eyes and proceeded forward. There was no sense in worrying about the atmosphere, he'd simply have to be prepared for anything which might come his way. "You ok up there?" He finally asked, looking up to the Sneasel. There was little chance of him understanding her clearly, but tone would at least give him a hint.

Victoria almost open her mouth in disappointment.
Her hands moving to keep her jaw from dropping in her disappointment ...at the fact that the pokemon had quite literally going off and left her. She knew Lapras to be overly gentle, but to be stupid as well ....well she wouldn't have guessed it. But, when a pokemon is that lovely something has to be lost in the transition. Though it was quickly replaced with the sight of something a hundred times better as her eyes seemed to glow at the sight of the pokemon in front of her.
A Horsea, that was just what she was searching for. A pokemon that she felt would best fit her team...and as it's voice came at her with a trill that seemed ready for battle ...she knew this was love.
Her hand going to her belt as she recognized a very big problem, but, she hoped that Aella would have the sense to come out with her breathe held. Afterall, she had already shown the pokemon that they were going to be underwater for this one ....as she releases the pokemon into the water.
The Emolga's eyes would go wide ...as she sucked in water, and with quick and powerful strokes she would swim upwards before running in a batter state.
No, Aella hadn't been ready for water combat, but with this over with ....if she managed to capture this pokemon ...there would be no place where she would be at an disadvantage. Not, but water, not by land, and not by air, and she smiled as she practically made it clear that they were to battle.
Though Aella wasn't sure how effective her moves would be underwater. AellaEmolga [F] Lv 4 Nature: Rash Stats: HP:19/19/PP:23/ATK:12/DEF:11/SPD:14/SP-ATK:13/SP-DEF:9 MOVES: - Air Slash - Charm - Quick Attack EXP: 5/300

((Understood, see you later then ((4/10))
The Sneasel would simply whimper lightly. Yes, she was alright, but she really missed her parents and the further they got from the crater she knew ...the less likely she was to find them. Her claws was careful not to dig into him as she would shake her head and answer a bit less sadly.
"Sneasel...snea."
((I am alright))
It was the best she could do ...considering that if she had been found by those Weavile's first she would be dead. Even as young as she is, she understood that much and was grateful to the person whom was currently carrying her.
Though her gratitude wouldn't make her stop shivering as something would splash free of the water just a few feet in front of them. Landing on the ground as the midst would shroud it's identity for the moment ...except for those dark glowing eyes.
A Wooper would materialize and she would seem to calm down as it would wink at them and start to raise a huge cry as it screamed over and over ...Woooooooooooooper.
It was a sound that would make any pokemon clap it's ears as it seems that it was giving an early warning call to all the inhabitants of this area.

The girl would find herself exiting one forest and appearing in another as the trees themselves would be dead give away. While the trees before were soft and full of life, the trees she would enter into now would be without leaves mostly and those that did ...had a quality that would make one thing that touching them would make them crumble. Or if one rubs a finger against such leaves they would have a huge gash in their hands ...this is the Petrified forest. A forest that has been lost in time.
PETRIFIED FOREST
A forest that has trees as hard as steel. The wood has been harden by time, this is a place where ancient pokemon roam ....and where the past and the future meets. It is said that those that journey here can sometimes if they are very lucky be touched by the master of time. Though it might be very time consuming to find the treasure buried only bark deep in the trees.
