*Wonders why Obama got the Nobel Peace Award* @___@
But I've been saying for years that the Nobel Peace Prize is kind of a sham. I like Obama and I hope his efforts aren't wasted but they haven't come to fruition yet and he's only been in office for 9 months. Not even Bill Clinton got a Nobel Peace Prize nor did Reagan. I mean, what?
Oh well.
Edit: Marge Simpson is on the cover of Playboy?
Freakin' A does that show need to be canceled.

I know, I was thinking that too! Lois Griffin would be more suitable since she's seen as a little dirty but not Marge. She was mad that Itchy and Scratchy had too much cartoon violence on it. Or if Bart swears. :/
I've been thinking that The Simpsons is merely a show with prestige nowadays since it's been on the air for more than 20 years. All the Hollywood actors and actresses that go on now use it as such (since they aren't even funny). The Simpsons use to make fun of all the celebrities. ):
I think this Playboy thing is just a publicity stunt since The Simpson's ratings have been going down the tube for a while now. I don't know the state of Playboy but I'd take a guess at the same reason.
And geez nice Ryo. Strange, I haven't seen you here in a while! Where have you been?

I've been studying my a** off, and just thought I needed a break from gaia since I was getting pissed off from it. Still on the break though, with ASL kicking of into overdrive it's going to be tough to keep up on anything on the internet.
Ceramics has been fun though, we've finished all of the hand builds and start on the kick wheels wednesday. I want to do more glazing though. crying
You have my number though so you can bug me if you want, if I'm in class or studying it'll just take me a while to reply. after 12:00pm before 4:30pm I'm free most of the time, might be hanging out with friends though.

Aw makes sense. Yeah you should take a break. XD I'll be going to HHN in less than a week so wheee~ I hope you get a good grade in ASL. Glazing sounds fun actually. I wish I took ceramics.

Oh, I'm sure I'll get a good grade in ASL, since I'm really putting my all into it.
The homework book questions I'm not really putting much effort into it but then I'm using my notes from last semester to make it easier for me. 3nodding
I suck at seeing shapes in ASL though. sweatdrop
HHN? And Glazing is fun I hope the raku will turn out better though.

Fun fact: when I was a kid, I thought Queen Anne's Lace was a flower, not a weed, and wanted my mom to buy me some at the flower shop. sweatdrop

Social Networking; Class DistinctionI think this is an interesting article on CNN. It talks about the social divisions between Facebook and MySpace and how teens with less income are more likely to go on MySpace while Facebook people tend to be older and earn more. Worth a read.

i've never had either, but i didn't realize the migration i was seeing amongst my friends was not universal - i just got the impression Myspace was dying out and Facebook was the new thing. That said, I totally called that the article was going to speculate on the provenance of the sites - obviously, a Harvard-based site is going to skew towards an affluent and highly educated population, and since it's ABOUT connecting with your friends, it would naturally expand to the friends of people in that group, who are likely to be in the same group themselves. It was seeded for that from the beginning.

Yeah, not to mention that MySpace profiles are usually filled with a billion images that slow users' computers. Now include slideshows and a music playlist to round it out. :/ FB seems easier to navigate through (though I wouldn't know from experience. heh).
