She put her hand in the water and it was surprisingly cool against her hurt hand. She squeaked and moved her hand around in it, making small splashes and waves.

He chuckled at that, twisting his head away from the waves. "Easy there kiddo, I'm trying not to get my head wet with you here." Reaching around he pulled her forward, putting her legs in the water. "How do you feel now?" Then he looked over to Moya. "Why don't you come in with us?"

Moya smiled and got into the water, diving down when it was up past her hips. She swam to them and bumped into Nik's legs before grabbing Shilo's feet, ticking them and coming up above the water.
Shilo squeaked in surprise and almost found a way to crawl out of the water without her dad's help. When she realized it was her mom she calmed down and started to splash about in the water again, splashing Moya in the face and giggling.

Laughing he lifted Shilo out of the water so she quit splashing, standing again and holding her in one arm. Shaking the water out of his hair he wrapped his other arm around Moya, kissing her head. "Having fun?"

Moya chuckled and kissed Nik's cheek while nodding. "It took me a bit to figure out how to do that, but it was worth the moment."
Shilo was suddenly disappointed that she was out of the water. She looked at her dad and started to hit him. No where near hard enough to hurt but it was strong enough to get his attention so she would be put back into the water.

Nik threw Shilo in the air before catching her again, doing it one more time. He just wanted to stop getting beat by a baby. "I'll put you back, I'll put you back, calm down. You can't hurt me anyway, your fist is the size of one of my fangs." Letting go of Moya he pretended to drop Shilo in the water, catching her when she was diaper deep in the water. "Better?"

Shilo laughed and splashed around, getting soaked with the splashes, only laughing more.
Moya chuckled and stood next to Nik. "She sure is enthusiastic when she finds something she likes."

"Oh yeah, very enthusiastic." Shaking his head looked towards the sun, seeing it setting now. "Come on, time to get back home before the sun goes down." Taking Moya's hand he walked back to the shoreline, stripping Shilo's clothesand wrapping her in his jacket, pulling his hood over her head to mess with her. "Moya, strip your dress and just pull on my shirt." Pulling a plastic bag out of the jacket pocket he handed it to her. "Put yours and Shilo's clothes in here."

Moya did what he asked and removed her dress, putting it in the plastic bag and pulling his shirt over her head. She grabbed Shilo's clothes as well and put it in the bag, tying a loose knot in the top so they could wash them later. "Alright, lets go home."
Shilo looked up at her dad then at the water. She wanted to get back in but didn't want to make him mad. She settled in his arms and sighed.

Nik heard Shilo sigh and kissed her head, holding her tighter. "We'll come back another time, baby. But I'd rather us not be out after dark nowadays." When he was alone he stayed out all hours of the night. He only had to worry about himself. Now he had them, and if anything happened to them there would be no stopping him. Taking Moya's hand he led them home quickly, not caring that he was shirtless or his pants were wet. The goal was just to get home without any problems. For some reason he had a feeling that was asking for too much.

Shilo smelled something familiar and shifted, jumping out of her dad's arms and ran off into the forest, sniffing the ground. She found a foot attached to a man and cowered there at his feet.
Moya ran off after Shilo franticly, dropping the bag of clothing as she went. She picked up Shilo before noticed the man and screamed loudly. "Cain!" She hid Shilo against her chest and backed up slowly.
Cain laughed and walked up to Moya slowly, pinning her to a tree. "Your mother may not have been able to continue the work, long enough to let your brother get away. Now its my turn to continue the work, and I need you still." He reached out his hands and put them on either side of her head. "And look, you even have a mutt for me to play with too."

"Moya!" Damnit Shilo. He should have kept a better grip on her. Cursing he ran after Moya, he didn't realize she could get the fast and lost her for a minute. But when he found her he stopped, his vision immediately turning red. All he saw was a man he didn't know, and a frantic looking Moya clinging to Shilo while pinned to a tree. His control was fading faster than he ever thought it could. Even with Moya's father. "Get. Away. From them." And maybe I'll let you keep a limb or two.

Cain looked at Nik and then back to Moya. "Looks like you got yourself a family. Tisk tisk my sweet, you weren't aloud to do that." He grabbed her hair and pulled it hard, making her stand in front of him. "I believe this pretty little lady still belongs to science purposes."
Moya screamed out in pain and dropped Shilo, grabbing Cain's arm to try to get him to let go.
Shilo ran off and hid behind a tree that was close to her dad and whimpered.
"Aww you dropped my puppy Moya, now I only have you to play with." He laughed darkly and pulled on her hair to make her scream again, liking that sound. "Come here protector, lets see what you can do." He picked her up and took off at a dead run, going deeper into the forest part of the park.

"Shilo, stay here!" Even as he spoke he took off at a dead run after them, jumping and shifting to his wolf form and running even faster. He was way passed pissed, and his eyes were glowing in rage as he snarled. Getting close enough he jumped again, biting Cain's leg hard and dropping with him. Standing again he pulled and pulled with his teeth, dragging him back even with his fangs in Cain's calve.

Cain screamed out in pain and almost let his grip slip, but he still had a hold of Moya's hair and pulled on it harder, making her scream loudly. "Let go of me you dog! Or I can kill her, no matter how much I need her I can kill her!" He lifted his leg up and kicked Nik in the chest, throwing him into a tree. He pulled Moya between his legs and held her by her neck, keeping a nice pressure on it.
She reached her hand out to Nik and started to cry. "Nik please, just go back and take care of Shilo. I'll be alright." She choked a little as Cain squeezed on it to make her be quiet.
"If she was able to make that little puppy of yours, maybe she can have my children so I have more to do things to." He was pushing buttons, wanting to see what this dog could do before he killed Moya.
