Sorry mate, but I will never get a cyntiquil unless it is to fill up my poekdex... In my opinion he is the worst fire type starter and the worst starter pokemon period rolleyes My heart will always be for the grass type heart

picking grass type is basically putting the game on easy mode so blah i like fire because well im a pyro maniac o.o-sets Liger's foot on fire-

How is picking grass putting the game on easy mode? If anything it's like putting it on hard mode because of all the problems you face...
In Gold and Silver, there is no easy with grass type. I like the challenge 3nodding Not to mention, most grass starters are the most balanced out of the three types
Top 5 Favorite starters:
1) Treeko
2) Chicarita
3) Squirtle
4)Mudkip
5) Torterra (although, I didn't like how they did that generation))

Well if you ask me... the other starters (except for the water) got crappy
Chimar was a monkey version of Torchic (bleah... not my favorite anyways)
Piplup bridged the gap between water and steel (Love this one)
and
Turtwig made it even hard for grass to succeed by adding more weaknesses as a ground/grass type (beware the ice T^T)

you have a point the best of that seasons starters was piplup I never really liked the others anyway
My favorites are:
1) Torchic

well grass is considered difficulty on easy starting from the first pokemon red and blue where picking bulbasaur was putting the game on easy since u can easily beat rock water with grass attack and by the time u get to the fire gym leader u should have a pokemon with a water attack already so basically it makes it so u can have alot of different digimon by the time u get to fire type
